PAMPERED BY MY THREE BROTHERS: THE RETURN OF THE NEGLECTED HEIRESS-Chapter 1820: Atlas’ fate sealed
Chapter 1820: Atlas’ fate sealed
Under the surface, what Atlas had done looked so easy. However, Sybil knew that wasn’t the case. Although she had to consider the simmering anger brewing within her people’s hearts, something like that would easily sway them.
So, why did they listen to Atlas?
It was simple—Atlas just said every damn word that needed to be said without any pretense. He didn’t project himself as someone who was there to save the day. He came with clear intentions and made that very clear.
He wanted the Order, and he would get it.
Even if it meant ordering Sybil’s own men to kill their own boss.
Who in their right mind would do that? If anything, Sybil would expect being forced to surrender or dying in a confrontation. But Atlas just stood there and talked; he didn’t flinch, didn’t think.
Just by that, Atlas was able to showcase what kind of person he was and what kind of leader he would be.

[Present Time]
Unlike all the trucks that had taken the wide road to the mansion, Atlas and Sybil rode in a luxurious sedan.
Atlas sat on one side, eyes fixed on the windshield. Meanwhile, Sybil observed him from the corner of her eye.
"Young man, you do understand that once I announce you as the new head of the Zorken and the Shadow Order, you’ll have to leave behind the life you once knew." Her calm voice broke the silence between them, making Atlas turn his attention to her. "Just like how I’ve given your sister a chance, I will give you a chance."
"I can lend you a hand now, and forget that you wanted them," she offered. "We’ll even forget that you’ve been here, and said what you said. Once your family is safe, we’ll part ways."
Atlas blinked ever so tenderly. He didn’t answer, but rather thought about the granny’s offer. For someone in her standing, he didn’t doubt her words.
All he had to do was say the word.
"If..." he spoke, trailing off as the thought formed in his head. "I mean, if Nathalie Zorken falls tonight, then that would leave Zoren as the last existing Zorken, correct?"
The granny raised her white, mixed with black strands, brows. "Correct."
"Then, thank you for the offer, but I’d have to refuse it."
"And why is that?"
"Because I believe the Zorken Family has other dilemmas and affairs that wouldn’t get fixed just by taking down the rebellious daughter," he explained calmly, back pressed into the seat. "I’d rather be sure that in the future, no one would bother my sister and her husband because of this bloodline."
"Moreover, I believe Nathalie Zorken has used her family name in other things to create such a large army for herself," he added in a knowing tone. "I do not want debtors coming at us in the end because we took down their creditor—but you already know that."
He cocked his head to the side. "Isn’t that why you offered such a generous offer?"
Sybil didn’t answer until the corners of her wrinkled eyes squinted. Her thin mouth curled into a satisfied smile.
"Yes," she admitted. "You are right... on everything."
Because this? It wouldn’t just end with Nathalie being taken down.
This entire situation involved not only the Zorken and the Shadow Order. It might seem an isolated case with a secret family getting involved in all of this. However, it still involved the entirety of the secret society as it could threaten to expose their existence.
Leaving it just like that might give everyone temporary peace. However, both Atlas and Sybil knew that peace was a temporary thing. Especially, in a place like the secret society.
Besides, Atlas couldn’t risk another one of these confrontations because of ONE reason.
This was where everyone’s memories ended. He meant their memories that were tied to Nathalie’s scheme. If another powerhouse of the secret society set their eyes on them, they might not survive it.
It was why Atlas said his decision was not a sacrifice at all.
For him, this was just fulfilling a promise to his silly little siblings. Just so they could continue playing like they used to.
"Now, I understand," Sybil’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts. His brows rose at her while she smiled at him. "I now understand why your little sister believed in you so much. You are someone I would believe in as well. She’s lucky to have you."
Atlas pressed his lips into a thin line. Looking away, he muttered, "No, I was."
"I don’t know why you would say such, but she is," she hummed. "Not just her, but your other siblings as well. They’re lucky to have such a reliable big brother who would protect them."
’If only you knew,’ was what Atlas wanted to say. ’I failed all of them once. I am simply compensating.’
Although if someone asked Hugo, Slater, and Penny, they would surely say they had the best-est big brother ever! And probably group hug him until they get kicked and shoved away by him.

[Mansion]
Minutes ago...
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The sound of multiple guns being fired at once echoed, reaching the entrance of the mansion where Zoren’s team was. Although it was faint, all of them would never mistake it.
Everyone turned to where the sound came from, only to see the edge of the mansion’s roof. Those who came with Zoren held their breaths, wide-eyed.
That didn’t sound good.
Some of them checked their watches just to see how many minutes it had been since Zoren got in. It was only a little over five minutes.
But then again, they never planned to wait for that ten-minute time limit. Their eyes sharpened as they stood still, not making even the slightest movement at the moment.
Meanwhile, those who were surrounding them also cast each other a discreet look. They nodded to each other, knowing that whatever that gunfire was would start all of this. Hence, just like the opposing group, they carefully secured their hold on their rifles as their eyes fixed on every soldier Zoren had taken with him here.
The wind blew, and somehow, the scent of sulfur clung to them.
After another breath, everyone just moved when they heard a loud honk from outside the gates. They all paused and turned to the gates, only to see the blinding headlights of a truck flashing them.
HONK!!
