Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 843 - 845: Despicable Fellow!
"Do you want to have a talk with Young Master Shannon? I think he quite likes you."
Sophie Sullivan paused her actions and looked up at Fluffy Zane, noticing her worried expression. Sophie couldn’t help but laugh.
"Where did you get the idea that he quite likes me?"
Fluffy Zane sat cross-legged on the lawn and said slowly, "It’s just a feeling. I feel that Young Master Shannon likes you."
Sophie shook her head and laughed silently, not saying anything more.
However, she was worried about another matter. Lucifer said the neurologist he found for her had already set off for Country A, but several days passed, and the doctor never contacted her.
She tried calling the number, but it was always turned off.
A bad feeling rose in Sophie’s heart. Could it be Thomas Shannon?
At noon, after Sophie had lunch, she picked up her mobile phone and walked into the courtyard alone. Gaby wanted to accompany her, but she stopped him.
Calling Thomas Shannon wasn’t as easy as she thought; she couldn’t talk to him smoothly.
The one who answered was Charlie River.
"Hello, who is this?"
Sophie glanced at the number, confirming it was indeed Thomas Shannon’s. She patiently asked, "It’s me, Sophie Sullivan. Where is Thomas Shannon? Let him answer the phone."
"Young Master is currently unavailable. Maniac, do you have any urgent matters? I can relay the message."
"Where is Thomas Shannon?"
Unavailable?
Is he in a meeting, or just doesn’t want to take her call?
"Sorry, the Young Master’s schedule cannot be disclosed."
Charlie River maintained a business-as-usual, impartial attitude. Sophie gradually nodded, "Alright, tell Thomas Shannon to call me back when he’s free."
Finishing her words, she had no intention of saying more and hung up the phone.
After pondering for a long time, she also called Lucifer. From Lucifer, she learned that the doctor had indeed departed for Country A on time.
But then he went missing.
There was only one possibility for a doctor to disappear in Country A: he had been abducted.
It was obvious who had taken him away.
Sophie tightened her grip on the phone. Besides Thomas Shannon, who else could it be?
Damn Thomas Shannon!
He abducted the doctor and wanted her to go back and beg him?
From Old Mr. Standford to the neurologist, the same trick played so many times, isn’t he tired?
Charlie River hung up the phone. He said to the man sitting in the boss chair, "Young Master, the maniac didn’t say what she wanted to find you for; she just said you should call her back when you’re free."
"Hmph," Thomas Shannon snorted coldly, continuing to smoke.
Charlie River couldn’t guess what he meant and dared not say more.
Sophie waited from noon to the afternoon and from the afternoon to the night.
The night turned into the next day, and Thomas Shannon still hadn’t returned the call.
When she proactively called, her call was mercilessly hung up.
Sophie took a deep breath and cursed, "Despicable fellow!"
Without having breakfast, Sophie took Gaby and returned to the manor.
In front of the imposing gate, she was stopped.
Sophie got out of the car and looked at the expressionless man in black, "I want to go in."
"Without the Young Master’s order, no one is allowed to step in," the man in black gestured for her to step back outside the cordon.
Sophie tugged at the corner of her mouth and smiled coldly. Such a good ’no step in allowed.’
She took a few steps back, and Derek Clark stepped forward, asking, "Miss Cecilia Branford, are you still going in?"
"Of course, I am." Sophie restrained her emotions. "The doctor is held by him, no matter what, I must get the doctor out."
"But Thomas Shannon did this clearly to humiliate you. Why not let us go and rescue the doctor?"
