Is Young Master concerned about her? Heart-trembling with excitement, Raina Bell curved her lips into a smile, "Thank you, Young Master, I will."
Thomas Shannon looked away and left without glancing at her.
As Raina Bell watched him leave, she seemed to be in a trance.
When Thomas Shannon returned to the castle, Minimus Hart had already prepared bathwater. "Young Master, the bath is ready."
"Mmm."
Thomas Shannon went upstairs, and Minimus Hart followed. Thomas Shannon turned his head and shot a cold glance at her. "What are you doing coming up here?"
Startled, Minimus Hart replied with a smile, "I’m here to serve you."
"There’s no need."
Minimus Hart bowed her head, a trace of loss flitting through her eyes. "Understood."
Returning to his bedroom, Thomas Shannon’s gaze darkened as it fell on the double bed. Unbuttoning his shirt, he sneered. Sophie Sullivan, I want to see if you’ll come back on your own.
Withdrawing his gaze, he turned and entered the bath chamber.
Sophie Sullivan and Lucifer returned to Country A together, their plane landing at Imperial City International Airport.
After leaving the airport, she couldn’t wait to return to the manor.
Lucifer reached out and took hold of her wrist, his voice somewhat disappointed. "Cecilia Branford... Does Thomas Shannon really mean that much to you?"
Sophie Sullivan raised her hand and gently touched his face. "Old Mr. Standford is in his hands. I have no choice but to go back. For my face’s sake, I must return, got it?"
"And what am I supposed to do?" He had traveled all this way to find her only to watch her go back to Thomas Shannon’s side.
Sophie Sullivan fell silent.
Nothing scared Lucifer more than her silence. At least in this moment, he was incredibly afraid. Her silence meant that she would choose Thomas Shannon.
"Lucifer, honestly, I’ve lost my memory, and I have no impression of my past. I know that for me to become the way I am today, someone must have harmed me."
Feeling suffocated, she took slow, deep breaths to ease the sharp pain in her chest. "Lucifer, give me some time. I want to recover my appearance and my memory, and get back to who I used to be. Then we can find those people and settle scores, all right?"
Lucifer pursed his lips, and his deep blue eyes, like a clear ocean, gazed at her with warmth and tenderness.
Sophie Sullivan raised her hand and gave Lucifer a hug. "Promise me, Lucifer."
"Cecilia Branford, you know I can never refuse you." With a helpless sigh, Lucifer lifted his arms to embrace her.
His chin nestled on top of her head, affectionately nuzzling her hair.
As he inhaled the fragrance of her hair, Lucifer’s restless heart calmed down.
Upon returning to the manor, the bodyguards insisted on an examination before allowing Sophie Sullivan to enter.
Sophie fumed. What the hell is Thomas Shannon playing at? He had Old Mr. Standford secretly taken away just to force me to return, didn’t he?
She had no choice but to get out of the car and submit to the bodyguards’ examination.
"Come in." One of the bodyguards gestured, and two men in black approached to guide her toward a car prepared for her earlier in the day.
Sophie Sullivan turned around. "Wait, I also have a friend."
Lucifer and his personal guards were stopped.
Unsatisfied, Lucifer got out of the car. "Why am I not allowed in?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
The man in black said expressionlessly, "The Young Master has ordered that only the maniac be allowed in. No one else may set foot in here!"
