Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 545 - 548: Young Master, something’s wrong!
Lucifer sighed softly, raised his hand, and carefully wiped away her tears. "Don’t cry, Cecilia," he said gently.
Sophie Sullivan lifted her eyelids. Her long lashes, heavy with tears, made her look even more pitiful. "What relatives do I have left?" she asked.
"Your uncle, your aunt, and your cousin sister."
Sophie Sullivan nodded absent-mindedly. Seeing her unstable emotional state, Lucifer took her ashore and led her back to her bedroom to rest.
"Cecilia, have a good sleep." Lucifer helped her lie down and stooped to plant a kiss on her forehead.
Sophie Sullivan resisted slightly. "Don’t do that..."
Lucifer straightened up, looking hurt. "Cecilia," he said, "you were never like this before."
However, considering her current mood, Lucifer didn’t want to say more. "You rest well," he said. "I’ll be right outside."
Leaving the bedroom, Lucifer sat down on the sofa in the living room.
Leo stood nearby with his head bowed. "Master, would you like to order dinner now?"
"There’s no hurry. I’ll eat with Cecilia when she wakes up."
Leo wanted to say more, but seeing Lucifer’s cold expression, he closed his mouth.
"Any news from Frank Mitchell?"
Lucifer propped his head on one hand, lost in thought.
Leo said, "Frank Mitchell has already discovered that Miss Cecilia Branford is missing and is now sending people on a massive search. But don’t worry, Master. They won’t find her."
Leo was absolutely confident about this.
Lucifer nodded in satisfaction and waved his hand, signaling Leo to leave.
He needed to be alone for a while.
"Yes, Master." Leo retreated a few steps, then turned and left the suite.
Lucifer lit a cigarette, his brow furrowed as he exhaled smoke rings. Cecilia’s rejection of his kiss just moments ago had hurt him deeply.
Cecilia wasn’t like this before...
They had been inseparable and had done everything that a boyfriend and girlfriend could do except for one thing.
Kissing, holding hands, hugging—it had all been routine for them.
Now, she was resisting even a simple kiss.
Lucifer was truly at a loss. He desperately wanted Cecilia to regain her memory.
He had to find the Cecilia he once knew.
The Cecilia he remembered, the one he knew so well.
Exhaling a smoke ring, he picked up his mobile phone and called his attendant in Country F.
"Master?"
"Find me the most authoritative neurologist, as soon as possible."
"Master, are you ill?" The attendant’s voice trembled with anxiety.
"Not me. It’s Cecilia." Lucifer’s voice grew heavy. "She’s lost her memory."
The attendant’s excited voice came through the phone. "Congratulations, Master, on finding Miss Cecilia Branford! We’ll immediately find the most authoritative neurologist for you. I’m sure Miss Cecilia Branford will recover her memory very soon!" 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
The attendant continued speaking, but Lucifer was in no mood to listen.
He hung up, idly twirling the phone in one hand, utterly bored.
Thomas Shannon... What exactly happened between him and Cecilia? And what was his real reason for bringing Cecilia to Shannons’ Manor?
Lucifer chuckled, setting down his phone. He rubbed the corner of his mouth. "Cecilia is mine," he murmured. "No one can take her from me."
Not even her fiancé could take her from him, let alone some Thomas Shannon!
「Country A.」
"Young Master, bad news!"
An anxious Charlie River, forgetting protocol, pushed open the study door.
Thomas Shannon shot him a cold glance, thereby interrupting the ongoing meeting. "The meeting is suspended for ten minutes."
