Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 463 - 465: Master, we’ve arrived.
Just as he stepped off the stairs, Charlie River opened the car door. As Thomas Shannon was about to get into the car, Harry, who appeared out of nowhere, let out a yowl and charged over.
"MEOW!"
Harry pounced precisely at Thomas Shannon’s feet, meowing insistently.
Thomas Shannon bent over and picked him up with one hand. "What, you want to go too?"
Sophie Sullivan had already gotten into the car. Her listless voice sounded, "Bring Harry along too."
Thomas Shannon chuckled softly, rubbing Harry’s little head. "Did you hear that?"
Harry MEOWED, looking at him with his round eyes, then at Sophie Sullivan.
Holding Harry, Thomas Shannon got into the car, and the fleet headed towards the airport.
Upon boarding Thomas Shannon’s private jet, Sophie Sullivan, weak with illness, walked towards a bedroom to rest. "I’ll take a nap first. Don’t disturb me."
She had just finished speaking and started to leave when her wrist was suddenly gripped tight.
She hesitated, then turned around.
Her hazy eyes inadvertently met a pair of cold eyes, like a cold pool.
"What’s wrong?" Sophie’s voice was very light as it drifted in the air.
"Maniac, I hope you can be honest with me."
The man’s cold voice, carrying a deterrent force, made Sophie’s heart sink.
Her eyes flashed, and pretending not to understand, she asked, "What do you mean?"
Thomas Shannon released her, the corner of his mouth lifting in an unreadable smile. "Think it over for yourself."
Sophie nodded vaguely and went into the bedroom to rest.
「...」
「Country F.」
The Onassis Old Castle, situated atop a high mountain, possessed an imposing air and beautiful scenery. It stood proudly at the mountain’s peak, its solemn grandeur overlooking everything below.
The solemn and grandiose Onassis Old Castle was a typical example of Baroque style, romantic yet exceptionally majestic.
The colored glass windows faced the rising sun in the east, sparkling with brilliant golden light.
The castle covered an area of about 45,000 square meters and was one of the most luxurious castles in Country F.
The entire castle could be divided into a forecourt, an upper area, and a lower area.
The forecourt consisted of a long, flower-lined path and a massive angel fountain.
The upper area primarily featured a vintage, palace-style reception hall. This banquet hall was one of the main venues where the castle owner entertained guests.
Connected to it was the collection attic. Its most noticeable landmark was a round tower encircled by a rose garden. Initially built of wood and later reconstructed with stone, it housed countless invaluable treasure antiques.
The lower area primarily contained a luxurious main residential building, divided into a South Wing and an East Wing. It featured opulent and romantic Baroque architecture with exquisitely vibrant colored glass windows, all of which undoubtedly bespoke the immense, nation-rivalling wealth of the castle’s owner.
Behind the residential building lay a family park spanning over 5,000 acres. It was filled with natural landscapes, tranquil green spaces, and forests. Small, carefully-reared animals roamed freely, adding to the park’s serene charm.
Within the park, a tree-lined avenue led south, connecting to the equestrian center where annual Upper Class horse racing events were held.
From the foot of the mountain, a wide, winding highway led directly to the castle.
At the foot of the mountain lay the restricted area of the Onassis Old Castle.
A two-meter-high, carved and gilded great iron gate blocked any prying eyes from the Onassis Old Castle.
Armed guards stood watch 24 hours a day. Anyone attempting to approach the restricted area without permission would be met with armed expulsion and legal sanctions.
The black Lincoln Fleet stopped at the foot of the mountain.
After their identities were verified, the guards immediately granted them passage.
Following the road that wound its way up the hillside, they drove directly to the Onassis Old Castle.
"Master, we have arrived," the attendant reminded softly.
