Chapter 461: Chapter 463: Didn’t you not want to see me?

He picked up his mobile phone and answered the call. "Who is it?"

"Young Master Guillen, it’s Amanda."

William Guillen’s head felt a bit fuzzy. "Who’s Amanda?"

"Young Master Guillen, have you forgotten you took me sea fishing with you before?"

William Guillen had truly forgotten. The woman’s affected voice made his head even more dizzy. "What’s the matter?"

"Young Master Guillen, I just wanted to ask... are you lacking a female companion tonight?"

"Heh, I’m not in the mood tonight." William Guillen’s words were concise, and he hung up the phone directly.

Just as he hung up, William Guillen’s peripheral vision caught Fluffy Zane standing in the doorway.

She held a tray with freshly cut fruit on it. The arrangement wasn’t very delicate; it looked like her own handiwork.

"You..." William Guillen frowned. How long has she been here? Did she hear everything?

Fluffy Zane’s expression was impassive, her voice cold. "I came to bring you some fruit."

With that, she placed the fruit plate on the tea table and turned to leave.

Now, William Guillen was sure she had heard.

He wanted to explain, his thin lips barely parting, but then he felt there was no need.

Fluffy Zane quickly went downstairs, slammed the tray onto the tea table, and sat down on the sofa in a huff.

She had taken such pains to care for him, yet he was still chatting with those flirtatious women. He can just drop dead for all I care!

"Miss, why are you down already?" the servant asked. She had been thinking Fluffy Zane would look after Young Master Guillen for a while longer; it was a surprise she’d come down in just a few minutes. Judging by her expression, did Young Master Guillen anger her again?

"If I didn’t come down, what was I supposed to do up there?"

The servant, looking disheartened, took the tray and went into the kitchen. Fluffy Zane grabbed her car keys and walked out.

The servant hurried to catch up with her. "Miss, where are you going?"

"Out to get some air."

William Guillen clutched his mobile phone, turning it over and over in his hand. Looking at the fruit plate, he had no appetite for it at all.

He thought for a moment. Since Fluffy Zane is taking care of me, I should give her an explanation, right?

Thinking this, William Guillen stood up and went downstairs.

His movements were fluid and decisive.

After going downstairs, he scanned the room but didn’t see the person he was looking for.

He called out to a servant, "Where’s Fluffy?"

"Young Master Guillen, Miss has already gone out."

Gone out?

William Guillen frowned. "When?"

"About five minutes ago... Miss said she wanted to go out and get some air."

William Guillen was thoughtful. Get some air? This is her home; where would she need to go to get air?

If my presence is making her unhappy, then I should just leave, he concluded.

William Guillen raised his hand and rubbed his temples. "Call her and tell her I’m going back."

The servant’s heart skipped a beat. "Young Master Guillen, where are you going back to?"

"Back to my home." Saying that, William Guillen turned and went upstairs. He changed out of his pajamas and into his own clothes.

He hadn’t driven here, so now he asked the Zane Family’s driver to take him away.

There was only one road out of the villa district.

The driver’s car and Fluffy Zane’s car, as she was turning back, met on the road.

Leaning back in the rear seat with his eyes closed, pretending to nap, William Guillen felt the car stop. He slowly opened his eyes. "Why did we stop?"

"Young Master Guillen, it’s Miss," the driver said.

Fluffy Zane got out of her car, pulled open his car door, and stood outside, looking at William Guillen. "You’re leaving?"

Her tone was cold, laced with a barely perceptible trace of anger.

A slight smile touched the corner of William Guillen’s mouth. "Weren’t you trying to avoid seeing me? I figured I wouldn’t cause you any more trouble."

"When did I say I didn’t want to see you?"

"Didn’t you tell the servant you were going out to get some air?"

"What does that have to do with me not wanting to see you?"
