Pampered by My Ex's Cousin-Chapter 330 - 324 Unexpected Heart Flutter (Part 3)
Ji Jingfeng leaned close to Ji Anning’s ear and coldly warned her.
Ji Anning nodded, "I understand."
Ji Jingfeng’s face darkened as his gaze flickered briefly over the buffet area, a shadow of darkness crossing the depths of his eyes, and then he pointed towards a corner on the east side of the hall, saying to Ji Anning, "You go rest over there in the lounge area, I’ll have a waiter bring some food and drinks for you. I’ll handle the socializing on my own, there’s no need to follow me. I’ll call you when we’re leaving."
Not having to follow him and put on a smile was more than Ji Anning could ask for. She nodded and ’hmmed’ in agreement before heading towards the lounge area.
"Miss, your meal."
Ji Anning found a quiet spot to sit down, and it wasn’t long before a server brought over her meal.
A glass of orange juice and a glass of watermelon juice, along with two small desserts.
Having not eaten dinner yet, and seeing the desserts, she felt hungry and started by spearing a small piece of cake with a fork and putting it in her mouth, then she picked up the orange juice and took a sip.
With her appetite opened up, she polished off both desserts.
Then she lay back lazily on the couch, playing with her phone and occasionally glancing over at the crowded areas, where among the well-dressed men, there were also many handsome and talented young men.
In her mind, the image of Ji Chicheng would invariably surface, him in a white shirt, his handsome face bearing an expression of aloof pride indifferent to everything else.
Ji Anning propped her elbow on the back of the couch, with the back of her hand supporting her cheek, as she watched Ji Chicheng walking towards her, her cheeks growing slightly warm.
"Uncle."
The man drew nearer, and she involuntarily reached out to touch him, "I really miss you." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
Really missed him so much.
"Anning, have you been drinking?"
It wasn’t his voice, Ji Anning suddenly snapped to attention, and looking at the man standing before her, she saw it was Rong Feifan; her face flushed with embarrassment.
"Mr. Rong."
She nodded politely to Rong Feifan, then turned and sat up straight.
Maybe it was because there were too many people in the hall, but she felt uncomfortable, it was too stuffy and her mouth was dry.
There was still untouched watermelon juice on the table, which she picked up and drank a large gulp of.
"See, see, your fiancé is ignoring you."
Rong Feifan walked over and sat beside Ji Anning.
Ji Anning deliberately shifted a bit to the side to create distance between them, not looking at him, "Mr. Rong should go mingle. There are many people here, and I don’t want to be the subject of gossip."
"The innocent have nothing to fear," Rong Feifan said as he moved a bit closer to Ji Anning. "Besides, I am pursuing you. I indeed want to pursue you."
Ji Anning stood up, faced Rong Feifan, and looked at him seriously, "Mr. Rong, if I were extremely ugly, would you still pursue me?"
Rong Feifan shook his head without hesitation, "No."
Ji Anning smiled, "So, Mr. Rong, you’re just driven by a strong desire to conquer, trying to possess all that is beautiful. I admit I am beautiful, but I deserve someone even better."
And that person, in her eyes, was unbeatable in excellence.
Her tone and those chilly, arrogant eyes were truly filled with self-confidence.
Rong Feifan looked up slightly at Ji Anning, seemingly finding her unfamiliar and paused, before he laughed and gave Ji Anning a thumbs-up, "I appreciate someone like you, no nonsense."
Ji Anning remained undisturbed by his evaluation and praise, nodding gracefully, "Enjoy the party, Mr. Rong. I’ll take my leave first."
Then she turned and walked towards the entrance.
