Chapter 715: Chapter 451: Nora Scott: I Really Am Amazing [Second Update]

The bet was just a small episode, and after drinking half a bottle of yogurt, Henry Chapman put the matter behind him.

Nora Scott sat idly by, thrown a script by Henry and continued to memorize lines. She didn’t have many lines, and she had long since memorized them perfectly. After muttering a few sentences, no one knew what she was saying.

Henry didn’t pay her any mind.

The scenes in the past few days, Nora had done quite well, rarely needing retakes due to her acting, so Henry had also relaxed his supervision over her.

As noon approached, Nora had a scene with Katherine Collins.

In the drama, Nora plays the role of the protagonist’s teacher and cousin, who is also the biggest villain. However, in the previous reincarnations, the protagonist didn’t realize this, still treating her as the gentle cousin.

The scene to be filmed today was the one where the protagonist discovers the cousin as the culprit. It was highly challenging. Nora needed to capture the essence of the gentle teacher turning dark, displaying her demeanor as the ultimate boss, whereas Katherine needs to portray realization, shock, and disbelief, escalating emotions layer by layer.

The setting was a bright and sunny school building, with ample light, yet the performances of the two actors needed to make the audience feel frightened and chills down their spine.

Only two scenes were scheduled for the morning, one being Katherine and Henry’s scene, the other Nora and Katherine’s showdown. The first scene was a warm-up, allowing Henry to guide Katherine, while the second scene was the main event, taking up almost the entire morning.

Nora’s performance was simply astonishing; despite being criticized for her acting, except for the first unsatisfactory attempt, after listening to guidance from Henry and Katherine, her acting soared, vividly displaying the character’s demeanor and mental journey. In contrast, Katherine, who had shown some improvement recently, was noticeably lacking.

It was clear that Katherine had prepared thoroughly beforehand, coupled with an added immersive quality to her image, but this scene truly tested acting skills. Even after director Alfred Lawrence spent half an hour explaining the scene to her in advance, her performance still fell short of perfection. Initially, her performance was decent, but when contrasted with Nora’s, it was unsatisfactory.

Due to Katherine’s repeated takes, Nora couldn’t consistently enter her state perfectly, and over time, she too was dragged down by Katherine. Finally, Alfred waved his hand, deciding to wrap up the scene for now, with Nora’s task complete, leaving her parts to be edited in post-production, while Katherine was advised to adjust and reshoot her shots in the afternoon.

"Tsk, so many takes, dragging others down every time, I wonder if it’s intentional."

Seeing Katherine walking away with a cold face, Rosie Sullivan glanced sideways and deliberately sneered.

These words were heard by several staff nearby, including Katherine.

Katherine’s face turned a few shades paler, her gaze coldly sweeping towards Rosie. Rosie curled her lips, mocking with a look full of thorns.

Beside them, Nora took the water handed over by Katherine Collins, glanced over without speaking.

The facts were laid bare, yet people weren’t allowed to say anything... it was suffocating.

Pressing her lips, Katherine didn’t bother arguing with Rosie, slightly lowering her eyelids, turned and walked away. This "weak stance" provoked quite a bit of sympathy from others’ gazes.

Someone thought Rosie was deliberately picking a fight.

"Are you Nora Scott’s assistant?"

Suddenly, a voice rang out from behind.

Rosie turned around to see a familiar-looking man. After thinking carefully, she remembered—this was Jerry Yates, who played a couple with Nora on last night’s episode of "Escape Room."

He seemed to have visited the set looking for Katherine a couple of days ago.

?

Although the variety show was edited, Rosie could tell that Jerry didn’t like Nora, so she had a poor impression of him.

Rosie frowned, puzzled, "What’s it to you?"

Deliberately casting a glance at Nora, Jerry snorted coldly, sarcastically remarking, "Birds of a feather flock together, not an ounce of generosity."

"Heh," Rosie raised her eyebrows, as if she just heard a joke, "With your magnanimity, why not manage your fans and have them criticize my cou... Nora’s acting less."

"..."

Jerry suddenly choked.

"As an actor, isn’t it right to be called out for poor acting?" Rosie sneered, "Look at our Nora, she’s been critiqued for her acting for years, has she ever argued that the criticism was unwarranted?"

Nora: "..." Tsk, turns out that too can be considered a compliment.

She really is something.

The onlookers listened dumbfoundedly, actually getting swayed by Rosie... Although Nora’s acting had been criticized, she indeed never claimed her acting was good, nor did she ever retort when netizens criticized her, but accepted it all.

After being speechless for a moment, Jerry took a deep breath, annoyedly said, "What’s the difference between you and those keyboard warriors online?"

Rosie chuckled, "How do you know I’m not one of those online warriors?"

Jerry: "..." Stonewalled.

Not being good with words, Jerry couldn’t continue squabbling with Rosie, and after giving her a cold glare, he turned to chase after Katherine.

It was only then that the surrounding discussions gradually started—

"That was Jerry Yates, wasn’t it? Why is he here? Still wearing a school uniform!"

"He’s filming next door with the other crew. It’s not his first time coming for Katherine, I heard he’s pursuing her."

"He looks so young in a school uniform, totally passes as a high school student, I didn’t even recognize him initially!"

"Being at his peak, yet chasing Katherine? Must be true love."
