Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential-Chapter 127: New Identity Enters The Nexus City, Mr. Sirius Ravenstar (1)
Chapter 127: New Identity Enters The Nexus City, Mr. Sirius Ravenstar (1)
Nine days passed by in the blink of an eye.
Nexus City, the largest city of the Gratar Continent’s people, was situated in the mixed territory—Chaosrumble Ocean, Mysrin Archipelago.
Mysrin Archipelago was in the center of the ocean, shaped like a sharp oval with a couple of thousand islands in the north and a couple of thousand in the south.
Nexus City was in the southern part of this massive archipelago, on a rather sizable island, acting as the Gratar continent’s border.
Nexus City’s counterpart was Brelial City, in the northern part of the Mysrin Archipelago.
But the most exotic of the islands—the special dimensional islands—would appear in the center area of this Mysrin Archipelago, inciting conflicts between Nexus City and Brelial City for the conquest of those islands.
In the first place, there was some power in the center of this archipelago, that somehow transformed normal islands into special dimensional islands, covering them in a spatial phenomenon and transforming them with each having a different requirement of entry.
Some islands could only be accessed by Silver-rank, some by the Gold-rank Tamers, and so on.
No special dimensional island ever had an entry for two different ranks.
Those unique and exotic islands had equally unique Monsters and abundant resources. They also usually give birth to various treasures due to the powerful spirit phenomena inside them.
Most importantly, the special dimensional islands were never permanent.
Some remained special for a month before returning to normal, while some remained special for multiple months.
There were still some special dimensional islands that were active for years, and those were the real boons.
There were four such special dimensional islands for Nexus City’s forces, and they were shared among the top forces.
They were mostly used as rewards for winners in various competitions.
If things didn’t go awry because of Jason and Tavros, John would be on a special dimensional island for Silver-rank Tamers right now, as one of the five entrants from Ouroboros Hall.
But that didn’t mean John gave up trying to enter a special dimensional island.
If not the Silver-rank special dimensional island, then the Gold-rank special dimensional island.
The competition for that gold-rank special dimensional island was going to occur in the Nexus city on the 60th day of Thalren month, the last day of the month, which was just thirty-one days away.
John was raring to enter there and had to get ready for it when the time came.
But for him to enter there, he must become a big shot, or more accurately, he must become the apprentice of a big shot who can convince other forces to get his apprentice an entry quota.
That big shot’s name—Mr. Sirius Ravenstar.
What was the best way to introduce Mr. Sirius Ravenstar, a powerful Sovereign-rank powerhouse clouded in mystery?
John asked that question himself and found an answer after discussing something regarding Nexus City.
He had been preparing for this and today was the day Mr. Sirius Ravenstar came into the eyes of big forces of the Nexus city.
Naturally, the preparation had cost him quite a lump sum. He had upgraded Xhalthuun’s Shop since he got 1,000,000 Xhal Drops seven days ago, spending 500,000 for the upgrade.
Leveling up the shop to level 4 didn’t increase the number of items like the previous level-up. This time, a new section opened in the shop.
Gacha Section.
In this section, he could spend a minimum of 500,000 Xhal Drops to get 5 random items, and there was no maximum spend limit, but an increment for quality for 500,000.
500,000 for 5 items would give him things worth 500,000 or more guaranteed.
1,000,000 for 5 items would also produce items worth 1,000,000 or more guaranteed.
And so on.
He might not get anything at all in one of the five draws, but that just meant that another item in the pool was worth more to make it up.
Naturally, John didn’t use this function. He couldn’t afford to spend Xhal Drops on random items.
Yesterday night, he got another 1,000,000 Xhal Drops for the second week since Xhalthuun devoured that arm.
But despite having 1.5 million Xhal Drops, John still had to spend 1.1 million Xhal Drops more by sacrificing some resources to buy everything he needed for Mr. Sirius Ravenstar’s introduction.
Aside from the bunch of items he bought, the preparation included the following as well:
Five peak Emperor-rank Monsters, having the potential of Legendary-rank. The last two days, John went out with Azelis to hunt Emperor-rank Monsters and make them reach the peak of their newfound potential.
All monsters that previously belonged to Tavros had mutated, having new appearances and more power.
Luxveil Mirage Stag —> Solstice Phantorion Antler.
Nexlock Glacient Lion —> Vortexmane Frostmaw Savager.
Duskspire Ashveil Jaguar —> Dusktalon Netherworn Feline.
Gravemarch Ironcap Juggerbeast —> Morvagant Mechbreak Ironbeast.
Whispthorn Windveil Crow —> Skelven Bristleborn Stormcorvus.
These five were top-tier Emperor-rank Monsters and were at the peak since they were already near the peak when Tavros had them.
But these were only five. There were two more.
One that was birthed and nurtured to peak Emperor-rank— Skyfold Litchwing Squallion.
It was a unique monster that had beautiful magic-wooden thornlike horns akin to a stag and a body of four hoofy legs as well as four wings.
Squallion had a higher potential than the other five, its skills more potent.
And the last one, the Monster that John decided to rank up to Sovereign-rank.
Mawcaster Lavahart Serpent first mutated into Doomcaster Melfermaw Wyrm, and then John finally got the option he wanted in its evolution pathways.

...
The Raaz Te’el Mask completely altered his appearance into that of a handsome dashing blond-haired man in his late twenties, wearing a dark blue gaberdine with royal gold minimal embroidery and design, over a black shirt and trousers.
With a piped cigar in his hand, he walked into the Grand Nexus Auction house where the auctions were regularly held every month.
Azelis knew about the auction’s date, so John had more time to prepare and he was finally here.
Sitting on the front-row seat that he had bought, John sat down on the couch and comfortably leaned back.
The auction house had 500 regular seats and 50 VIP booths high up.
The auction platform was on the lowest ground while the seat couches ascended in a pyramid formation facing the platform. The VIP booths were at the highest, forming a crescent.
While the auction hall was filling up, the VIPs had already arrived and taken their seats in the private booths.
John was looking at the VIPs with a skill using Soul Synergy.
Omenveil Eye—belonging to Alfred, who was now Omenlord Ruinwoed Cerebrus.
This skill had multiple types of usage, but John was using it purely to secretly observe for now.
’So that bastard is also here?’ John’s eyes glinted as he spotted the clown of his life.
Rakin Lockham.
’In that case, the man beside him must be his father. An Emperor-rank tamer.’
[ Azelis: That asshole needs to die. It’s because of him that Jason and Tavros did what they did. ]
[ Jibril: Rakin...I always felt he had an ugly soul, and he was exposed. ]
[ Azelis: The whole Lokham family is garbage. ]
Azelis and Jibril were inside Monster Paradise, watching everything through a screen that shared whatever John saw and heard.
[ Azelis: It looks like all of them are here. The three major families, three factions, and five sects. These eleven forces basically control Nexus City, though Ouroboros Hall would start getting suppressed a bit due to the recent incident. ]
’We will approach one of them later in our own way. The one that doesn’t like the Lockham family, just like us.’ John’s eyes coldly glinted.
After all, the enemy of his enemy was his friend.
Mr. Sirius was going to give cold shoulders to the Lockham family, but make some very profitable and beneficial dealings with the Duraian family.
Of course, he wasn’t going to go to them and the introduction of Mr. Sirius had to be perfectly according to how he had planned for this big plan’s success.
’Let’s make this a success.’
[ Jibril: You are invincible already, John. As senior Azelis said, aside from you, only the eleven others have Sovereign-rank armors, and they are the leaders of those eleven forces—the Sovereign-rank Tamers, and there’s no Sovereign-rank Tamer here in this auction. ]
[ Azelis: Indeed. And even if a Sovereign-rank Tamer is present, you would be able to succeed given the element of surprise. ]
’That’s true.’
’Alright, the auction is starting. Let’s see what they have.’
The auction started as a beautiful red-haired woman wearing a V-neck dress arrived on the stage.
"Welcome, everyone. I hope everyone has filled up wallets, with Essence Coins and other important stuff because as usual, we will have a couple of very valuable items."
"Without further ado, let’s commence the auction with the first item."
From behind the curtains, a man walked out with a rolling table that had a glass container above it.
Inside were five vials with glistering blue-green-white sparked liquid.
"The first item is three vials of Genetic Potential Fluid. There is only one person who can make this, as many of you know, and he has decided to sell three he recently made here. Letting your monster drink this would speed up the acquisition of Genetic Potential Fluid."
"Now, the potency of this batch of three vials is not the same as usual. This batch is the rare Emperor-rank. The success rate of making Emperor-rank fluid is low, so we don’t see it often. However, here we have three vials."
The woman smiled. "The starting price is 10,000 Emperor Essence Coins for the three vials. Please make your bids now."
"Fifty thousand Emperor Essence Coins." A deep, slightly raspy voice rang in the auction.
"VIP booth number 16 made a bit of 50,000 Emperor Essence Coins right off the bat!"
John yawned. ’When will they present the Sovereign-rank stuff?’
[ Azelis: It’s usually after the first three to five items. ]
