Chapter 500: Chapter 476: Scheming Boy

Sienna Thornton was holding a "The Imperial Hotel" shopping card and asked, "Does your family also use these cards as wedding pastries?"

"Yeah." Simon Forrester said, "Mostly cards, but for some elderly people who have difficulty moving around, Grandpa has ordered gift boxes to send instead."

"What kind of gift boxes? Candy and biscuits?"

Simon Forrester finished writing a letter, then picked up an empty wedding invitation envelope, and the pen tip flew across the red paper: "It seems to be those four or five-layer gift boxes, with candies and pastries inside, and nourishing products like bird’s nest and sea cucumber."

After finishing, he added, "I remember we also sent 88 of these gift boxes over to your place on the day of the betrothal. Go get one and open it up, just so I can see it too, because I haven’t yet."

Sienna Thornton thought for a moment but couldn’t recall seeing them at home, thinking Quentin Thorne and Old Mrs. Thorne must have taken them to give to relatives and friends.

Seeing her silent, Simon Forrester glanced at a corner of the dining room piled with wedding gifts but saw no sign of the gift boxes, thus guessing, and asked, "How many are you short of? I’ll have someone from the old house send some over later."

"I’d like to send these gift boxes to classmates and teachers from Z City. They hardly ever come to Brimfield, and they can’t use shopping cards either."

Simon Forrester nodded, "Makes sense, how many do you need?"

Sienna Thornton took the guest list, counted, and said, "Thirty."

"Alright." Simon Forrester was already on the phone with the old house, instructing the butler to arrange for fifty more gift boxes to be sent over.

Upon hearing this, Sienna Thornton quickly patted his arm and gestured for thirty with her hand.

Simon Forrester laughed, hung up the phone, then said, "Let’s keep three for Auntie King to take back home for her family to enjoy. Also, it’s probably better to send these gift boxes to your unit’s leaders, as the shopping card might seem a bit sensitive."

Sienna Thornton’s heart warmed, and she rubbed her cheek against his shoulder, softly saying, "You’re so thoughtful! Thank you!"

Simon Forrester laughed, patted her head gently, and continued writing invitations.

After writing for a while, he suddenly remembered something and said, "Oh, by the way, the wedding favors for this time are perfume sets. I heard Thornton mention last time that you’ll be having 250 guests in total, so my mom prepared 250 extra wedding favors, which will be sent over on the day of the return banquet."

"What are wedding favors?" Most of Sienna Thornton’s classmates and friends were unmarried and had never participated in a wedding or received wedding favors, so understanding Simon Forrester’s mention piqued her curiosity.

"Wedding favors are similar to souvenirs given to guests attending the wedding." Simon Forrester said, taking out his phone, opening the chat with Sylvia Langley on WeChat, and showing a few photos to Sienna Thornton.

In the photos was a white hardcover with a flip-top design, with the cover printed with artistic English font. Upon opening, the interior displayed a hazy and beautiful wedding photo of Sienna Thornton and Simon Forrester, and inside the box were two heart-shaped spray bottles of perfume.

Seeing this, Sienna Thornton also found it quite novel, and laughed, "I didn’t know you had to give such things to wedding guests. If you hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have known, and Thornton didn’t mention it either."

Simon Forrester closed the phone and laughed, "It’s not very popular domestically; it’s normal that Thornton wouldn’t know. My mom saw it at someone else’s wedding and prepared some for us too."

Sienna Thornton chuckled and hugged Simon Forrester’s arm, saying, "Thank Auntie for me."

Simon Forrester laughed and continued writing.

The two shared the workload, chatting casually.

Simon Forrester asked, "Have you confirmed your bridesmaids?"

"Aurora, Rochelle, and Wendy are all set. Maeve has a performance out of town on those days, signed the contract over half a year ago, so she can’t be my bridesmaid."

Simon Forrester felt relieved, asking, "But she’ll make it to the wedding, right?"

Sienna Thornton nodded, "She can make it for the return banquet."

Simon Forrester didn’t say anything further.

The atmosphere quieted for a moment, and Sienna Thornton asked, "So I’m short one bridesmaid; do you still have four groomsmen?"

"Since you’re short one, I’ll cut one groomsman as well, so it matches."

Sienna Thornton was curious, "Who will be your groomsmen?"

"Gage Grant, Logan Lockwood, Harrison Rowe," Simon Forrester said. "Harrison has often helped me with personal matters and is familiar with the Forrester family’s affairs, so I’ll leave Gavin Gale out and keep Harrison."

Sienna Thornton suddenly thought of Ronan Grant, who Simon Forrester often used as a stooge, and asked, "What about Ronan? Doesn’t he follow you everywhere?"

Simon Forrester showed slight disdain, "That guy’s unreliable at matters and can’t keep his mouth shut, might ruin our wedding."

Recalling how when she and Simon Forrester were secretly dating, Ronan almost exposed their relationship to the Forrester family and even made up a name for her, "Marilyn Thornton," in a pinch, Sienna Thornton wanted to laugh.

Simon Forrester, perhaps also remembering Ronan’s antics, laughed, teasing, "Plus, Ronan is too handsome, both handsome and young. If he’s my groomsman, he’ll steal the spotlight from me."

Sienna Thornton laughed until her stomach hurt, placing her hand on his shoulder, jokingly saying, "Calling you a scheming boy wasn’t a false accusation!"

Simon Forrester laughed and countered, "Who doesn’t have a little cunning?"

After they laughed for a bit, Simon Forrester asked about the bridesmaids’ attire, and Sienna Thornton said, "Aurora and the others said they’d handle it themselves, maybe all three will find a tailor to custom-make them together."

Simon Forrester nodded, "Anyway, the groomsmen will definitely be in black suits; the bridesmaids just need to match."

.

The two spent the whole morning preparing invitations and wedding cakes, planning to start delivering them to guests that afternoon.

Quentin handled the Thorne family’s relatives, friends, and distant relatives, so Sienna Thornton only needed to manage her guests.

Although she didn’t often keep in touch with classmates or friends, Sienna had always been well-liked. Now that she’s getting married, she counted the list and found there were quite a few.

She and Simon Forrester would deliver in Brimfield city that afternoon and would return to Z City the next day or so to deliver invitations and gift boxes to high school classmates and teachers.

She couldn’t personally go to Azure Harbor, so she could only send electronic invitations first; when her classmates came to the wedding, she’d make up for it with invitations and wedding candy.

Thankfully, Simon Forrester was with her these days; otherwise, running around like this alone might take a toll on her body.

The two spent an afternoon and evening delivering invitations to Sienna’s classmates, colleagues, and friends in Brimfield. They planned to deliver the leaders’ invitations and gift boxes after returning from Z City, as the fifty gift boxes from the Forrester family hadn’t been sent over yet.

However, upon returning in the evening, Sienna learned from Melinda Linton that the Forrester family had sent another fifty gift boxes in the afternoon. Since there was no space at home, the butler took them to The Fenmore Villa. Melinda also mentioned that some of the 88 gift boxes sent by the Forrester family on the day of the betrothal had been taken by Quentin, with dozens more temporarily stored in Auntie King’s room due to lack of space.

Upon hearing this, Sienna Thornton went to Auntie King’s room and took out a gift box to open, discovering that the gift box was far more upscale than Simon Forrester had described.
