Night had fallen, and when Sophia got off work from the student council and returned to the Tower of Shine, she just happened to see the Fairy King retracting its Dragon’s Wings and landing on the balcony.

The Home Martial Soul waved at her as a greeting and then turned into a streak of light rushing into the room, eventually vanishing into the chest of the homebody witch.

Dressed in a cute pink fluffy bunny apron, with her sleek and shiny long black hair casually tied in a bundle hanging in front of her chest, Dorothy was preparing dinner in the kitchen. She looked up and saw the Pure White Witch entering from the balcony.

"Welcome home, dinner’s almost ready."

She greeted her cheerily.

"Mhm."

The Angel Witch nodded slightly. Her tall and upright nose sniffed gently, and the enticing aroma filling the entire room made her involuntarily swallow a mouthful of saliva, feeling a bit hungry.

Soon, Dorothy had the Mage’s tentacles serve the dishes, and tonight’s dinner was a lobster feast.

A big pot of mixed seafood stew and a full table of various lobster dishes...

The lobsters here were not your ordinary lobsters, but true Dragon Blood Shrimp, a powerful sub-species with Sea Dragon Blood, very strong in combat. In addition to its hard shell, sharp pincers, and the annoying bounding and slam, which were common techniques, it was particularly good at launching sneak attacks with high-pressure water jets. An average adventurer who wasn’t careful might perish at the claws of the shrimp.

Although a bit dangerous, the flesh of these shrimps was truly delicious, and because of the Dragon Blood Shrimp’s enormous size, hunting just one often meant several days of indulgence.

Having had a tiring day building houses, Dorothy couldn’t be bothered to make complicated dishes, so she merely prepared some homestyle dishes such as iced lobster sashimi, garlic steamed shrimp, spicy fried shrimp, shrimp tempura, shrimp dumplings, and so forth; about a dozen dishes in total. This was a fitting end for that terror of the Borderland adventurers, famed as the Shrimp Salary King.

The two of them sat by the dining table, relishing the feast – the shrimp meat was smooth, tender, and full of flavor, making Sophia almost unable to stop eating.

However, thinking about her recent weight gain, a tuft of hair on top of the Pure White Witch’s head twitched, her movements froze for a moment, and she became slightly conflicted.

Well, she decided to eat more slowly and give her stomach time to digest.

Sophia recalled the matter of the extra Divinity department people from earlier in the day. She was just about to ask, but the young lady sitting opposite her spoke up first.

"Sophia, you need to be careful these days, you might have gotten into trouble," the young lady warned.

Pure White Witch: "???"

Sophia was entirely confused, looking at the young lady with puzzlement, unsure of what performance she was putting on now.

"Today, people from the Holy Words Department went to investigate the club’s premises, and the one leading them was your cousin."

While savoring a delicious sip of the seafood stew and then eating a slice of the exquisitely cut, thin-as-cicada-wing shrimp sashimi, Dorothy relayed the recent incident with the trio from the Holy Words Department, especially the harsh words from the Little Angel.

"Your little cousin is no simpleton; her acting is so skilled that I almost got fooled. Truly frightening," Dorothy remarked.

The thought of that Little Angel pretending to be a pig to eat a tiger in front of her was something Dorothy couldn’t comprehend.

She was certain she had cleaned up all the traces of the previous attacks. She wondered how Phoenix found the clues and was able to accurately pinpoint Sophia.

After all, even she didn’t know who the culprit was when she first followed Alice to the attack site. It was only after Hat Senior Sister let something slip that she learned it was the deed of her own roommate.

Overall, it was quite magical. Continue reading at novelbuddy

Thinking it over, Dorothy felt the problem probably hadn’t arisen on her side that day, and it was likely Sophia had been on the Holy Words Department’s radar for quite some time.

In response, the Pure White Witch’s expression first showed a slight frown, but it quickly smoothed out as she looked somewhat speechlessly at the young lady whose demeanor read "truly frightening."

"I think you’re overestimating my foolish cousin’s abilities. She probably just hates me to the extreme and tries to pin everything on me whenever there’s an issue," Sophia countered.

Knowing her sister better than anyone, Sophia thought about her sibling, who had never been too bright since childhood, always challenging her ambitiously but then crying and running off after losing. Sophia commented with some resignation.

With that girl’s smarts, she wouldn’t be able to find anything. Sophia guessed that this recent Investigation Order was probably obtained after her cousin pestered their aunt persistently.

Dorothy: "..."

Ah, could that be a possibility?

The Homebody Witch’s face was a picture of shock, but after thinking about it carefully, it seemed to make some sense.

Darn it, she’d never thought someone could be so unreasonable, and yet this time, her blind guess had unexpectedly hit the mark.

Now realizing she had been outwitting thin air all this while, Dorothy felt a cold shiver of anger.

Darn it, that Little Angel dared to embarrass her. Decided. Tonight, she would lead a team to investigate the Angel Witch.

"But yeah, I do need to keep a lower profile. I’ll tell Ruthfiel to lay low for a while. Thanks for the heads-up," Sophia thank the young lady.

Although it’s most likely a needless warning, Sophia still planned to tell her Fallen Angel incarnation to behave for a while. After all, sure as eggs is eggs, better safe than sorry, she couldn’t afford the risk of exposure. So, it was best to be cautious.
