Chapter 566: Chapter 546: Blood Well

A coffin?!

Su Ran suddenly felt as if he was standing on the edge of being exposed.

"Indeed, I have thrown a coffin, and not just one."

Su Ran confidently admitted that sometimes trying to hide things could lead to suspicion. By admitting it, he avoided this potential issue.

"Senior...do you realize that I was almost crushed to death by those coffins of yours!"

A speechless Qiu Tu uttered these words in disbelief. This player who stealthily entered the game turned out to be Skeleton Senior!

No wonder they couldn’t find this player no matter how hard they searched! Now it made sense!

Qiu Tu and his companions could hardly believe this. The fact that the Skeleton was actually a player completely shattered their understanding of the game!

"Oh, that happened? I was in a hurry to break the seal but the suction was too strong, forcing me to give up in despair. I threw those coffins to deal with the suction, I didn’t see you youngsters below?"

Su Ran blabbered nonsense with an innocent look on his face.

"..."

Qiu Tu gave up trying to refute and let the matter drop.

"Well done, you’ve passed the first test. Now, let’s start the second round, try and find the exit! I want to break free from this damn shackle and see daylight once more!"

Su Ran was anxious to change the topic and quickly shifted it to what he was more concerned about - finding the exit. The terrifying suction at the entrance meant they couldn’t get out and required a careful plan to overcome.

"Another test? Are you kidding me...this place is so huge, when will we ever find it?"

A mage player next to Qiu Tu couldn’t help but to complain loudly, clearly dissatisfied.

"Don’t lose hope, hardship breeds success. Go on, youngsters!"

Su Ran waved his hand, signaling them to go ahead and start the task.

"Senior, please rest. We’ll now go complete the task you assigned. Let’s move!"

With a salute, Qiu Tu led his three teammates quickly away from this place.

"This youngster seems to have caught on to the situation!"

Su Ran gave a chortle, with a hint of mockery apparent in his eyes. Then, he stopped paying attention to the players, sweeping his gaze around the area, looking for anything suspicious.

"Huh?"

His eyes landed on the hole from which the Nightmare Flower boss emerged, and Su Ran startled, drawing a gasp. Could it be...

that there wasn’t an exit here, but instead another hidden layer?

Buoyed by a strong feeling, Su Ran tentatively approached the dark hole. Under the cover of darkness, and with the players not noticing him, he dove into the hole without hesitation.

"Boss Qiu, how much longer are we going to search? When will it end?"

One player was getting impatient with this tedious task, and called out to Qiu Tu, hoping he’d come up with a solution.

"Patience is a virtue! Want to complete the hidden mission, you must put in the effort! Search meticulously and don’t slack. Got it?"

At this point, Qiu Tu was also feeling on edge but he scolded his teammates firmly. He was determined to find this exit, even if it took a week!

Seeing Qiu Tu’s determination, the other three players sighed reluctantly and continued to explore the wall in front of them. However, what they didn’t notice was that the floating human ancestor had vanished.

"..."

..."Bam!"

Su Ran could no longer hear the conversation of the other players. At this moment, he had fallen heavily on the ground, and was a pitiful sight. Struggling against the pain in his bones, he quickly stood up and consumed a few Tombgrass to recover.

"What’s this..."

Once he had settled, Su Ran found himself in front of a dazzling red light, just like a blood-red barrier. He couldn’t see through it, which made him hesitate to approach.

After recomposing himself, Su Ran summoned his pet, the Dark Bone Bear, which was designed for pathfinding. Transferring his vision to the bear, he commanded it to move forward.

"Pop!"

With a soft sound, the Bone Bear broke through the red light barrier, revealing the other things inside.

In the center was a well about two meters in diameter, constantly emitting red mist that slowly rose and enveloped the space. Upon seeing this, Su Ran understood that the red barrier was caused by this well.

Dozens of small, blood-red ghosts were gathered next to the well. They were less than a meter tall with long, sharp nails and were scrawny. They roamed around the well, and if not for their skin, you would mistake them for small skeletons.

"Something’s off about that well!"

Su Ran looked towards the entrance and noticed the players hadn’t followed him. Feeling relieved, he commanded the Bone Bear to distract all the little ghosts, while he moved towards the well.

Taking advantage of this situation, Su Ran rushed into the barrier. After just a few strides, he stood in front of the well. Carefully avoiding the blood-red mist, he peered into the well.

It was filled with a pool of blood, smooth and still as a mirror, reflecting the horrific skull of Su Ran.

"It really is a blood well!"

Su Ran had an expression of profound realization as he looked curiously at the well. Recalling the Ice Bead he had discovered at the bottom of the frozen lake, he wondered what treasures might be hidden below this well. Could there be another ancient treasure?

Su Ran couldn’t help but daydream.

"Let’s go down and see!"

Looking at the spooky well, Su Ran was increasingly convinced of his suspicion. He made a quick decision to jump in and go treasure hunting.

While the little ghosts were still away, he plunged into the well.

And his Bone Bear, once its task was completed, he abandoned it to its fate. Drawing the attention of the ghosts was its only task. Its survival had been left up to fate...

"Glub, glub..."

The calm surface of the Blood Well was disturbed by Su Ran’s reckless intrusion, causing waves of blood to splash out. The blood seeped into the ground, leaving no trace behind.

After diving into the well, he was astonished to find that the blood was not as sticky as he imagined, and there was no smell of blood, which was a huge relief. Then, he brought out his large and lethal weapon, the Blood Crystal Bone Scythe, and held it in his hand as he continued to dive deeper.

He had no choice, the Ice Bead embedded on the scythe provided the ability to breathe underwater! At least, he wouldn’t have to worry about losing health due to lack of oxygen!
