Chapter 544: Chapter 525: Total Kill

"Not good, it’s an ambush!"

Su Ran didn’t expect so many Ghost Spirits hidden above him, he was caught off guard.

However, facing countless magical attacks, Su Ran did not panic. He shifted left and right, dodging most of the Soul Bullets. As for the few that targeted him, he leapt backward and hovered in mid-air, successfully evading all of them.

In a rain of bullets, Su Ran managed to survive.

"Got any more monstrous creatures? Show yourselves to me!"

Su Ran shouted and decisively activated Death Gaze, a special skill carried on his Death Sedge Cloak.

"Whoosh!"

A ripple spread out, causing space within a 5X5 radius to fold. The invisible entities were forced into visibility. A quick count revealed roughly a hundred Ghost Spirits.

"No boss, nothing to fear, let’s get started!"

In one hand, Su Ran held the Illusion Demon Stone Sword. In the other, he gripped the Heavenly Thunder Bead. His opening move was a minor Thunder Tribulation, an area of effect lightning attack. It enveloped the cluster of Ghost Spirits and following the crackling sounds, they all suffered more than 200 points of damage.

"Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!"

All the Ghost Spirits began shrieking, filling the entire area with an overwhelming noise.

Splash! Splash!

A horde of Ghost Spirits surged towards Su Ran. Their focus on Su Ran made them completely ignore Wang Cai. The irritated pet bit here and there, causing negligible damage and failing to divert any hostility away from Su Ran, causing Wang Cai to howl in frustration.

"Wang Cai, come here!"

At Su Ran’s command, Wang Cai rushed toward him like it was a royal decree. Its speed far exceeded that of the Ghost Spirits, and it quickly surpassed them to reach Su Ran’s side.

"Mount up!"

"Woof woof!"

Wang Cai excitedly barked, its body ballooning. It went from a small clumsy pup to a majestic giant dog, indicating Su Ran to mount.

"Go!"

With Wang Cai as his steed, Su Ran felt his speed increase significantly. He held onto Wang Cai’s fur while constantly hurling fireballs behind him.

Due to the numerous Ghost Spirits behind him, he didn’t even have to aim to hit them. Unseen, this further increased Su Ran’s attack frequency. In not too long of a time, there were already numerous casualties among the Ghost Spirits.

"Chirp! Chirp!"

The Ghost Spirits, of rudimentary intelligence, couldn’t adapt to the situation. They shrieked angrily but were powerless against Su Ran, completely unable to keep pace with Wang Cai. They could only keep trailing from behind, being rained with fireballs.

And so, Su Ran began to kite these creatures. In no time, another five or six Ghost Spirits were blown apart. But the good times did not last, as Wang Cai had reached the end of this area, cutting them off. With the Ghost Spirits gradually closing in, Su Ran quickly summoned his clone, the Dark Bone Bear.

"Hiss Hiss Hiss!"

Once in the range of the Ghost Spirits, Soul Bullets rained down. The sight was stunning.

"Roar!"

The freshly summoned Dark Bone Bear leapt into the air, shielding Su Ran with its massive body. With a roar it launched the Bear Roar Wave at the cluster of Ghost Spirits above. It boldly drew in every magic bullet.

"Boom!"

A slew of Soul Bullets exploded, blowing ethereal daisy-like blossoms over the Bone Bear. The damage caused the bear’s health to plummet, and it ended up as a pile of dry bones scattered on the ground.

However, the Dark Bone Bear’s sacrifice gave Su Ran enough time to break through the encircling Ghost Spirits.

Simultaneously, the wave of blood ripples activated by the Dark Bone Bear collided with the group of Ghost Spirits resulting in massive damage. Several of them lost consciousness and plummeted to the ground.

Without a doubt, the poor Ghost Spirits had been stunned. The Dark Bone Bear had made a significant contribution in its final moments of life.

"Bang! Bang!"

Su Ran hurled fireballs in succession, resembling a continuous stream, bombarding the Ghost Spirits. Each fireball bloomed in mid-air, causing consecutive damage. Under the pull of the aggro, Su Ran started kiting again.

As time passed, the group of Ghost Spirits dwindled down to a few dozen. Only at this point did Su Ran’s dominance start showing.

"Had enough fun flying? All of you, come down!"

Su Ran took out the Air-restriction Stone again. The air restriction skill dispersed, and the Ghost Spirits plunged towards the ground like dumplings dropped into boiling water.

"Netherworld Purple Fire, go!"

Su Ran’s area of effect ground attack finally exerted its power. A pillar of fire rose, enveloping a dozen or so Ghost Spirits. The Netherworld Purple Fire started its uncontrolled devastation, quickly annihilating them.

As for the remaining Ghost Spirits, they couldn’t keep up with Wang Cai’s pace and were picked off by Su Ran one by one. In no time, he managed to completely wipe them all out with minimal energy.

For a moment, an abundance of death energy surged up, furiously infused into Su Ran’s pet space. The little zombie absorbed it all eagerly.

Well, looks like the little zombie’s release just got postponed...

"Haha! That speed was great. But considering the hopelessness of those Ghost Spirits, was I too cruel?"

Su Ran was laughing triumphantly. In a battle of one against a hundred, he was able to easily triumph over his enemies. Anyone would feel exhilarated.

"Not bad, having a mount is very convenient and saves a lot of effort."

As he stroked Wang Cai’s thick fur, Su Ran felt content. His trusty pet, sharing in his satisfaction, barked excitedly and quite often, appearing quite charming.

Suddenly,

A gloomy and lightless teleportation array refreshed into existence. It rather abruptly came into existence at the center of the area.

"Finally, all cleared!"

Su Ran knew that the appearance of the teleportation array meant that the end of the mission was near. He rode Wang Cai up to the teleportation array and touched it.

"Ding! To repair the teleportation array, you need 1 piece of gold ore, 10 pieces of silver ore, and 20 pieces of copper ore. Do you want to repair the teleportation array?"

The system sound came quite late but showed Su Ran the way to proceed.

It needs ore?!

Upon hearing this, Su Ran was startled. He knew that this was definitely the system’s final test, and a total rip-off! Who the hell goes around carrying ores? Any other person would have fallen for this, he thought to himself.
