Chapter 456: Chapter 448: A Card Has Been Released

The Blackstone Mage, besieged by five summoned skeletons, didn’t panic. Its body emitted a dark and shiny aura and conjured several chunks of magnetic rock which floated around it. Under the Mage’s magic manipulation, these chunks formed a massive stone shield. Like a meteor, this slammed onto the ground at the Mage’s feet and caused a violent tremor to ripple through Blackstone Mountain. The sheer force of the shield’s impact gave the impression that the entire mountain was about to collapse. The power behind the shield was undoubtedly ferocious!

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The Blackstone Mage, holding the giant shield, swung it around with full force, swatting away the small skeletons like flies.

Looking on, Su Ran was surprised and felt pity for this silver Boss. A giant creature like this chose a mage as a profession? What a blunder, mate!

However, Su Rin was satisfied with the performance of the five little skeletons. They’d forced the Blackstone Mage to unleash his stone shield skill, an unexpected victory in itself.

With defense as formidable as a tank, the Blackstone Mage was a force to be reckoned with. But Su Ran neither heeded this nor slowed down his attacks. Repeatedly tossing his fire paper talismans, they ignited mid-air into fireballs and targeted the hulking Blackstone Monster Boss viciously.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Well, the damage had definitely gone down.

Still, at least it could break through the Mage’s defense. Su Ran was mentally prepared for this situation. The moment that stone shield disappeared, the Boss was as good as kneeling, ready to drop its loots!

Tackling a low-agility Boss like this was something Su Ran relished. After all, a Boss with such poor evasive abilities meant that his spells had a higher chance of hitting their mark!

But the Blackstone Mage was even stupider. Banking on its significantly increased defense, it didn’t even bother to dodge Su Ran’s fireballs. Instead, it continuously summoned magnetic rocks and sent them hurtling towards Su Ran who was floating in the air.

"That’s pointless!"

With a scoff, Su Ran found the stone creature’s attacks too predictable. Its trajectory was so obvious that Su Ran would feel embarrassed if he couldn’t dodge it.

As Su Ran evaded the incoming projectiles, the small skeletons, with little health remaining, stubbornly climbed to the top of the stone mountain and fearlessly charged the burly Blackstone Mage.

The Mage didn’t view these low-level Undead skeletons as a threat. It was too busy facing off against Su Ran, and was too consumed with hate to pay attention to anything else. Using its favorite trick, the Mage swept its stone shield in a circle, hoping to knock these annoying "flies" away as it had before.

However, before it could unleash its shield’s power, it vanished into thin air like a phantom. The duration of the shield skill was over.

The five undamaged skeletons didn’t care whose enemy they were fighting and immediately began their attack.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

After a round of attacks, the five skeletons took a total of 5 points off the Silver Boss. It seemed that they had barely scratched it...

"¥% ¥%&&"

The Blackstone Mage shouted angrily. It raised its head dramatically as if sacrificing something. Muttering a string of gibberish, its magic elements surged, gathering above it.

At that moment, the magnetic rocks on Blackstone Mountain seemed to respond to a call and flew to the Blackstone Mage’s overhead. There were hundreds of them, densely floating in the air, which was quite an eye-catching sight. Meanwhile, the Blackstone Mountain, having lost so many rocks, shrunk by half.

"Drink!"

After the magic was fully unleashed, the Blackstone Mage made the huge pile of rocks smash down violently.

"Emmission of Scattered Stones skill, finally used!"

Su Ran’s heart raced. He knew this was the only skill he couldn’t avoid. There were too many stones; it was impossible to dodge them all!

But as Su Ran was preparing to use his Illusion Demon Stone Shield to take the hit, he was surprised to find that the rocks were falling on the top of Blackstone Mountain!

So that’s how it was. The Emmission of Scattered Stones was aimed at his summoned skeletons!

Haha, little skeletons, you’ve accomplished something again. It wasn’t in vain that I leveled up Summon Undead to 3 levels!

Naturally, the little skeletons with their depleted health couldn’t withstand such a widespread magic attack. The falling rocks smashed them into pieces.

Su Ran didn’t miss such a golden opportunity. He tossed out his fire paper talismans, which transformed into explosive fireballs and barreled towards the clumsy Blackstone Mage.

Because of its size and slow movements, and the limited space atop the Blackstone Mountain, all of Su Ran’s talismans hit their mark on the Blackstone Monster Boss.

In this way, under Su Ran’s incessant attacks, even if the Blackstone Mage was able to restore 5% Qi Blood, it was useless. In the end, it was knocked down by Su Ran. The Blackstone Mage fell on its knees, roaring in defiant rage.

"Bang!"

Without the magic of the Blackstone Mage holding it together, the Blackstone Mountain exploded. Su Ran watched in astonishment as the hastily formed hill detonated. It nearly engulfed him, still hovering in the air. Soon, the entire third layer of the world was once again filled with black stones, not much different from before.

"This is a Silver Boss. It should drop some epic equipment!"

Su Ran had fought for so long. It would be unthinkable not to claim the Blackstone Mage’s drops as a bonus. Without delay, he rushed towards where the Blackstone Mage fell. Once close, he cleaned away the magnetic rocks on top of it, revealing a card, five gold coins, three each of healing potions and Mana Potions, a silver piece of jewelry, and a silver helmet.

"Not bad for a mini loot!"

After experiencing the extravagant offerings of the golden treasure chest, the sight of these drops didn’t spark much interest in Su Ran. Still, he bent down and gathered all the items, leaving behind only the red card to examine its properties.

[Deception Card]

Can copy any item. The copied item is only for viewing and can not be used.

Note: This is the Supreme Treasure of all tricky merchants of the God-Demon Continent. You know what I mean.

"Deception Card?"

Upon seeing the properties of the card, Su Ran’s eyes lit up. If he used it to duplicate his Skill Elixir, that meant there was a 50% chance to gain another invaluable elixir!

When luck arrives, it can’t be stopped. Su Ran was so delighted he couldn’t close his mouth. Following that, he tossed the Deception Card into his bottomless bag. He then began to search carefully for the passage to the next level.

Finally, Su Ran uncovered the teleportation rune hidden under the pile of rocks.
