A little girl, looking about four or five years old, with big light green eyes and light brown hair, pretty as a porcelain doll, sat in a small pavilion at the University Park Campus of the University of Southern California, eating her ice cream cone while warily watching the unfamiliar couple.

Though wary of the lamppost-like guy who seemed to enjoy her tears, and equally cautious of the beautiful sister who was showing goodwill, she didn’t make a fuss about leaving. She didn’t even say she wanted to go alone, probably because these two seemed relatively harmless compared to others.
She had been running around wildly after sneaking out, initially very happy, but became upset after accidentally bumping into someone and falling. Mostly because she encountered a guy who didn’t console her when she cried, leaving her feeling defeated.
Moreover, after the thrill of sneaking out had worn off, she began to regret it. What if she got abducted? There weren’t many people on campus now, just some students studying for entrance exams and those staying in Los Angeles over the summer to work, leaving the place quite empty. Once the excitement had faded, she realized that running around alone was really quite dangerous.
