Chapter 385: Chapter 385: Clash of Titans - Black Crow vs. Kaido

The entire Wano Country was in turmoil after Kaido’s order.

A large number of samurai began to gather. These were the samurai loyal to Kaido, but there were also many ordinary citizens who didn’t know the reason for this sudden mobilization. They could only guess that something monumental was about to occur—something that even Kaido, the "Strongest Creature," deemed worthy of rallying such strength.

They saw Kaido’s pirate captains landing across Wano Country, their fleets converging on Onigashima. A black mass of warriors filled the landscape, numbering in the thousands.

This was the power of a top Emperor.

In the New World, any top pirate could easily summon thousands of men. Each of these pirates had survived in the New World, meaning they possessed considerable strength—not just ordinary cannon fodder. At the very least, they were a level above it.

Hime.

This was a region of Wano Country, with a bustling town and a strategic port.

At the port, countless pirates disembarked and made their way toward Onigashima.

Seeing this, many civilians wore expressions of fear, feeling an ominous sense of disaster looming over them.

Amidst the crowd, two figures stood watching the pirates curiously.

"These pirates must be Kaido’s subordinates. Three pirate groups have already landed in such a short time. What could have happened for Kaido to summon so many of his forces?" said a large, rotund figure dressed in a kimono, with traditional waist accessories. His expression was puzzled.

Beside him was a petite figure, also in a kimono, her face partially hidden by a delicate veil. Long emerald-green hair flowed down her back. Though still young, her bearing carried the elegance and composure of a Yamato Nadeshiko—gentle and graceful.

"Could it be that another powerful force is attacking Wano Country?" the young girl asked nervously.

"I suspect as much," replied the fat man—Kawamatsu. He frowned and muttered, "Could it be Whitebeard? No... unlikely. But apart from Whitebeard, who else in the world could stand against Kaido?" freēwēbηovel.c૦m

"Kawamatsu, let’s stay and observe," the girl said after a pause.

"Miss, this could become dangerous," Kawamatsu warned. "If a battle between powerful beings breaks out, neither Kaido’s victory nor defeat will matter—the destruction will be immense. We should leave."

"No. I want to see who has the courage to challenge Kaido. This might even be Wano’s chance to break free," she said firmly.

"This..."

Kawamatsu hesitated but eventually nodded. "Very well, Miss. I will ensure your safety."

At sea.

The fleet of the Black Crow Pirates surged forward, cutting across the waves like a black tide as they headed for Wano Country.

On the Black Glory, Mio held a Den Den Mushi in one hand, speaking in a calm, almost indifferent tone.

"Bring Shusui to Wano Country."

"You’re going to challenge Kaido?"

"I’ll fight him," Mio replied coolly. "But whether I kill him is another matter. Your only task is to bring Shusui to me. After this, you can join the Black Crow Pirates."

"Hehehe... Shusui is Wano’s national treasure. You contacted me because you plan to use it to gain the people’s loyalty, don’t you? Clever. Looks like you’ve been planning this for some time."

The corners of Mio’s mouth curled upward as he shrugged. "You can refuse, but if you do, I’ll take it myself. And you know the consequences."

"Of course, I know," the voice chuckled darkly. "It’s nothing but death for me. Fine—I’ll deliver Shusui. I can’t kill Kaido myself, but watching you crush him will be... delightful, hehehe."

The Den Den Mushi clicked off.

The twisted laughter left Mio disgusted. Tossing the Den Den Mushi to Warrick, Mio turned to Bai Feng.

"How far are we from Wano?"

"With favorable winds and our ship’s speed, we’ll arrive in two hours at most," Bai Feng answered. Their ships—improved versions of the legendary Pluton—were extraordinarily fast.

"Two hours..." Mio muttered. His eyes gleamed with anticipation, and he grinned. "Tell the men to prepare. We’re not hiding our approach. Kaido already knows we’re coming. When we land, the battle begins."

"Don’t worry, Captain."

Lilith stepped forward with a faint smile. "The crew has been itching for war. They can’t wait to get started."

"Hah... I figured as much." Mio chuckled, pulled Lilith into an embrace, and sat cross-legged, calmly waiting.

Two hours later.

The coast of Wano Country came into view.

Mio raised his eyes and saw a massive dragon-shaped figure hovering in the skies above the country.

Kaido.

"Black Crow... what are you planning?!" Kaido’s deep, booming voice carried across the waves, accompanied by his suffocating aura.

Mio smirked as he stood. "Isn’t it obvious? I’m here for a slice of the seastone cake."

"You little brat!"

Kaido grinned savagely. "If you want it, you’ll have to take it from me... if you can!"

"You won’t have to worry about that," Mio replied coldly. With a single step, he vanished from the deck and reappeared in front of Kaido. Without hesitation, Mio threw a punch, his Armament Haki surging.

"Hmph!"

Kaido’s pupils contracted slightly, but his reflexes matched his reputation. He raised his massive fist to meet Mio’s.

BOOM!

Their fists collided with a thunderous shockwave, sending violent gales across the sea. The water churned, and ships rocked violently under the force.

In the next instant, Kaido was sent flying backward, his enormous frame smashing into the rocky terrain and leaving a crater in his wake.

"Lads!" Mio roared, shaking his fist. "Kill!!"

"DESTROY THE BEASTS!!"

The Black Crow Pirates let out a deafening war cry as their ships surged forward, landing at Wano’s shores.

"CHARGE!!"

"Hahahaha! Let’s slaughter them all!!"

The pirates swarmed off their ships in droves, converging on Kuri’s Ida Port.

"Black Crow, you bastard!"

Kaido wiped blood from his mouth and staggered to his feet. His eyes blazed red with fury.

"Kill every last one of them!!"

Kaido’s roar echoed across Wano Country. His men and samurai rallied to his command, charging headlong at the Black Crow Pirates.

At the forefront were Kaido’s two remaining All-Stars: King the Wildfire and Queen the Plague.

A mighty roar erupted from Queen as his massive body transformed into a brachiosaurus, bulldozing through enemy ranks with sheer size and strength.

But suddenly—

Whoosh!

A sharp wind blade sliced across Queen’s thick hide, leaving a deep gash. Blood spurted before the wound began healing at an alarming speed.

"Damn it, that hurt!" Queen cursed, his eyes narrowing as he spotted Bai Feng standing in the distance.

"Bai Feng of the Black Crow Pirates..."

Queen’s pupils constricted. Though he was one of Kaido’s top lieutenants, he knew enough about the Black Crow Pirates to recognize Bai Feng’s strength.

At least it wasn’t Asuka.

"If that woman were here, I’d be dead already," Queen muttered to himself.

But before he could even react—

CRACK!

Bai Feng appeared in front of him like a phantom and unleashed a devastating kick coated in Armament Haki.

BANG!

Queen was sent flying backward.

"Don’t get distracted in battle," Bai Feng said coldly, stepping forward to press the attack.

Across the battlefield, chaos reigned.

The Black Crow Pirates clashed violently with Kaido’s men. Blood stained the earth as the two armies fought ferociously.

Lilith, graceful yet deadly, engaged a giant female cadre of the Beasts Pirates in combat, their clash shaking the ground.

Above it all, Kaido roared in fury.

"THUNDER BAGUA!!"

His massive kanabo glowed with crackling energy as he swung it down.

But Mio caught it mid-swing with his bare hand. The sheer force drove Mio back slightly, but a sinister grin spread across his face.

"Your strength is impressive, Kaido... but not enough."

With a sudden surge of power, Mio wrenched the kanabo aside and clenched his flaming fist, a mixture of Armament Haki, draconic power, and demonic energy swirling around it.

BOOM!

He punched Kaido squarely in the chest, sending the Emperor hurtling into the distance.

The ground trembled as Kaido slammed into it, coughing blood as cracks spread from the impact point.

"Roar!"

Kaido transformed into his full dragon form, his colossal body twisting in the sky as thunderclouds gathered overhead.

From his maw came a torrent of scorching flames that melted the very earth.

But Mio simply raised his own fist, flames swirling into the shape of a fire dragon before he launched it to meet Kaido’s breath.

The two attacks collided with a deafening explosion.

Fire rained across the battlefield like deadly meteors, killing any unfortunate souls caught in their path.

Kaido narrowed his eyes.

"What... is your Devil Fruit ability? A Mythical Zoan?"

Mio smirked. "That’s not something you need to know. What you should worry about... is whether I’ll slay you today."

With a single step, Mio appeared above Kaido’s massive head, his fists glowing with an ominous black-purple flame.

"Get out of my sight!"

Kaido roared and unleashed a powerful shockwave of draconic energy.

But Mio’s fist tore through it effortlessly, crashing down on Kaido’s skull.

"Roar!"

The dragon’s agonized bellow echoed as Kaido crashed into the ground, flames engulfing his scales and leaving blackened burns.

Kaido reverted to his human form, staggering as blood dripped from his mouth.

"Huff... Huff... You’re strong, Black Crow... but I’m not done yet."

Mio cracked his neck and stared him down, his upper body bare and muscles rippling with power.

"Good. If this is all you’ve got, Kaido, I’ll crush you here and now."

"Don’t underestimate me... I’M KAIDO!!"

Kaido roared with defiance as the earth beneath him shattered, his Conqueror’s Haki clashing violently against Mio’s own.

The battlefield trembled under the weight of their fight—an apocalyptic clash between two monsters of the sea.
