One Night Bride: Master Blackwood's Substitute Wife-Chapter 881: Forensic Pathologist
Sharon Langley was much younger than him. Although she was also outside, she ran out on her own, and she had a father who loved her, so she seemed in a much better state than he was.
Even her clothes were more than his.
Silas Eastwood just stared at her coldly, still not speaking, but his eyes conveyed the message that he wanted her to leave. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Sharon wasn’t afraid. Perhaps worried that her appearance might scare people, she wore a thin veil over her small face.
After staring at him for several minutes, she suddenly took off her thick coat, gloves, scarf, and hat.
Without saying a word, she just looked at him seriously with her big, beautiful eyes, then cautiously handed the items she was holding to him.
The two children were silent.
Silas understood her intention but stubbornly refused to accept, just turning his face away in disregard.
Sharon didn’t mind and instead smiled at him; "Brother, cold."
Uncharacteristically, the usually quiet Silas spoke, though his attitude was less than nice: "What’s it to you?"
Even with such a harsh tone, Sharon showed no sign of being hurt, maybe she was used to it.
She wasn’t good-looking, and people didn’t like her.
So it wasn’t surprising that Silas didn’t like her either, she didn’t mind.
Even so, she left her coat and such for Silas, turned around, and went hopping and skipping over to her dad.
"Dad, I’m so cold, give me a hug."
From afar, he heard the little girl’s soft voice, truly shivering from the cold.
That was the first time Silas tasted the feeling of regret.
Maybe he should have been kinder to her, not so harsh.
The coat the little girl left didn’t fit well, it was too short, but just that ill-fitting coat saved his life.
Early the next morning, the Eastwood family’s servant opened the door to clean the snow in the yard and remembered there was still a person outside.
It was Sharon Langley who saved him.
Memories buried deep in his mind resurfaced, and Silas slightly curved his mouth into a smile.
Even though many years had passed, he still thought Sharon was a kind little girl.
...
On the other side.
Sharon picked up the fallen divorce papers from the floor, stared at the signature line, looking at Silas Eastwood’s name for a long time.
After a moment, she took a deep breath, put away the divorce papers, and strode towards another hospital room.
"Dad, sob... why did you leave so suddenly, how can mom and I accept this..."
Before she walked in, she heard Yasmine Langley’s crying.
Wendy Quill stood beside the bedside, her face calm, but traces of sadness were etched in her brows and eyes.
Sharon’s eyes were sharp, this time, regardless of whether Wendy and Yasmine let her into the room, she didn’t say a word, she resolutely pushed aside the bodyguard standing at the door.
"Move!"
Her aura was intimidating, even the crying Yasmine shuddered at the spine in fright.
She turned her head and saw Sharon in full force, a bad feeling immediately welled up in the back of her mind.
"What... what do you want to do?"
She asked instinctively.
Sharon painfully glanced at her father lying on the hospital bed, no longer breathing, closed her eyes slightly, then spoke again, her voice determined: "I demand a forensic autopsy on my father’s body!"
What?!
