Kadi was fast. It was evident that he had grown much in this bout—something that others didn't realize yet.

At this moment, Kadi charged right at Xiso. This appeared reckless, but in fact, it was a calculated move.

Surprisingly, Kadi had thought it through... 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Kadi believed that Xiso, being one of Guru Mountain's monsters like himself, would never harm him. His apparent attack on Xiso was merely a ruse to see if Bigas truly despised Xiso or not. Xiso had treated her in such a way that if she truly harbored hatred towards Xiso, she would have absolutely disregarded Xiso's well-being...

But would things really be as simple as Kadi thought?

Obviously not.

When Kadi saw Bigas's Ice Blades appear in front of Xiso, he laughed inwardly with joy. Igor and I were right, he thought. Bigas *does* still have feelings for Xiso; otherwise, why would she jump in front of him with her blade…

Before Kadi could finish his thought, CLANG! A tremendous force shook him, making him ache all over.

He looked closely and saw several sword hilts and flat blades had suddenly appeared before him, blocking his path.

And the edges of those swords were directly clashing with Bigas's Ice Blades.

Kadi's chest throbbed with pain from the impact. This was only because someone had pulled him back just in time. If not for that force yanking him from behind, he likely would have been cut by the flat of those blades...

Even without those blades, Bigas's Ice Blades could have minced him...

Seeing this, a deep chill ran through Kadi. At least it's just a chill now, he thought. If no one had pulled me back, and if that Blade Array hadn't appeared, I'd probably be cold all over—dead cold.

Kadi quickly regained his composure. He knew that the Blade Array was Kevin's power, and the person who likely pulled him back was Simon. Only Simon possessed the agile footwork to halt his progress.

No matter what, I got my life back!

Kevin immediately scolded, "You reckless brat! Can't you be less impulsive?"

Bigas, her haughty and icy demeanor instantly returning, demanded, "You insignificant ants! Who gave you the right to interfere in my affairs with Xiso?"

"We gave it to ourselves, of course!" Kadi retorted. Though he'd just had a narrow escape and was still shaken, he remained stubbornly defiant.

"Have you eaten a leopard's gall?" Bigas sneered. She was trying to maintain her arrogant and icy facade, but her thoughts were scattered; she was being cold for the sake of being cold, and much of what she said was illogical.

Why would I eat a leopard's gall? Kadi wondered, completely baffled. I was determined to reach Xiso; I didn't need any leopard's gall for that!

"You dare interfere in my affairs? If that's not audacity, what is?" Bigas pressed, the situation now devolving into an argument between her and Kadi.

"What affairs could you and Xiso possibly have? When you saw me charge, you rushed to protect him. Isn't it obvious that you still—"

"Shut up!" Bigas snapped, cutting Kadi off mid-sentence. She raised a finger, and a dozen Ice Blades materialized in the air, a clear threat.

But Kadi was unfazed. "People usually get agitated like this when the truth hits a nerve. So, I'd advise you—"

Before Kadi could finish, those Ice Arrows flew towards him…

Kadi was prepared this time. He quickly dodged them, but there were too many Ice Arrows. He avoided one, but another was about to pierce his rear…

BANG! At the crucial moment, Kevin intervened. His flying blades collided with the Ice Arrows, shattering them in mid-air!

"Damn it! I really don't get how Xiso ended up with such a savage lover!" Kadi exclaimed. He was pelted by shards of ice, which stung, but his words remained sharp as he continued to provoke Bigas.

"You insignificant ant! What right do you have to comment on Xiso!" Bigas's emotions were now completely frayed. She lashed out at Kadi, a mere junior, completely disregarding her own status.

Simon saw that Kadi was about to be hit by the ice shards. Kadi was, at best, a teenager who had just learned to fight in professional circles, while Bigas was a Saintly Robed Wizard. The disparity in power was immense. Without a word, Simon activated his Devil's Steps and whisked Kadi away…

If he hadn't, Kadi's sharp tongue would undoubtedly have caused even more trouble. The current situation was already chaotic enough!

"Kevin!" Simon yelled. Though he was moving incredibly fast, he could still feel the oppressive weight of an ice mountain bearing down on them from behind.

Indeed. Bigas had forgone Ice Arrows this time. Instead, she summoned a massive ice mountain, intending to crush Kadi alive, as if only that could dispel her deep-seated resentment.

The ice mountain plummeted from the sky…

Kevin leaped into the air, his ten fingers transforming into sharp blades that slashed continuously—SWISH, SWISH, SWISH!

"A dignified Saintly Robed Wizard, aren't you ashamed of being so ruthless to a child still wet behind the ears!" Kevin shouted as he landed, carried by his momentum. He was clearly furious with Bigas's actions.

"You have no right to speak before me!" Bigas's eyes were bloodshot with fury; she was past all reasoning.

In an instant, the atmosphere crackled with tension. Both sides were poised for a fight.

Xiso stood alone to the side, looking utterly bewildered, unsure which side to support.

"Put me down, Simon! I was just trying to prove something!" Kadi yelled, jostling as Simon carried him.

"That wasn't proving anything, that was just stirring up chaos!" Simon grumbled. They had been discussing how to create an opportunity for Xiso and Bigas, and then this brat had to jump in and ruin everything.

Now Bigas was truly enraged. Disregarding who her opponents were, she unleashed a major spell. She was a Water Wizard, and her control over water was naturally masterful. However, Bigas seemed to prefer water in its solid state, always using ice in her duels.

This time, she began to freeze everything around her, intending to encase them all in ice.

Instantly, the ground began to freeze over at an unimaginable speed.

"Bigas, stop this nonsense!" Xiso finally yelled.

After all, a Saintly Robed Wizard's ultimate spell was no joke. Even if her opponents were top-tier experts, it would result in devastating injuries for both sides.

This widespread freezing would only harm everyone involved.

"What nonsense am I supposedly up to?" Bigas retorted, unmoved.

Frost rapidly spread across the area, an intense chill accompanying it. Kevin and the others began to gather their power to counter the encroaching ice.

It seemed like a chaotic battle was about to begin…

And all of this was caused by Kadi...
