One-Eyed Monster-Chapter 721 - 718: Die, You Bastard Who Can’t See the Sun!
Igor needed Hustace to provide him with details on how to unleash Lightning.
This was something Igor wasn't as clear about as Hustace. Igor only knew that his stone contained the power of Lightning, and now he needed that power.
Using the power of Lightning to launch a final attack on the Puppet Skull was part of Igor's last plan, and the most crucial part.
Hustace naturally shared all his knowledge about Lightning with Igor without reservation. Strangely enough, while Igor had been crucial in creating the imitation Rain Crystal Stone—the most critical step being implanting the Lightning into the stone—he didn't understand how to unleash it, even though he knew how to place it there.
This was truly a baffling matter. Fortunately, with Hustace's help, Igor was able to continue executing his plan.
Everyone had completed their tasks as per Igor's instructions. Arnold provided support along the Timeline. Kuren had created a strikingly lifelike Portrait of the Dark Night for Igor. Kuyi Tulan bought precious time for all of them by keeping the Alchemy Array of the Alchemy Workshop engaged in a struggle against the Undead Creatures. Simon had found a shortcut route for Igor. Yuga and Brad provided Igor and Stan Sol with herbs and potions to restore energy and strengthen their bodies.
Everything seemed to be in place. Igor closed his eyes, waiting for an opportunity—the optimal moment for attack. If he timed it well, everything could end smoothly. If not, they would have to start over.
This was the purpose of Igor's wait.
He wanted to carry out all this in the best state possible.
Waiting can be a long process, but also a fleeting moment. Although only a few Gudu Time had passed, their thoughts were immensely complicated.
They all quietly observed everything occurring around them, filled with numerous thoughts.
Everything has its season; they all understood this deeply now. All their efforts were for that fleeting moment.
"I am ready," Stan Sol said quietly, ready to coordinate with Igor for the final attack. He was the last step in the entire process.
Igor quietly took in everything. He felt the power brought on by their collective effort and an indescribable anticipation.
Yes, everyone was filled with anticipation for the final counterattack!
Igor had done a lot so far, and now he just needed to take that final step.
He unleashed the Lightning power from the stone and filled the sky with Kuren's entire Spirit Painting. The darkness was oppressive enough already, but he once more smeared pitch-black darkness over the entire sky.
Kuren's Spirit Painting was brought to life, making Moonflow Stream pitch black, with no sign of light.
The darkness devoured everything.
That was the feeling Moonflow Stream imparted. Darkness temporarily ruled over everything. The oppressive nature of this darkness was enough to send chills down one's spine, even for someone who had faced numerous life-and-death situations.
Igor opened his eyes; he had been silent for a while. Now he knew the time was right.
"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time," Kuren said with a smile. Despite the darkness making it nearly impossible to see anything, he could sense that Igor was preparing to take action.
"Hopefully, we will succeed. I am eagerly looking forward to the world that follows," Yuga said, letting out a sigh. Regardless of the future, he had come to terms with it. As one of the Sages, he felt guilty for being unable to do anything at this moment, let alone have any countermeasures; he felt he had completely failed his title.
"I too am filled with anticipation for the future world," said Kuyi Tulan. This encounter had yielded him significant insights, and he planned to make detailed changes to his entire plan in the future.
"As long as we have a future—" Simon wasn't too confident about it. His inherently gloomy nature made him this way.
Igor took in everyone's words. In the darkness, he maintained a confident smile. He knew that others couldn't see or feel his reassuring smile, so he simply said, "Don't worry."
"Don't worry." This phrase encompassed all of Igor's feelings.
Words were of no use at this point. These two words, "Don't worry," summed up all of Igor's actions.
Doing has always been more important than saying.
The phrase "Don't worry" was clearly Igor's action, worth more than a thousand words.
The entire process was like Igor telling everyone, "Don't worry. Wait for me while I deal with that repulsive bastard." Then, he grinned and walked off towards the enemy without looking back.
Stan Sol was ready.
Teleportation—this was a traditional Secret technique of the Sol Family. He didn't expect it to be used so many times on Guru Mountain.
Stan Sol didn't want to think about the emotions tied to this. They didn't have much time to dwell on these things right now.
He needed to go all out.
The target's attractive pull was weak, so Stan Sol's Teleportation couldn't pinpoint the exact location.
Half of Stan Sol's impressions of the Dark Force were from his previous clash with Wizard Reed, and the other half from Igor's descriptions.
The wooden board Igor had given him indeed provided a lot of valuable information, contributing significantly to the plan.
Stan Sol exhausted all his power. At this moment, he successfully performed the Teleportation and arrived at the final location.
Yes, Igor had perfectly positioned himself in front of the Dark Force.
In front of him was the Puppet Skull, the remnant of Wizard Reed!
Could he successfully launch a sneak attack? At this moment, Stan Sol was incredibly excited. After all, they had been preparing and planning for so long just for this moment.
Compared to the others, Stan Sol was indeed fortunate. He was able to watch the final step of the plan unfold up close, whereas the others could only wait for the outcome. In this, he was lucky.
Stan Sol was filled with anticipation, hoping that Igor's Lightning would work and deliver a fatal blow to the skull! 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
However, reality disappointed Stan Sol.
Igor, with Lightning in both hands, suddenly froze. It was as if an unseen force had trapped him, leaving him suspended in mid-air, unable to move, like a figure in a painting.
"TSK TSK. A perfect surprise attack," Wizard Reed's remnant said casually. "However, such petty tricks are useless against me."
Witnessing this scene, Stan Sol felt a wave of despair.
"Even if your attack does hit me, what can it do?" Wizard Reed's remnant taunted mockingly.
Igor tried to struggle. He wanted to follow through with his attack.
"Is struggling useful? I want to see what else you can do. This attack—you can't unleash it." The mocking voice still lingered.
"HEH HEH!" Igor stopped struggling, his statement laden with meaning.
"You insignificant ant..." Wizard Reed's remnant sneered.
"Who said I only have this move? Who said I have to throw this punch?" Igor's confident voice rang out, clear and pleasant like the chiming of a bell.
"Huh?" Wizard Reed's remnant was puzzled.
"I can always let go!" Igor declared, and as he spoke, he released his hold. The Lightning in his hands zipped up into the sky.
"Die, you despicable creature that cannot face the sun!" As Igor spoke, a gigantic Fireball appeared in the sky, radiating a dazzling light.
