At the sound of the voice, Chloe Sterling whirled around. She saw Jasper Lockwood walking toward her, her face a mask of astonishment.

Silas Coldwell’s brow furrowed. "Jasper Lockwood! How did you get in?"

Jasper Lockwood’s deep eyes met his as he replied indifferently, "I walked in, of course."

Silas’s eyes narrowed. He barked, "Someone, get in here!"

Zane Stratton hurried over. Seeing Jasper Lockwood, he was utterly shocked. "J... Jasper Lockwood!"

Silas’s sharp gaze fell on him as he demanded coldly, "A stranger walked in and you didn’t even know!"

A chill ran down Zane’s back. He immediately said, "It was my dereliction of duty." Then, turning to Jasper, he said, "President Lockwood, trespassing on private property without permission isn’t right. Please leave."

Jasper Lockwood paid him no mind, not even sparing him a glance. He looked at Chloe Sterling, his expression serious. "Don’t believe him. Leave with me."

Chloe asked doubtfully, "How did you know I was here?"

Jasper replied, "Someone told me."

Silas immediately cut in, "You’re not going with him! Don’t forget, you still need to find your master."

Chloe was caught in a difficult decision. She wanted to get information about her master from Silas, but she didn’t want to put Jasper in an awkward position.

"Silas!" Jasper’s tone was glacial. "Don’t force my hand."

Silas laughed, his tone disdainful. "Fine. I’d like to see what you’re really capable of." After speaking, he looked at Chloe and added, "You’re not allowed to leave."

Jasper reached out and pulled Chloe directly into his arms, stating coldly, "You’re not the one to tell her what to do."

The two men’s eyes met, the tension thick enough to cut with a knife.

Seeing this, Zane Stratton immediately stepped forward. Just then, Henry Chamberlain suddenly appeared and blocked his path. "Someone like you isn’t worthy of getting near our Second Master."

Jasper lowered his gaze to Chloe and said again, "Let’s go."

After looking between the two men and thinking for a moment, Chloe nodded. "Okay."

Seeing how obediently Chloe listened to Jasper, Silas’s expression darkened further. "You’re going to leave with him? You’re giving up on your master?"

After a pause, Chloe finally said, "I’ll find my master myself."

The two turned and walked out.

Behind them, Silas spoke again. "President Lockwood, my territory isn’t a place you can just come and go as you please."

The moment he finished speaking, a dozen bodyguards in black suits rushed in, blocking Jasper’s path.

Chloe turned back. "Silas, don’t do anything reckless."

Jasper just smiled nonchalantly and declared domineeringly, "No matter where I am, I’ve always come and gone as I please." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

With that, he put his arm around Chloe’s shoulder and continued walking forward.

At the same time, four more men rushed in from outside. They were Jasper Lockwood’s elite fighters.

"Second Master."

The men called out, then took up protective positions at their sides.

Henry Chamberlain also moved to join them.

With a look from Silas, the dozen bodyguards all surged forward.

Chloe said nothing more and turned to walk out.

Jasper shot Silas a cold glare, then turned to follow.

Silas’s face was grim as he watched the two of them walk out of the villa.

Outside the villa gates, Chloe first spoke to Chase Langdon, telling him to head back on his own, before getting into Jasper Lockwood’s car.

Jasper’s expression wasn’t pleasant. His deep, almond-shaped eyes watched her quietly.

Chloe suddenly began to explain, "I only came to find him because I was anxious. I didn’t mean to hide it from you."

Jasper asked, "If I hadn’t shown up, would you really have agreed to his conditions?"

"No," Chloe said firmly. After a pause, she added, "I never considered agreeing to any of his conditions."

"Then why did you still come? If it was just a stalling tactic, do you really think you could have tricked him?"

"How would I know if I didn’t try!"

"If he were that easy to fool, he wouldn’t have survived long enough to reach his current position." After a pause, Jasper added, "And were you serious just now when you said we’d never see each other again? If I hadn’t let him off, you were going to leave?"

Chloe: "I just wanted you to stop before it led to irreparable consequences."

Jasper: "When it comes down to it, you still didn’t want me to hurt him."

In today’s situation, Silas was clearly at a disadvantage.

Chloe: "What good would it do you to actually hurt him?"

Jasper: "It would make me happy."

Chloe: "..."

Before she could say another word, Jasper’s large hand suddenly cupped the back of her head, and his lips crashed down on hers. He held her captive, pouring all the day’s suppressed emotions into that kiss.

After a long time, just as Chloe felt she was about to faint, he slowly lifted his head and said hoarsely, "Don’t ever say anything like that again."

Chloe’s breathing was slightly ragged. She kept her eyes lowered and didn’t respond.

"Chloe."

"If I had people following you, with your perceptiveness, you think you wouldn’t have noticed?" After a pause, Jasper added, "It was Damian Rivers who had Tristan Sinclair call me."

’Although Tristan didn’t say who it was, I could guess it was Damian.’

Chloe: "...So you knew my whereabouts all day today? I bet Phoebe Sinclair told you something."

Jasper: "I just received photos of you with Damian Rivers. As for who sent them, I don’t know."

It could be no one other than Phoebe Sinclair. Chloe said quietly, "She certainly is persistent."
