Omega Summoner-Chapter 2506: Nobility of the Night IV

Adrian cleansed the effects of the polymorph from his body and reverted back to his demon self. As soon as the vampires saw him, all of them immediately stood up and proceeded to bow. The vampires in the Edelblud family are not idiots to not memorize the face of the one their mistress calls as brother.

A werewolf for a lover and a demon for a brother is one combination that the elders of the Edelblud family did not expect. Adrian was promptly escorted towards the reception area where the elders are currently gathered as Solstice already gave commands. Sirius went back inside of Adrian’s shadows as his duty to send his master to the estate is done.

The Edelblud estate is really something different as it has this old Victorian era aura to it. It is very much giving the haunted mansion vibes if the sky was dark and drab. The inside of the manor was splendidly decorated though as it felt pristine and elegant. There are also lots of maids and butlers tending to the entire manor and all of them are capable fighters.

"This manor has tighter security than some castles where royalty live." Adrian thought as she followed the old butler to an area with a wide hall and large door.

"Apologies for the sudden interruption but the guest of honor has arrived." The old butler stated as he gave a bow before slowly opening the door.

When the door opened, Adrian could feel the piercing gazes of all the vampires inside of the room. All of them were powerful but they do not possess the raw aura of the one seated at the helm of the table. A beautiful red-haired lady could be seen sitting at the very end of the large table. Her aura almost actually rivals that of one of the Daemos Elders.

Adrian does not know if she was keeping her strength secret, but he knows that Vampires are beings that get stronger with time. Vampires can grow stronger in battle as more blood meant more power for them. They are basically better berserkers than the actual berserkers due to their traits. He looked to the side of the beautiful lady and found his sister beckoning him to her side.

"Greetings, Duchess Edelblud and Elders of Edelblud! I am Equinox, Mediator of Death." Adrian introduced himself as he gave them a glimpse of his aura.

In a split second, Adrian released his aura partially and all the elders and even the duchess felt the overbearing pressure. It was a pressure unlike anything that they have ever felt before. Even the pressure of a Blood Queen cannot compare to what the demon before them has released. All of them suddenly took an interest to the Mediator of Death and scrutinized Adrian to the utmost degree.

The Edelblud family might run numerous intelligence businesses but not all of them are easily gotten. They know of Adrian because he is the Ruler of Avalon which is the only floating island in the world currently. They also took an interest in him because of the fact that Solstice keeps calling him her brother. Still, getting information on demons is not easy even if some are vampires.

Adrian is also difficult to grasp on what he is going to do as he often jumps from place to place. Vampires could use the darkness to move quickly but they cannot teleport like the Daemos. The stories of vampires teleporting and such were just what humans told as they could not perceive shadow travel. Only those that can perform spatial magic without difficulty can perform teleportation. Even the Blink spell of Mages is already considered Legendary Tier spells to master while that is just considered a Rare tier spell for demons.

Spying on demons is also not a good thing as the Vampires have made a pact with the demons. The vampires of old made a pact that basically told them that their descendants will not mess with the demons in exchange for letting them do what they want. The demons agreed to this pact hence why they do not monitor vampire activity and also did not help them when Vampire Hunters rose in prominence.

You can say that the vampires have a tendency to become disinterested in the matters of the world. The older ones tend to subject themselves to their endless passions or hobbies while those that cannot bother will sleep for centuries. This is also the reason why some vampire families declined in prominence and power as some of those that were left cannot effectively rule lands.

"I know that this is rude to ask to the Mediator of Death, but your hair is natural. Is it not?" One of the elders asked as he could see that Adrian’s hair was almost fully white.

"Yes. This is my natural hair which resulted from various opportunities." Adrian replied but the elders of the Edelblud family know what he meant by that.

The elders of the Edelblud family were one of the oldest vampires that are still alive. Their nature to sleep for centuries did help them escape the vampire hunting years but they never forget the beings more powerful than them. For the descendants of Asmodians, a being with white hair is incredibly uncommon to the point that they are one in a million.

Asmodian descendants are do not age and they can easily morph their bodies into forms they want but they can never create white hair naturally. All Asmodian Descendants know that white hair is equivalent to that descendant having higher purity in bloodline. A bloodline that is incredibly close to the ancestors of the race itself.

The elders of Edelblud might be old but their noses are still top notch, and they could smell it. They can smell the rich and powerful blood bursting with energy in the veins of the demon before them. The demon that their young princess calls as ’brother’ is closer in kind to their ancestors than demons. The Mediator of Death might even be called the last living Asmodian as the elders know the exact smell of an Asmodian and Adrian fits the bill.

"We have information on the Crazed Blood Queen Bathory, Solstice. It is unverified though as these are just mere whispers from our human servants. You do know that any vampire lower than a Marquis will inevitably be discovered. She is said to be located in the slums of a kingdom as there were several reports of missing girls there." One of the elders that was the most tightlipped suddenly stated which shocked the others.

"Which kingdom is it then, elder? Also, why the sudden change of heart?" Solstice asked as she was curious.

"The Kingdom is called Argento. The change of heart is merely from my instincts telling me that this is correct path moving forward. All of those under me shall be at your call when you need us to." The elder stated as he looked deeply towards Adrian and he immediately knew that their house would rise once more with him backing them up.

The other elders were speechless as the most rigid and conservative of them suddenly wanted to support Solstice fully. He was the one that even warned her not to marry a werewolf, but it seems that he no longer cared about that when Equinox came. He also looked serious as he is not someone known to play pranks or jokes.

"Thank you for the support, Elder Francois. I never expected that you would suddenly fully support me, but it seems you have a vision of the future. If that is the price for your support, then I will not let you down, but Argento is not a kingdom vampires could easily enter." Solstice stated.

"Why is that the case then, sister?" Adrian asked as he was already sitting as a very comfortable chair was brought out for him to seat in. He was also served tea and a very nice-looking red velvet cake.

"Argento is a kingdom that is ran by Vampire Hunters. The royalty in that kingdom is Vampire Hunters by blood. Vampire Hunters are rare, but they are very good in sniffing out any vampire pretending to be human." Solstice stated.

"The Vampire Hunters today have fallen off as none of us have terrorized innocent civilians after all. Then again, they may be needed with the Crazed Blood Queens on the loose. They were very useful creations that did the dirty work for us." Duchess Leticia stated. frёeωebɳovel.com

"Wait? Vampires created the Vampire Hunters?" Adrian asked in shock as he never thought that someone would be willing to create those that will endanger themselves.

"It was a tale so long ago when some vampires became unable to control their thirst for blood and reigned the night with fear. The night was not supposed to be a time where fear strikes but a time where one could rest. So, some of the oldest generations took matters into their hands and created the Vampire Hunters using forbidden magic." Duchess Leticia stated.
