Omega Ascension System[BL]-Chapter 287: _You’re Spiraling
Elian’s POV
*****
[Alert: Sorry to interrupt your body reconstruction moment, but—there’s... something off about Prince Charming’s gift.]
[I ignored it at first but ran quick background scans and—goddess, you’re too far gone to listen to me.]
Indeed, he was.
Because right now Elian had himself lifted off the ground by none other than Kyren. The Rogue king’s hands gripped his thighs, white hair sticking to his chest due to all the sweat and water.
Elian’s dick twitched against his abs, still aching from two orgasms. One more won’t—
[Fine... looks like I’m going full crack down mode on this thing. Without you. You’ll get your results after you’ve had your hole filled... again.]
It was at that point that Elian’s brows furrowed in a deep frown—one Kyren noticed instantly.
"Something wrong?" The Rogue king asked, voice still soft despite his promise not to hold back a few seconds ago.
Elian shook his head, glancing at Lucian who was already on his feet. The Alpha Prince had a hand around his length, squeezing out the drops of his cum left.
Fuck.
"It’s... It’s nothing." Elian forced a smile. "Just..." he damned it, using the bond Resonance to reach into Kyren’s mind. ’The system just gave me a notification. Something about Lucian’s gift being sketchy.’
Kyren arched his brow. ’Lucian’s gift?’
’The heart jewel bracelet around my right wrist, Kyren.’ Elian’s mental voice was stressed. ’I almost ignored it...’
[I mean, by all means, don’t let me be the barrier from you getting dicked down.]
Elian’s brows twitched. ’... But you know it just got an upgrade. Whatever it’s picking up must be something important.’
Kyren paused for a second. Or two.
Then—
’We should stop.’
Elian’s eyes bulged like those words were blasphemous. ’We... we don’t have to. I can check out what the system is talking about after—’
’The fact your system is noticing something so soon after an upgrade,’ Kyren cut him short mentally, already lowering him to the floor. ’tells me we don’t have an ’after’. That thing is a divine gift.’
[>System currently blushing but still running through scans<]
Elian swallowed hard, fists tightening on Kyren’s shoulders when his feet touched the cold marble floor. The Rogue king’s hands rested on his waist—their bodies still pressed enough for Elian to feel his length basically throbbing for release.
"Uhh...?" Lucian’s awkward sound forced Elian to swerve his head to him. "What’s happening? Are we tired already? Because—I think I could use some wine or moon dew before we go again."
’We can always do this some other time.’ Kyren’s voice still rang firm in his head. His right hand went up his arm, finding his face and cupping it with a gentleness that made Elian’s knees wobble. ’My promise of not holding back still stands—but it’ll be impossible to make if something happens to you, no?’
Elian’s shoulders relaxed, a heavy breath leaving his chest.
Ugh, he knew he was right.
He just... felt a little guilty.
[Because the man didn’t come? Girl, he’s lived for centuries. You think a little blue ball’s going to wreck him like a sex deprived twink? No shade.]
’Shade seen, bitch.’ Elian held himself from rolling his eyes, instead smiling at Kyren. ’You’re so—’
"And now they’re staring into each other’s eyes like I’m not right here." Lucian looked away, hand rubbing the back of his neck while his jaw tightened. "Should I... should I leave?"
Elian’s lips parted but Kyren spoke first.
"Nonsense, cousin." The Rogue King shifted, turning to Lucian. "Was just having a little mental chat with my—sorry, our mate. You know... perks of having magic." As he said that, he whispered into Elian’s mind. ’By the way... if a threesome isn’t enough to make you finally open up to him as much as you have with me—I don’t know what will.’
Those words sank into Elian harder than they should. Guilt twisted his chest like he had been punched and stabbed all at once.
Oh, if only Kyren knew... he still had one more secret up his sleeve that even he wasn’t aware of.
[Your mana core? Pfft, with its recent upgrade from beginner to intermediate, it’s only a matter of time before he notices it himself. Mana fluctuations and all—transcendant core mages seem to be experts at sensing those.]
[And speaking of...]
Elian barely heard the system through the haze hitting his mind. His eyes blurred slightly, the ground suddenly feeling foreign underneath his feet.
"Right." Meanwhile, Lucian nodded in response to Kyren’s last words, tone ripe with sarcasm. "Anyway, since you two obviously don’t want another round, can we bathe in the hot pool? I can feel sweat in—"
"I can’t do it anymore." Elian cut in, shaking his head with a defeated sigh. "I can’t keep letting what Garrick did—and my fear of how you’ll see me overshadow my desperate need to open up."
He looked between Kyren and Lucian. The former’s face was calm, almost stoic—but his eyes brimmed with silent approval and encouragement. As for Lucian, worry creased his forehead.
"Are you... Are you okay, Elian?" He stepped past Kyren in a heartbeat. His hands held Elian’s shoulders tightly. "What are you talking about? Open up about what?"
As Lucian spoke, Elian could not only hear the slight quickening in his heartbeat. He felt it, pulsing through him from the heart jewel.
He subconsciously looked at the thing. Its purple light thrummed softly, not seeming like something dangerous in the slightest.
[Scanning complete! Here are the results:]
When the system pulled out a translucent blue screen in front of him, he still maintained eye contact with Lucian. His lips trembled, gaze flicking to Kyren too.
If he wants any chance to face every hurdle ahead, he’ll need to tell them. EVERYTHING.
"Lucian," Elian began while the system simultaneously read out the results to him:
[1. The bracelet has layers of runes. From a transcendent core mage—hence why I couldn’t pick up its true purpose on time.]
"... You know how you’ve always been suspicious of me from the start?" Elian continued with Lucian, grabbing his hands and pressing them together.
Lucian blinked rapidly. "That... It’s just me being paranoid. I’ve accepted you’re not like others. You’re socially awkward, talk to yourself, space out—it’s all normal for someone who spent most of his life in a palace."
For a moment, Elian’s heart softened. The understanding in Lucian’s words was something he didn’t realise he really needed right now.
But—
"Except, it’s not my first life, Lucian." Elian didn’t even know when the words came out. Yet they did. And there was no turning back. "We’ve been mates. Before this. In a past life where Estella poisoned me to death and you stood there without lifting a finger."
As the Alpha Prince’s face twisted like he was on the verge of a mental breakdown, the system continued reading out the results:
[2. The magic signature of the runes was almost completely erased. So much so that I couldn’t pinpoint the identity of the witch who cast them... but I think we both know who.]
Gods...
Amara?
[3. The bracelet contains multiple heavy-layered curse rituals. Specifically, voodoo and a kind of dark magic that latches onto the host’s soul... giving the caster access to do basically anything to you.]
"... Elian?" Lucian’s hands trembled while he was still trying to hold himself together. "What are you even saying? Past lives? Estella... poison? I—"
"It’s the truth, Lucian." Kyren chipped in from the corner. His fingers wriggled, magically erasing any traces of their sin-filled deeds. "Whatever he tells you right now is the truth. Trust me."
Lucian nearly flipped at those last two words. Trust him.
’So, when you say the caster can do anything to me...’ Elian’s breath caught. ’Does that include—transferring whatever harm she gets to me?’
He didn’t even need the system’s reply to get an answer. Of course!
Of course, Amara and her fucking husband from hell managed to screw this up too! Of course, they managed to twist a gift meant to give the man he loves redemption into something diabolical.
It’s so sinister yet so fucking poetic!
[Babes... you’re spiraling.]
Elian groaned, beyond overwhelmed. He took a few steps back, withdrawing his hands from Lucian who was already bombarding him with more questions.
"Elian, these aren’t things you just reveal casually after... after what we just did." Lucian stuttered. "Please," he grabbed his right wrist. "Let’s... let’s just calm down and talk about this slowly. You can take your time."
Silence.
At that moment, all Elian could do was look into Lucian’s silver eyes. Those eyes which had once stared down on him like trash. And then at the heart jewel bracelet, glinting lazily around his right wrist.
Could it be...?
[Let’s not jump to conclusions... we still—]
"I was reborn and sent back in time, Lucian." Elian grabbed the bracelet with his other hand, glaring at the Alpha Prince. Tears stung his eyes, so many emotions swirling in his chest before one settled.
Betrayal.
"By the moon goddess herself." With a weak yank, he tore the bracelet out of his wrist, watching Lucian’s eyes cloud with something unreadable. "With a system... the Omega Ascension System. A sentient artificial intelligence in my mind meant to help me evolve beyond an Omega."
Pulling his hand gently out of Lucian’s grip, he hung the bracelet in the air between them. The tears now fell freely, shattering his nerves even worse than Garrick’s revelation.
"So, Lucian—tell me why the system picked up curses in this gift meant to harm me." Elian croaked between sobs. "Curses from Amara."
His mind worked over time, trying to make sense of it all. He couldn’t think of any other explanation other than Lucian possibly having something to do with it.
Yet when he stared into those warm silver orbs, watching them melt into pure melancholy and anguish—he felt like he’d made the grandest mistake of all his lives combined.
