Lin Huahua finally had time to take in this new world, and she was so fascinated. Not only did they were hides.

And only ate meat. The men also had a strange marking on their arms. "So you’re saying that these markings are to show how strong you are" Lin Huahua asked Mu Qingyi with wide curious eyes.

Her white fluffy tail kept swooshing from side to side behind her. She was a bit too close to Mu Qingyi to even focus.

His eyes kept falling to her lips and he could only nod. But Lin Huahua failed to notice how shy she was making the poor deer.

"Wow, and you have three, does that mean you are really strong?" Lin Huahua tilted her head, with great focus on the arms of Mu Qingyi.

"Mmh" he gave one nod and Lin Huahua became even more excited. Feng Yiren and Hu Baiyu both had two stripes.

But Mu Qingyi has three!

And thinking about that damn peacock again he had none. That means her males were really strong!

Mu Qingyi tried to focus on roasting meat for his female. But from time to time he felt her warm breath on his arms.

He wasn’t used to Lin Huahua being this close so of course it made him a little excited.

Lin Huahua finally looked up and noticed that Mu Qingyi looked a bit flustered and she became confused.

"Hmm? Is the fire too hot, why do you look like that?" Lin Huahua leaned closer curiously.

"No-no I am fine, do you want flavors in your meat?" Mu Qingyi asked trying to hide hide embarrassment.

"Yes yes, I want flavors!" Lin Huahua became really excited and looked at the small meat Hu Baiyu was roasting.

But then he took out things that looked like wood and she immediately became confused.

"Flavors? These are flavors"

Mu Qingyi looked and saw Lin Huahua was now watching him with big curious confused eyes and he felt his heart squeeze.

His female was really too cute to handle!

"Mmh." He lifted one piece and held it up to her. "This one is moon bark," he said softly. "When it burns, the smoke becomes sweet and gentle. It makes the meat taste soft, almost like fruit. Good when you are tired."

He picked another. "This one is stone maple. The smoke is warm and smooth. It makes the meat taste rich." His voice lowered slightly. "Good when I want you to feel full."

Lin Huahua’s eyes sparkled. "And you know all this?"

"Mmh." He looked away, shy again. "I want your food to taste nice. That is all."

Lin Huahua felt her heart melt instantly. Her males were truly too good to her.

"Hmm then I want the moon bark" Lin Huahua pointed at it.

Mu Qingyi smiled satisfied that his little female was no longer crying about rice all the time.

He did not know what changed, but he was finally happy to feel an ounce of love from her.

Lin Huahua on the other hand kept staring at the ’flavors’ she had expected spice or something like that, not wood!

Maybe they only eat their meat with this so called flavors. But if she was going to be in this world she could not live liks this.

"Hey system" Lin Huahua called her system in her mind and immediately a bright screen came into her view.

"Yes princess"

"Is there anyway i can get actual spices in this world? And food too?" Lin Huahua waited expectantly.

"Yes princess, the forest is a place where you can find most spices and food to plant" 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

Lin Huahua became excited at her system’s answer, so she could eat spice foods, then what was she waiting for.

"Then I need you to get the spices here" Lin Huahua said without thinking but the system immediately dimmed as if trying to escape.

"You know as your father requests I cannot help you in the way you are thinking princess, but you males can, if there is nothing else I’ll take my leave princess!" Then the system disappeared.

"Eh—!"

Lin Huahua did not know why but she felt like this system was setting her up.

Humph since pa wants me to prove myself before he will contact me. Then I will!

The next moment the wooden door was pushed open and Feng Yiren stepped in with a much bigger prey than the one Mu Qingyi had caught.

He glanced at the way Lin Huahua was so close to Mu Qingyi and immediately felt his heart sting with jealously.

He was still skeptical of this little rat and did not trust her fully, but still he was given to her so it was only natural he felt possessive towards his female.

Lin Huahua immediately stood up with confusion "Eh why did you catch more? This one is more than enough for use to eat"

Feng Yiren glanced at Mu Qingyi with a quiet smirk, fully aware that a deer could never hunt prey this large, so of course he had to show off.

And Mu Qingyi immediately realized his fists clenched. In the past Feng Yiren rarely ever willingly hunted for Lin Huahua because of how much he dispised her.

And even though Mu Qingyi wasn’t a hunter, he forced himself to learn slowly, because he always wanted to be able to provide for his female.

Even though quite sometime had passed, Mu Qingyi still wasn’t that good at hunting. So he always brought home small preys. Which was quite impressive for a deer beastman.

His own kind even looked down on him for killing because of a female, but he did not care as far as his Hua’er was happy.

In the past the males weren’t competing with Mu Qingyi for Lin Huahua’s attention but after Feng Yiren’s display today, Mu Qingyi did not waste time in realizing he now has serious competition.

"Little demon, you’re silly aren’t you. How such a small prey fill you up?, besides I will also eat some too" Feng Yiren said smugly and walked in with the prey.

He kept the dead animal in a corner of the hut.

Lin Huahua’s cheek puffed up, she wasn’t little, she wasn’t silly and she was most definitely not a demon.

Why was this fox always so mean.

But then again does that not mean that the more meat, the more she can practice with the ingredients when she gets it from the forest!

"I want to go to the forest!" Lin Huahua said happily, but instead both males froze and immediately tensed.

Was their little female obsessed with the forest or what?
