Obsessed with a High-Ranking Esper (BL)-Chapter 322: Xiaobao starting a war
Another kiss. "No one would even notice we are gone."
Just as Yu Xi’s smile deepened, a sharp tone cut through the air. A line of communication was established, and Jian Rui’s face filled the screen, larger than life.
"What time are you getting here? Don’t be late," Jian Rui said, adjusting his collar.
Jian Ci groaned, his forehead pressing against Yu Xi’s shoulder. "This is the second time you have interrupted me. I am starting to think you’re sabotaging me on purpose."
Jian Rui chuckled, feigning innocence. "Me? Nooo." He tugged at his collar again, clearly enjoying himself.
Yu Xi laughed softly, while Jian Ci muttered under his breath, plotting revenge for his brother’s impeccable timing.
He leaned back, exasperated. "Stannis, can you at least stop him from bothering me? If you do that, I will accept you as my brother-in-law."
Stannis, who was bringing Jian Rui’s jacket, smirked. "Sure."
Jian Rui turned sharply, glaring at him. Stannis instantly changed his tune, his voice dripping with devotion. "I was wrong, my love."
But as soon as Jian Rui turned away, Stannis raised his thumb discreetly, signaling to Jian Ci that he had his back. Jian Ci smiled, amused. Jian Rui instantly caught on. He picked up a box of tissues from the dresser and tossed it at Stannis.
Stannis caught it smoothly. "What? I didn’t do anything."
Jian Rui narrowed his eyes. "And you two, don’t be late."
Yu Xi’s voice was calm, reassuring. "Don’t worry, we won’t be."
"Good," Jian Rui said, before hanging up.
Jian Ci ruffled his hair, groaning. "Little Xi, do we really have to go?"
Yu Xi’s lips curved into a sly smile. "If you go, I will let you do that thing you wanted to do."
Jian Ci’s eyes widened, sparkling. "Really?"
Yu Xi nodded. "As long as you are quick."
"I will be fast," Jian Ci promised, dropping to his knees and sliding closer.
Yu Xi laughed, half scandalized. "Really? Here? Can’t we go to the bedroom—" His words cut off into a gasp, his breath stolen, leaving him speechless.
Meanwhile, Jian Rui glanced at Stannis through the reflection. "Have you thought about it clearly?"
Stannis helped him into his jacket, his voice steady. "I have thought about it clearly."
Jian Rui’s tone was grave. "You might not be able to hold your title as Marshal if you become my Empress."
Stannis stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Jian Rui from behind. His voice was low and unwavering. "As long as I can be with you, I will sacrifice everything."
Jian Rui met his gaze in the mirror, his eyes softening. "But I don’t want you to sacrifice anything for me. I just want you to have both."
Stannis kissed his cheek, his words a vow. "But given the choice to choose one, I will always choose you. I love you."
Jian Rui raised his hand, reaching back to stroke Stannis’s hair, his heart tightening with both love and fear.

The coronation was being livestreamed across Virelia, every corner of the empire tuned in. The live feed panned toward Jian Wei, who stood with a serious expression, his posture rigid, his eyes scanning the hall.
A barrage of comments flooded the screen:
"Seventh looks so divine!"
"Marry me, Seventh!"
"Ahhhh, so handsome!"
Jian Wei had no idea he was being drooled over. His mind was focused entirely on the ceremony, alert in case someone tried something.
But soon, those comments vanished. The culprit was angrily tapping at her floating screen, blocking everyone. When Xiaobao had asked Jian Wei for a back door into StarNet, he never imagined she would use it to block his admirers.
The live feed shifted, panning to Jian Ci, who had just arrived. As always, he wore a big smile, radiating the energy of a loyal big dog. But this time, his immaculate hair had stray strands out of place, and he was licking his lips like he had just eaten something delicious.
The comments shifted instantly:
"Tenth, husband!"
"Marry me, Tenth!"
"So hot!"
Xiaobao sneered. "This is a coronation, not a dating show. Blocked."
Just as she was blocking people, Jian Ci’s grabby hand slid to the lower back of the person beside him. The person smacked his hand away discreetly, but Jian Ci’s smile only brightened, as if he hadn’t just been reprimanded.
The comments exploded again:
"Who is this vixen who stole my man?"
"Isn’t he an esper?"
Trolls swarmed: "Like father, like son. Disgusting. Shameful."
Xiaobao’s face twisted with rage. "I know where you live, you psychos!" she shouted, blocking like a maniac.
Eros, who had just returned, raised a brow. "What are you doing?"
Xiaobao laughed evilly. "Starting a war... on StarNet, of course."
Eros sighed, rubbing his temples. "Carry on. Just don’t go too far."
Xiaobao smiled sweetly, like a little angel. "I won’t."
But the moment she turned back to her screen, her face hardened. Eros, "..."
She blocked and doxed every single person who dared criticize her brother and Jian Ci’s relationship.
Soon, the barrage of comments was clean and peaceful, filled only with praise and admiration.
But elsewhere, in a dark corner of StarNet, a forum began to form, a refuge for those who had been blocked or doxxed. They cried censorship, claiming the new Imperial Lord was evil.
They had no idea who they had truly provoked and it wasn’t Jian Rui.

The coronation of Jian Rui was unlike any ceremony Virelia had ever witnessed.
His garments were woven with threads of gold, each stitch shimmering under the pale light of the Hollow Sun. The robe was heavy, embroidered with sigils of protection and authority, its long sleeves trailing like banners of destiny. The fabric carried the weight of centuries, yet Jian Rui wore it with quiet dignity.
He walked alone, barefoot and blindfolded, across the scarred earth of the bomb’s crater. Each step was deliberate, pressing against the soil that had once been torn apart by fire during the Great Rift War. Above him stretched the sky that had borne witness to that devastation, now vast and silent, as if holding its breath for the new era.
