After this encounter with the stone golems, the ladies next came across a dozen or so steel golems. They were quite powerful and because they had a more flexible body than the stone ones, defeating them was quite a bit harder.

As the ladies were fighting these golem, while still throwing her spells at them, Aurora started to teach Ren in the middle of a battle regarding the presence of quite strong enemies here on the very first floor.

"Ren, this dungeon had not been visited by anyone for decades if not centuries. So the mana particles inside it had gathered continuously and the mana density had become very high.

The strength of a monsters in the dungeon depended on many different factors and mana density is one of them. In a mana dense dungeon, the strength and the numbers of the monsters found there will most probably be greater than other dungeon of similar kind.

That is also the reasons why the monsters in this dungeon have such high numbers and strength. But after we are done clearing them once, the danger level of this dungeon will go down to the same level as a normal medium grade one."

Ren nodded his head after hearing this. He was always interested in verious things like this about this world, so he was really glad that Aurora took her time to explain this to him even when she was busy with a battle.

In the first floor of this dungeon, they came across more stone and steel golems but fortunately, none of the other groups were as large or as strong. So they were taken care of in a very short period of time.

The ladies also found a large door, which according to their speculations would lead to the boss chamber of this floor.

Which floors would have boss chamber varied widely depending on the dungeon. Some put a boss chamber in every floor while some of the dungeons had a boss chamber every 5 or 10 floors. It looked like this dungeon was the first type.

Still, the ladies did not enter the boss chamber immediately. They first made sure to explore most of the first floor and only then they were ready to leave it.

As everyone went inside the boss chamber, Ren suddenly found himself in the middle of a battle arena. The ladies had not been separated from each other and Ren. So they were still in the formation.

In front of the ladies, the figure of a stone golem appear. But this stone golem was completely different from the previous ones that they had seen.

This golem was exceptionally large, about 30 meters tall. And the stone that created it’s body was also special. It was resistant to both physical and magical attacks.

As Ren looked at this towering giant monsters with wonder in his eyes, the ladies started to fight. As for how they were going to bypass it’s physical and magical resistances, the best and the simplest solution was to use brute force methods. And the ladies here were more than capable of doing this.

But they did not take this approach this time. Instead. They used a very well thought out idea to defeat this boss in a short amount of time.

The idea itself was quite simple. If the resistances of this golem was super high, then the ladies just needed to bring it down. So all the mages started to cast debuffs on this golem.

The main weakness of this golem was it’s super slow speed. So the ladies took advantage of that to make the defense of this golem super fragile. Next immediately the attackers and damage dealers tore into it and defeated it in a very short amount of time.

Even though this opponent was the strongest that the ladies had faced in this dungeon, this battle was super easy for them. With a proper strategy, people would manage to accomplish everything that they wished. That was what Ren learnt about after seeing and understanding this battle.

As soon as the boss of the first floor was defeated, the stairs leading to the second floor appeared before them. But the ladies did not immediately went down using it.

Instead they held a simple and quick discussion and break at the same time. After the defeat of the boss, this boss chamber had became something like a safe zone, so the ladies were perfectly free to chat about verious matters, rest and discuss more strategies here.

Ren had nothing to contribute here but he was still doing his best to listen to them properly. He was learning a lot from just listening.

After the ladies had rested up and were again in their top form, they entered the second floor.

All the ladies had expected the first and the second floor to be similar in design but was not the case at all.

The first floor was very simple, slightly modified cave like structure while the second floor looked like a castle.

As for the enemies they were going to face here, it appeared as soon as the ladies reached the second floor.

The enemies here were also golem but special ones. They were also steel golems according to Aurora but they looked like moving armours.

These moving armour steel golems were even capable of using various warrior’s battle arts, which made them a tough opponent to defeat.

Even though they were also technically steel golems, the ones in the second floor were several times stronger than the ones who were in the first floor.

Fortunately, these moving armour golems had a very limited numbers. No where near as numerous as the stone and steel golems in the first floor. So the ladies actually had an easier time with them.

But as they went further in, even stronger opponents started to appear. The same magic armour steel golems started to have magic weapons and their armours also started to become enchanted. This immediately made them way more dangerous enemies.

But the ladies were not actually worried about the strength of these moving armour steel golems. Even with the power boost from enchantments, they were still barely C rank monsters. So no matter how many hundreds or thousands of them attacked, the ladies would be able to defeat them.

So, what actually worried the ladies was about how these moving armour steel golems were moving. It was very clear that they were moving with purpose and had some strategy in mind.

But these golems were definitely without a doubt life less and had no intelligence to speak of. They only moved based on the instructions that they were given during the time of their creation.

This could only mean that there was a monster in this floor that was controlling these golems as puppets and were attacking the ladies. A monster like this was quite dangerous so the ladies definitely needed to be careful about it.

This team of the ladies was quite well balanced but they did lack one thing. It was a proper thief or scout who would be good at detection and investigation.

Normally the mages of the party substituted for this role with their magic spell and the mages here had also done the same. But the stealth capabilities of this puppeteer of the second floor was quite good, so the mages had failed to detect it.

Still they did not give up, while continuing to defeat any opponents who blocked their way, they started to discuss about a way to lure the puppeteer out.

After a little bit of back and forth about various ideas, one Idea given by the Petra was chosen and implimented to lure the puppeteer out.
