Chapter 238: Night at the Mansion -8

"I’m giving you an opportunity..." Buck paused, and sighed "Have it your way then,"

He charged at Yohan, but this time something was different. His body was bent downwards from the start.

’It’s obvious that he’s going for my legs’ Yohan thought, ’He’s probably trying to pull the same move as he did before’

Yohan could see it coming from a mile away, his past fighting experiences had sharpened his fighting instincts to this extent.

Even now he could tell just from the way his body was positioned exactly which point he was heading for, all he needed to do was adjust accord–

’Wait’

He could see it so clear, like Buck wasn’t even trying to hide it.

’This is the same feeling I felt back then...’ Yohan recalled his last spar with Jenna. The only time he could see her move so clearly like this was...

’A FEINT’

Buck changed direction at the last minute, sending his fist straight forward, steam following behind it like a missile.

The speed and power behind this punch was nothing like the others. It came so fast that even though Yohan managed to predict it at the last minute he almost couldn’t dodge it.

The fist grazed past his face by just a few inches, he could even feel the heat from his body.

’Shit!’ Yohan thought, as he slipped under his arm ’I almost got taken out again’

"You managed to dodge that?" Buck said, sounding more than a little bit impressed.

"I was starting to think you had no actual fighting skill but it seems like I was wrong about you, I’ll have to get serious,"

Steam covered his body like an engine as she spun around with the most deadly punch known to man.

Once again Yohan was saved by his quickness, but now Buck’s fighting style had changed. He was constantly mixing feints into his attacks making it difficult for Yohan to keep up.

For the first time in a long time Yohan was starting to feel powerless.

His opponent was only gaining the upper hand as the fight went on, and he had no way to deal any actual damage to him.

’I have to think, think Yohan, think!’ he pushed himself, the pressure of the fight getting even more intense.

With his attention fully focused on this tank of a man, Yohan started to notice small tells. This wasn’t like when Buck purposely telegraphed his move to try and trick him, this time it was like his Meridian Tell was actively helping him see through Buck’s move.

’By analyzing his muscle tension, plus his breathing rhythm and micro-tremors along his Meridian line, I can see everything...’

He wasn’t kidding, he could actually see every single movement Buck was going to make, down to the twitch of a finger.

This development changed the flow of the fight in an instance, Yohan was dodging even more smoothly now. He would react to Bucks attacks like he knew what he was going to do before he even thought of it.

’Now all I have to do is go in for the finish’ Yohan thought, putting all his strength into a punch and striking him right at the center of his abdomen.

The force rippled through his body and was absorbed by his compacted muscles.

He stood there unfazed, like the attack had never even happened.

So far he had also been noticing Yohan’s growth throughout the fight and was starting to get a bit worried but it seems like it was all for nothing... or so he thought.

Buck stood confidently in front of Yohan, he didn’t even bother raising a guard anymore. This was the opportunity Yohan had been waiting for.

He put all his strength into another punch, this time heading straight for the face.

The blow smashed into Buck’s chin, sending the massive man crashing to the ground. Yohan figured that his face was the place with the least amount of muscles so it was definitely his weakest point.

Everyone knew a clean hit like that could knock almost any man out.

Almost.

Buck wasn’t almost any man.

Even that punch wouldn’t keep him down for long. To truly hurt him, Yohan would need to repeat it countless times, and he didn’t have the time.

Instead, he quickly dropped down and slid behind Buck’s hunched form. Before the larger man could recover, Yohan wrapped his arm around Buck’s thick neck from behind, locking his other hand over his own wrist for leverage.

All he needed was a few seconds.

Just long enough.

’Here we go’

Yohan’s muscles screamed as he tightened his grip. Veins bulged along his arm as he pushed himself to the limit, tightening and squeezing.

Buck began to struggle.

His massive hands shot up, gripping Yohan’s forearm with crushing force. The pressure was immense—Yohan could feel his bones creaking under the grip.

’Just hold on’ Yohan told himself, gritting his teeth against the pain. ’Don’t let go’

Buck thrashed violently, his body bucking like a wild animal. He tried to stand, his legs pushing against the ground with tremendous force, but Yohan wrapped his own legs around Buck’s torso, using his entire body weight to keep him down.

Steam began pouring off Buck’s skin in waves. The heat was intense—like holding onto a furnace. Yohan’s arm was burning, his skin turning red from the contact.

’I can’t... I can’t hold this much longer!’

Buck’s struggles grew more desperate. He threw his weight backward, slamming Yohan into the ground. Once. Twice. The impacts drove the air from Yohan’s lungs, but he refused to release his grip.

The choke was working. It had to be.

Buck’s movements were becoming sluggish. His iron grip on Yohan’s arm loosened slightly. The steam coming off his body started to dissipate.

"Come... on..." Yohan gasped, squeezing even harder, his entire arm trembling from the effort.

Buck made one final attempt to stand, his body lurching upward—

Then he slumped.

His arms dropped to his sides. His breathing became shallow and even.

Yohan held the choke for three more seconds, just to be sure, before finally releasing his grip and rolling away.

He lay on his back, gasping for air, his arm throbbing with pain.

Buck was out cold.

He sat up, and was just about to let out a sigh of relief when he heard a bone chilling voice.

"I knew you were hiding here somewhere," Kai Lu said as he stepped outside the house.
