Chapter 223: Training with Jenna

Yohan followed Chloe to a quiet courtyard where they wouldn’t be disturbed.

’I wonder what she wants to talk about...?’

Walking behind her, he couldn’t resist following the movement of her ass. It looked tight inside her leggings, but he still noticed a small ripple with every step that she took.

’What if that’s what she wants to talk about?’ He blushed slightly as he imagined her begging for them to get back together.

’If that happens, I’ll try not to say yes immediately. I should let it drag out for more than a few days... but it would be difficult to resist such an ass’ he shook his head, already defeated.

They sat on one of the benches.

"Yohan, thanks for following me out here," she said softly. "I was worried you wouldn’t even want to hear me out after everything I said,"

"It’s no problem," he replied.

"Okay..." she paused, then joined her hands together and bent her head down.

"Please help me prepare for the midterm assessment performance"

"Huh?" Yohan’s brow raised in shock.

"It’s been difficult trying to keep up with the professor, if a miracle doesn’t happen I’ll definitely fail out of this class and I really don’t want to. So I decided to try asking for help,"

"So that’s what you wanted," Yohan sighed, a bit disappointed.

"Yes," she answered, "I know I told you to stay away from me when you first arrived but I don’t have anyone else to ask and you are literally the assistant instructor... I’ll understand if you don’t want to do it because of how I treated you..."

"It’s fine, I’ll help you out," Yohan cut in.

He almost couldn’t believe he was hearing these words from Chloe. He never imagined that a day would come when she would be the one apologizing to him.

Either way, he definitely couldn’t turn her away, especially now that he needed her help with Freddie’s situation.

"You will?" She asked excitedly before diving him with a hug, "Thank you Yohan,"

"It’s fine honestly," he replied as they separated. "All these years I never knew you were actually interested in college like this,"

"Me too actually," she said, "After I left the shop I just couldn’t get any good job because I didn’t have a degree. It first started off as a random suggestion, but my sister really supported the idea so I ended up here,"

Hearing her mention her sister brought back a wave of pleasurable memories, but he quickly returned his attention.

"Theater art didn’t seem that difficult so.i joined, but now this class is making life difficult for me,"

"Don’t worry about it, I’m sure you just need to understand the concept, everything will be easier to learn from there," he gave her a reassuring smile.

"You know..." Yohan paused, "I was actually thinking of also asking you for a little favor,"

"What is it?" She asked, staring at him curiously.

"I need you to make out time tomorrow night, so you can hang out in a bar,"

She pulled back a bit, "Yohan... I don’t want to go out on a date with you, if that’s why you agreed to help me then–."

"I never said that it was a date," he sighed, "It’s actually more complicated than that..."

He explained everything to Chloe... at least the parts she needed to know, it was enough to roughly inform her about the full extent of Freddie’s dealings.

"Why haven’t you gone to the police with this?!" Her hand flew to her mouth as a horrified look flashed across her face. "There are people’s lives in danger here, your life could also even be in danger,"

"You think I don’t know this?" He replied, "I can’t go to the police without any evidence, and that’s why I need you to help me find the people behind it,"

"These people are taking advantage of unsuspecting girls, we can’t let them get away with that," he added

Chloe considered it for a little while longer. "Okay, I’m in. What do you want me to do?"

After he finished with Chloe, he headed to the sports building. Jenna was already waiting inside the training hall.

"Did anything happen with Lady Izumi yesterday?" she asked the moment Yohan stepped in.

"H–Huh...?" Yohan almost choked on his own spit.

"N–No. Why would you suddenly ask something like that?" He did his best to keep his voice steady, though the words nearly tangled on his tongue.

It wasn’t like he could deny it if Izumi had already told her everything.

"She came back acting strange," Jenna said, her brows knitting together. "She wouldn’t tell me what happened, so I figured I’d ask you. Did Freddie—or anyone else—try to do something to her?"

"If that’s what you’re worried about, then nothing happened," Yohan replied quickly. "I didn’t let her out of my sight for most of the night."

Only then did he finally exhale in relief.

’She should be fine. Izumi was probably just embarrassed... or overthinking things. But why didn’t she mention anything to Jenna, isn’t getting blackmailed something you would immediately tell your bodygaurd?’ he wondered.

"Okay, then," she blinked, pausing for a little bit, "We’ll officially begin your training,"

She stood a small distance away from him.

"Throw a few punches in the air," she said with her arms folded across her chest.

Yohan wondered what exactly her aim was, but he didn’t ask. Instead, he adjusted his stance and did as he was told.

’She’s probably trying to gauge my ability...

That means I have to give it everything so she understands just how impressive I am’

His fist tore through the air at an incredible speed, far too fast for a normal person to properly follow.

"Stop," Jenna called out barely a minute later. "The way you’re folding your fist is wrong. Your knuckles aren’t aligned. Keep doing that and you’ll end up breaking your own hand someday."

She stepped forward and adjusted his fingers herself. Yohan felt a flicker of embarrassment. After all that effort, he still ended up being corrected.

"Your speed and power are already good enough," she continued. "So we won’t focus on raw physical endurance. Instead, we’ll work on getting rid of the bad habits holding you back and improve your technique. Over time, we’ll increase your efficiency."

"Okay," he replied. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

Jenna then took a few steps back. "Now I want you to run from one end of the hall to the other until your body gives out."

"But... I thought you said I didn’t need any physical training?" he asked, genuinely confused.

"I’ve confirmed your power and speed," Jenna said. "Now I need to see how long your stamina can last."

Yohan glanced around the wide training hall, nearly half the size of a football field. It would take a while, but since that was what she wanted, he went along with it.

’For now, I’ll trust Jenna as my trainer’

He began sprinting from one end of the hall to the other. The distance was long enough that it felt like a real drill rather than a warm-up. Lap after lap, his breathing stayed steady, though sweat gradually soaked through his clothes.

Jenna kept her eyes fixed on him the entire time.

He kept going—and going—until she finally had to stop him. Even then, he looked ready to run a few more laps without complaint.

’No wonder he could last that long in ned’, she thought, momentarily caught off guard. ’His stamina is ridiculous’

A faint blush crept onto her cheeks before she cleared her throat and composed herself.

"I’ve confirmed your physical ability," she said. "So we’ll start properly from here."

She folded her arms and continued, "There are many different fighting techniques. Some focus on balance, drawing power from your core to maximize every punch. Others rely on constant footwork, forcing your opponent to lose track of you and creating openings to strike."

"I’d advise you to focus on the latter," Jenna said. "It’ll make the most of your abilities."

She adjusted her stance, shoulders loosening as she prepared to demonstrate.

"Watch my leg movement," she said, and then she began to shadowbox.

Her speed was impressive, even if it didn’t quite match Yohan’s. What stood out was how natural it all looked. Every motion flowed into the next, her feet never staying still, gliding across the floor as though she were dancing.

She weaved from side to side, unleashing a rapid series of jabs as she moved.

Yohan watched closely. To him, her movements seemed a bit slowed, every shift of weight and turn of the hip easy to follow, each part of her body moving in clear sequence.

When she finally stopped, he was certain he could replicate what he’d seen.

Jenna had her doubts—until he started moving.

His footwork was smooth, fluid, almost identical to hers. Watching him, she could hardly believe he’d only seen the technique once.

"It’s just like dancing," Yohan said, excitement creeping into his voice as his hand cut through the air. "You just move your body the right way, at the right time."

Even so, it made no sense to her. Those techniques were far too complex to be copied in a single session.

"There’s only one explanation," she said at last. "You don’t just have talent for fighting... you’re a fighting genius."
