Leo gently set Veladra down, his tone calm and reassuring as he explained, ’’A place to rest for the night. Let me set up the tent, and you can take a bath.’’

Veladra’s eyes widened, and a look of panic flashed across her face. ’’Do I smell?’’ she exclaimed, her voice rising in alarm as she sniffed at herself.

Leo couldn’t help but laugh at her panicked reaction, the sound warm and genuine. Shaking his head, he replied with a grin, ’’No, you don’t smell. But it’s always relaxing to have a nice bath after traveling, don’t you think?’’
