Whether it was a coincidence or not, as the three corpses were flung into the air, they arced right past Dean. Blood spattered down in droplets, enough to steal anyone's courage.

Cheston En touched the crimson blood spots on his cheek. He felt the nerve he'd built from slaughtering pigs and cattle instantly drain by seventy percent. The remaining thirty percent, sustained solely by Boss Dean's presence beside him, was all that kept him from collapsing onto the deck.

HUMMING…

As the speedboat was mechanically hoisted, a metal ladder was tossed down from above, signaling for those on board to climb.

The old man with the limp led the way, grabbing the ladder and scrambling up with surprising agility. His prosthetic limb didn't hinder him at all; he seemed even nimbler than an able-bodied person.

"Let's go," Dean patted Cheston En's shoulder, following the old man upwards.

「On the deck.」

A few people in white masks, dressed like sailors, were hosing down bloodstains. In a corner lay several bloodied game uniforms. It appeared the dead were participants, stripped before being thrown into the sea.

Behind these sailors, seven or eight men and women, wearing the same clothes as Dean, huddled together. They varied in age, both men and women among them. Under the incandescent lights, they all looked terrified and helpless, like civilians unaccustomed to such carnage.

Additionally, more than ten other white-masked individuals in sailor attire stood like statues on either side of the deck. In front of them were several armed personnel wearing skull masks.

These people shared one unsettling characteristic: they were all incredibly strong.

Unnaturally so.

The skull-masked man at the forefront was particularly striking. He stood over two meters tall; his arms, hanging to his waist like a silverback gorilla's, looked as thick as an average person's torso. His mere presence was daunting.

He must be the leader of this group, Dean thought.

Seeing Dean and the others ascend, the towering, skull-masked leader moved mechanically toward the old man. He nodded at him, then turned his gaze to the newly arrived Dean and Cheston En.

As the leader sized them up, Dean assessed him in turn. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

The man's physique was even larger than his older brother Beck's. His two almost malformed arms were long and thick, like those of a silverback gorilla wearing clothes. But the crucial detail was his eyes, visible beneath the mask—cold and vacant. When their gazes met, even a hardened individual like Dean felt a chill, as if confronting a ravenous beast.

This guy is terrifying!

He was clearly unarmed. Yet, Dean's animal-like instincts screamed warnings the moment he saw the skull-masked man, as if getting too close meant mortal danger.

This is the first time I've ever felt like this!

But how can this be possible? My physique has already started evolving beyond human! My Mastery Level in Ancient Muay Thai is the pinnacle of bare-handed combat skills. Purely in terms of unarmed combat, is there anyone in this world who can compare to me? Am I just being paranoid?

The skull-masked man retracted his lifeless gaze, seemingly having confirmed their identities. A mechanical, electronic voice issued from within the mask, "Take them to the security checkpoint."

His rank was clearly high. At his command, two sailors immediately stepped forward, gesturing for Dean and Cheston En to follow.

"Let's go," Dean patted Cheston En.

Cheston En's unease was now starkly visible on his face. His voice trembled as he said, "Boss Dean, don't you get the feeling these masked people aren't normal humans?"

Whether it was the masked sailors or the skull-masked, armed men, they were all unnaturally strong. The eyes beneath their masks were vacant, and they moved like mechanical puppets—stiff, robotic, and unsettlingly inhuman.

"Don't talk. Later, just do whatever they tell us to," Dean said, then ignored Cheston En.

It was only after boarding the ship that I understood the meaning of the letter's final sentence: The Lucifer Game Organization was never just about the game—it isn't merely a criminal organization! I suspect this group is conducting some kind of forbidden human experimentation! Only something equally inhuman could make me feel threatened now. Still, I'm not panicking. No matter how inhuman they are, they can't withstand the ultimate weapon in my Subspace. If things go south, I'll become Namaha-Gatling, rocket launcher, TNT Goliath, and liberate this whole cruise ship!

...

Following the two sailors, Dean and Cheston En arrived at a small room.

Inside the room was a single, rather complex metal passageway, similar to a security scanner but much more intricate. Beside it stood a bulky electronic device.

In front of the device sat a woman wearing a surgical mask.

Seeing them approach, the woman yawned and said in a natural voice, "Before the check, I must remind you: if you're carrying any prohibited items, hand them over now. It won't be counted as a violation. Otherwise, you'll be eliminated."

This woman... she's different from the old man and the others I've seen. She seems more like a normal person. A normal woman... of the opposite sex...

A well-rehearsed smile touched Dean's lips. "Are many people participating in this game?" he asked.

Hearing his magnetic voice, the woman narrowed her eyes. As if a weary person revitalized by coffee, she perked up, scrutinized Dean carefully, then gasped through her mask, "FK! Those bastards! To think they'd use a handsome guy like you as an experiment!"
