Chapter 913: Chapter 909: I Want a Divorce from You

When Sophie Smith drove back to the Land Family’s place, it was already past two in the morning.

She had thought that at this hour, everyone in the Land Family should be asleep, planning to quietly take Alexander away, but who would have guessed that the lights were brightly lit in the hall, and the servants were lined up as if waiting specifically for her.

Her gaze fell to the side of the sofa, where the man was holding a cigarette, surprised by her sudden entrance, leaving him no time to put it out.

Sophie just glanced at Asher Land briefly before withdrawing her gaze.

She stepped forward, heading upstairs towards Alexander’s room.

Just as her hand was about to touch the door, her body was yanked back forcefully.

"Let go." Her words were as cold as her expression.

"Alexander’s already asleep; don’t wake him tonight."

"Ha, Asher Land, are you lying to me?" Sophie raised her eyes, a mocking smile on her lips. "Didn’t Nanny Garcia say Alexander’s been crying all along?"

That was just a pretext to lure her back to the Land Family.

He said nothing.

Suddenly, Sophie wanted to confirm something with him, even though she was already certain of the truth in her heart.

"Logan Sterling didn’t want to sue Irene Morton. Did you intervene?"

In just two days, he managed to make everything watertight, ensuring Irene Morton had no worries.

Ha, he acted swiftly.

Silence equates to agreement.

Sophie shook off his hand and went to Alexander’s room, intending to take him away. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Asher Land saw her determination to leave and naturally wouldn’t allow it.

He picked her up and carried her to the main bedroom.

"Let me go! Let go!" Sophie struggled desperately, but Asher Land remained indifferent, tossing her onto the bed in the bedroom.

"What do you want?" She looked at him guardedly, like a wounded hedgehog, full of defense and rejecting his every approach.

Asher Land knew that this time, the issue with Wyatt Sterling had caused her great pain. She was so stubborn, she surely couldn’t accept such an outcome.

"Sophie..."

As he spoke, his voice was terribly dry; he truly didn’t know what he could say in front of her.

Beg for her forgiveness or pardon?

It seemed like a far-fetched idea.

"Asher Land, I want to leave here; I don’t want to see you for another moment."

Sophie closed her eyes, turning her head to the other side.

"Don’t want to see me?" He chuckled lightly, "How is that possible? Aren’t we legally married after registering?"

Indeed, they had registered.

She had forced him to do it with her persistence.

"So what if we registered?" She sneered, "We can get a divorce."

Divorce?

Asher Land’s body stiffened, and a surge of anger rose within him.

"Sophie, what did you say?" He gritted his teeth, articulating each word.

"What am I saying? Can’t you hear clearly?"

She had decided to go all out since he chose to protect Irene Morton; they weren’t on the same side anymore.

"I said, Asher Land, I want a divorce from you!"

Not anyone could push her this far, especially when they had only just registered a few days ago, and now she was demanding a divorce.

"Ha, you call the shots, registering and then divorcing; Sophie, what do you take me for?"

She could hear the anger in his voice, but so what? Was she supposed to yield to him once again?
