Chapter 804: Chapter 800: He’s the One Who Didn’t Want Me to Take Him, So How Is That My Fault?

He habitually wrapped his arm around her slender waist, his large hand gently caressing her lower abdomen.

"Asher Land, that’s enough..." Sophie Smith was already very sleepy, but someone was not willing to let her go and kept fooling around.

"Our son is here, I’m not going to do anything to you." Asher Land said nonchalantly.

Sophie closed her eyes, forcing herself not to think about anything too chaotic.

Sleep, sleep...

...

In the morning, they were awakened by Alexander’s surprised shout.

"Uncle, why are you sleeping here?" Alexander could hardly believe his eyes, did this bad uncle come to bully Mommy again last night? Clearly, before he went to sleep yesterday, this uncle wasn’t here, so why did he wake up to find him in his and Mommy’s bed? It’s just too weird.

"Good morning." Asher Land lazily leaned against the bed’s headboard, looking down at the little guy, the corners of his mouth curling into a smile.

"Good morning? Seriously!" Alexander glared at him with his round eyes, "Mommy, tell me, how did Uncle get in here?"

"Of course, it’s because your mommy missed me and opened the door to let me in."

Alexander shook his head vigorously, with a look of disbelief.

"Mommy, Uncle is lying, right? You didn’t let him in."

Sophie shook her head helplessly; she felt it was best not to get too involved in the matters between these father and son.

"Mommy..." Alexander wanted to say more, but Asher Land cast a sharp glance his way.

"If you don’t want to sleep, go to the living room; your mommy and I still want to sleep a bit longer."

"Sleep? What for? I’m about to be late for school..."

Asher Land was at a loss for words and glanced at the time on the wall; it seemed it really wasn’t early anymore.

"Well, um..." Sophie suddenly thought of something feasible, "uh, Asher Land, I have to rush to the office this morning to meet with the new movie’s director and lead actor, so I might not have time to take Alexander to school, could you please..."

"No way!" Alexander replied firmly, it seemed he knew what Sophie was about to say.

"Even if you didn’t want me to take you, I wasn’t eager to either." Asher Land huffed coldly, looking a bit awkward.

"Alexander, stop fussing, Mommy has something to do this morning, and I forgot to tell Aunt Julia yesterday. If you keep dawdling, this would be your second time being late this month." Sophie gently coaxed in Alexander’s ear.

"Asher Land..." Seeing his deeply cold expression, Sophie couldn’t help but furrow her brows; no wonder Alexander was afraid to be alone with him. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

"He’s the one who doesn’t want me to take him, so how is it my fault."

"Hmph, I’d rather take the bus than let him take me." Alexander said angrily, puffing his cheeks.

"Pfft!" Sophie couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

A five-year-old taking the bus to school by himself, she definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable with that, especially since Alexander had never ridden a bus before and didn’t know the way.

Sophie didn’t care anymore and pulled the two of them, the big and the small, out of bed. After helping Alexander wash up, she prepared breakfast for him to take to school.

After taking care of the little one, she then attended to the big one.

She took out a shirt for him, helped him put it on, buttoned it up, tied his tie, and even polished his shoes.

Then, she pushed the two of them into the car.

"Alright, Asher Land, quickly take Alexander to school."

"I mean, Mommy, you didn’t even ask my permission to have Uncle take me to school." Alexander pouted and grumbled.
