Chapter 759: Chapter 755: Passion in the Dark Night (8)

Nolan Davis looked at the small figure under the blanket, his lips curved into a gentle smile.

He quietly exited the room, closing the door behind him.

He walked to the sofa in the living room, took out his phone, and dialed Sophie Smith.

"Not asleep yet?" He glanced at the time on the wall; it was indeed quite late.

"I’m sorry, Mr. Davis, I’ve troubled you so much today..." Sophie spoke with guilt, "I had an event tonight, so..."

"It’s alright." Nolan interrupted her; he didn’t want to hear her polite words.

"Alexander said he wants to stay here tomorrow. Do you have time? If you do, come over for dinner. You’ve started to get busy with work; it’s a rare weekend, you should spend it with Alexander, otherwise,..." Nolan paused for a moment, but then continued, "otherwise Alexander might think he doesn’t have a father, and that his mother doesn’t love him anymore."

Sophie froze; would Alexander really think that way? Her heart felt heavy.

"Okay, I’ll come over tomorrow."

"Mm, goodnight."

Sophie stared at the dimmed phone screen with a moment of helplessness. She didn’t think much more, placed the phone on the table, and decided to take a bath.

The whole day had left her feeling exhausted.

She slipped out of her slightly creased dress and stood in front of the mirror.

Her curvaceous figure looked particularly graceful under the warm yellow light of the bathroom.

She looked at the marks on her chest and thighs, faintly furrowing her brows.

She was certain that the one involved with her in the private room tonight was Asher Land, because judging by the ’method’ he used on her, it was just like before.

She shook her head and stepped into the bathtub.

She leaned her head against the edge of the bathtub, closed her eyes, seemingly trying to recall his scent from today, ...

Eva Miller didn’t quite believe it either; she met Asher Land, but just from the feeling when that man occupied her body, she knew she wouldn’t mistake him.

His movements were gentle, yet his innate assertiveness and dominance would not change.

...

This was one of the early weekends for Sophie Smith; thinking about the words Nolan Davis had said to her last night, she felt uneasy.

She didn’t want Alexander to think he didn’t have a father and that his mother didn’t love him.

She drove to the Davis Family villa, and Amanda pointed her in the right direction upon her arrival.

Sophie walked her way, noticing a marble round table in the garden lawn, where Alexander and Nolan Davis were sitting, playing with a racing toy set.

Alexander focused intently on assembling, and whenever he had trouble and couldn’t continue, he would turn to Nolan for help.

Nolan didn’t directly assist him, instead handing him respective parts, allowing the clever Alexander to suddenly realize.

Soon, the racing toy set was fully assembled.

"Mommy, you’re here." Alexander turned his head and saw Sophie behind him, Nolan also turned his head.

"Mr. Davis."

Sophie gave a light smile; under the sun, her smile appeared exceptionally enchanting.

"Is work busy lately?" Nolan gestured to the chair beside him for her to sit.

"It’s alright, the events are still being scheduled, so I haven’t felt very busy for now."

Sophie said frankly.

"Mommy, you chat with Uncle Davis. I won’t interrupt you." After finishing, Alexander ran off.

"Alexander, come back." Sophie was puzzled by what her son was up to—she came to the Davis Family just to see him, so what was he talking about?
