Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement-Chapter 730 - 726 Can I Call Uncle Davis Dad (Part 1)
"Is there a difference between being ten minutes late and missing a whole class?" Alexander looked up at her, "Anyway, I’m already late, so I’m not in a hurry. Mommy, you go have breakfast first."
"..." Sophie Smith was helpless. Don’t be fooled by Alexander being only five years old, he spoke with a great deal of authority, just like someone else she knew.
Sophie walked to the dining table and spent about ten minutes having breakfast.
"Alright, I’m done eating." Sophie shrugged, "Shall we go to school now?"
"Yes." Alexander nodded his little head, put down the book in his hand, and followed behind Sophie as they headed out to school together.
After dropping Alexander off at school, Sophie received a phone call from Nolan Davis.
Two years ago, Nolan successfully relocated the European Headquarters of the Davis Clan Group to Eastern City. In the past two years, the Davis Clan Group has grown rapidly in Asia, and Nolan has continued to expand the original entertainment sector of the Davis Clan Group. Besides casinos and bars, Nolan is also setting up an entertainment agency, and the blueprint for Imperial Entertainment is already being laid out.
"Hello, Mr. Davis." Sophie got back into the car, holding the phone in one hand and fastening her seatbelt with the other.
"Where did you go last night?"
"Oh, I took Alexander to stay at the Land Family for the night."
The Land Family?
Four years have passed, and he knew she still couldn’t forget Asher Land.
"Will you come over to my place tonight?" he asked tentatively.
"Yes." Sophie remembered what Alexander said last night, "Alexander mentioned he wanted to come over yesterday."
"Alright then."
Nolan hung up the phone and called Amanda over.
"Little Sophie is coming over tonight. Make sure the room is tidied up, and have the kitchen prepare some of her and Alexander’s favorite dishes."
Amanda was well aware of Nolan’s attentiveness towards Sophie, so she agreed and efficiently took care of the tasks Nolan had assigned her.
In the evening, Sophie picked up Alexander from school and went to the Davis Family.
"Uncle Davis." Alexander, without even putting down his backpack, eagerly ran up to Nolan, "You promised to teach me chess last time. No backing out."
"Does Uncle Davis look like someone who goes back on his word?" Nolan led Alexander towards the hall, "Since it’s not dinner time yet, shall we play a couple of games first?"
"Sure!" Alexander agreed enthusiastically, following closely behind Nolan.
Sophie watched the two engrossed in their chess game, not wanting to interrupt, so she joined Amanda in the kitchen to oversee the cooking.
An hour later, all the dishes were set on the table, yet Alexander was still deeply absorbed, unwilling to leave the chessboard.
"Alexander, even if you’re not hungry, your Uncle Davis is. Let’s eat first."
As expected, upon hearing "Uncle Davis is hungry too," Alexander promptly put down his chess pieces and sat at the dining table.
While eating his bowl of rice, Alexander occasionally glanced in the direction of Sophie and Nolan.
Nolan placed some food into Sophie’s bowl and served a bowl of soup in front of her.
Seeing Alexander looking at him, he served another bowl and handed it to him.
"The more soup you drink and the more rice you eat, the faster you’ll grow."
Nolan was exceedingly patient with Alexander. In Alexander’s mind, Nolan was like some sort of deity, knowing so many things—in fact, everything Alexander wanted to learn.
"Mommy, I want to ask you something." Alexander laid down his spoon and stared earnestly at Sophie.
