Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement-Chapter 629 - 625: Can She Cure His Illness? (Part 6)
Sophie Smith walked into the East Garden hall, only a few servants were bowing their heads to clean, and she did not see Irene Morton’s shadow.
Could she be in Asher Land’s room now?
To avoid another conflict with her, she decided it would be better to ask first.
"Excuse me, where is Miss Irene now?" Sophie asked a servant she randomly caught.
The servant, seeing it was Sophie, did not greet her but replied coldly.
"Miss Irene has left with Mr. Morton."
She left with Colton Morton?
"So she won’t be coming back here?"
"Not coming back?" The servant sneered, "Miss Irene is the third young master’s fiancée, how could she not return here?"
Sophie didn’t mean it that way. The servant must think she doesn’t want Irene to come back, or maybe that she wants to take Irene’s place, which is why they used a mocking tone and contemptuous eyes.
She didn’t want to overthink it, so she left the servant and went straight to Asher Land’s room.
Although the servants didn’t like Sophie, they did not stop her, after all, everyone in the Land Family knew how Asher treated her before.
Some servants just couldn’t stand it, thinking how could someone like Sophie, with no status or position, bear children for the third young master and receive so much of his affection?
Perhaps in their hearts, only a woman like Irene matched Asher’s status and was worthy of being their Young Madam.
...
Sophie gently pushed open the door, and the room had a strong smell of medicine.
Asher Land lay quietly on the bed, completely unaware of her arrival.
In just a few days, he looked much thinner, his face pale like a sheet of paper, with an IV drip needle in the back of his hand, medicine flowing into his body.
Luke Land said he had been continuously feverish for several days. She approached him, and with her somewhat chilled hand, felt his forehead, finding that the temperature was indeed alarmingly high.
"Asher Land..." she frowned, her eyes showing distress, "You’re an adult, how could you let yourself catch a cold and get sick."
She hadn’t been in the room for long when the door suddenly opened. She thought it was Irene, which startled her, making her quickly stand up and step a few feet away from Asher’s bedside. But after a closer look, it was Ace Williams bringing a little nurse over.
"Hello, Miss Smith." Ace Williams still had some impression of Sophie.
"Hello..." Sophie slightly nodded to him, considering it a greeting.
"I’m here to change the medicine for the third young master; he still needs at least three more bottles of IV drip."
After saying that, Ace Williams replaced the almost empty IV bottle for Asher and then took his temperature to confirm the situation.
"Why hasn’t the fever subsided?" Ace Williams placed the thermometer in front of his eyes for a careful look.
"Is it very serious? Is there a life-threatening danger?" Sophie recalled what Luke had said, and couldn’t remain calm. She grabbed Ace Williams’ sleeve, anxiously asking.
"Life-threatening danger?" Ace Williams chuckled lightly, "Miss Smith, you’re exaggerating. The third young master just has a fever; it’s not life-threatening."
Hearing Ace Williams say that, Sophie felt relieved. Luke must have been trying to scare her, why would she take his words seriously?
She was overly worried about Asher Land.
"Miss Smith, since you’re here, could you kindly take good care of the young master? If the IV bottle is nearly empty, could you call me downstairs? Okay?"
"No problem." Sophie replied with full seriousness.
