On Sunday afternoon, Luke Land hurriedly found Asher Land.
"What’s up?" Asher Land didn’t even look up.
Sophie Smith was forcibly sitting on his lap, feeding him food one bite at a time.
"Hey, I’m telling you, you should really restrain yourselves. What if Irene Morton or the old man sees you two being so intimate, you’ll be in trouble again!" Luke Land complained.
"No worries, I’ve only lost the use of one hand, right? I still have my right hand and both legs..."
Before Asher Land finished speaking, Sophie Smith angrily placed the bowl heavily on the table.
She didn’t want to hear him say such things at all.
Asher Land knew he had stepped on a landmine in her heart, so he wisely chose to stay silent and say nothing more.
"Do you have time this afternoon? There’s a lead on the matter. Should we go check it out?" Luke Land tentatively asked.
Asher Land’s long fingers tapped the dining table twice, and then he looked up.
"Let’s go, I’ll go change clothes first."
Asher Land got up and walked upstairs, Sophie Smith followed.
She picked out a suit for him, buttoned up his shirt, and tied his tie with meticulous attention.
"I’ll take you out for some fun," Asher Land said, lightly pinching her face.
Sophie Smith didn’t know where he was taking her but still calmly got into the car with him.
This time, there were five people: the three brothers of the Land Family, Robert Williams, and herself.
The car sped along the wide road, Sophie Smith resting her head against the window, looking dazedly at the scenery outside.
This was a land unfamiliar to her, where she lived painfully. Her son and the man she loved most were suffering to varying degrees, and she seemed to be the root of it all.
Seeing her lost in thought, Asher Land pulled her body close, letting her lean into his arms.
"What are you thinking about?"
She didn’t answer, only smiled faintly and shook her head.
The car finally stopped in front of a large casino.
"Asher Land, you said you were taking me to have fun, is this what you meant?" Sophie Smith frowned and asked.
She didn’t want to get involved in any gambling games at all.
"Yes."
"I don’t want to play."
Asher Land gently ruffled her soft hair, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"Come on, it’s fun. Let’s go in."
Seeing Sophie Smith standing at the entrance, unwilling to go in, he had no choice but to softly coax her.
"If you don’t go in, I’ll leave you outside, and you’ll have to walk back." Luke Land said, annoyed by her demeanor.
"Luke Land, getting brave, are we?" Asher Land shot a sharp glance, making Luke Land shiver again.

Sophie Smith looked at the two brothers strangely, still unclear about what they were saying.
A waiter came out to guide them and led them to an SVIP private room.
As the private room door opened, Sophie Smith was startled by the scene inside, and she took two steps back. Asher Land held her waist, pulling her back immediately.
