No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 35 Louis Snyder Joins The Team
Louis Snyder is not like the original Hannah Winter; he comes from a tough background. His mother passed away when he was young, leaving him with an alcoholic and abusive father. Perhaps because of this, he learned how to wear a mask.
From the moment he first saw the lust in people’s eyes for his handsome face, he learned to use his looks to benefit himself.
He never attended college, hardly read any books, and signed with an agency while still underage. He somehow managed to evade various unspoken rules in the industry, but this also meant he never got a good opportunity.
Until he met Hannah when he was nineteen.
She was the stupidest woman he had ever met in the entertainment industry, someone he could easily manipulate without much effort or deception.
"Does acting tire you out?" Hannah raised her hand, wanting to pat the young man’s head, but he subtly avoided her touch in the next second.
She could only retract her hand, awkwardly clasping it behind her back.
Hannah Winter heavily depended on Louis Snyder, especially after she was abandoned by George River. Every time she saw the young man who shared similar features to George, she couldn’t help but please him.
Just like how she used to ingratiate herself with George River.
The young man turned his head towards her. His eyes, unusually clear and innocent, still held some naive traits of adolescence. However, his tone was unusually serious, "Sister, I really enjoy acting."
"That’s good then." Hannah sighed in relief, "I heard that you got into the ’Falling Spring’ crew. How is it? Do you enjoy working there?"
Hannah didn’t hold much hope that Arnold Simmons would remember her request, but she was also not planning on trading her body to Oliver Taylor for a supporting role like the original Hannah Winter did in the plot.
She has a hundred ways to make the plot more dramatic, but it definitely doesn’t include that.
Surprisingly, the outcome was beyond her expectations. Regardless of whether the person pulling strings behind the scenes was Arnold Simmons or Oliver Taylor who was led astray by lust that night, at least she achieved her goal.
However, it seems that after getting into the crew by pulling strings, Little White has been having a tough time. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have called her over whenever he had time.
As she suspected, everything was indeed just as bad.
’Falling Spring’ was a major production, and a nameless artist suddenly came out of nowhere. Naturally, there would be people in the crew who were unhappy, especially since this role had been booked for someone else.
"Life in the crew..." The look in Louis’s eyes suddenly flickered, and the smile at the corner of his mouth was purposefully bitter, "It’s great."
"Really?" Hannah frowned.
Louis was on the brink of a breakdown.
No, of course not.
From the first day he joined the crew, he was targeted by a group of people. Not only was he deliberately overshadowed during filming, but the actor originally cast in his role had to settle for a minor role because of him.
Whenever the two of them had scenes together, that actor would always be against him and even instigate others in the crew to target him. The injuries he sustained were also a result of a supposed accident with the props.
Only then did the director give him two days off.
"Really, sister." The young man’s words were firm, but his tone was filled with sorrow, his voice bitter.
But Hannah pretended not to understand, and a smile bloomed on her face, "That’s good, Louis, since you’re on break, I’ll cook some food for you. You used to love the braised pork I made, didn’t you?"
With that, Hannah cheerily headed into the kitchen.
