Chapter 1650: Chapter 1650 Arnold Simmons Extra (16)

Arnold Simmons, although about the same age as them, was obviously much more mature due to his upbringing and the experiences he had encountered.

Originally, Arnold thought that once he found the people he was looking for, his life would get a bit better, but who knew...

A few of them were discussing going to that internet café tonight for some online gaming. They used to always go to the one behind Willow Lane, but a while back, two students from the vocational school got into a fight there which alarmed the teachers, and as a result, the internet café was also ordered to be rectified.

"The stubborn old geezers at No. 1 Middle School are kind of annoying. Not satisfied with spoiling their own students, they even interfere with the vocational school students."

"You’re telling me. That bald-headed head teacher from No. 1 Middle School even took his early romance inspections onto the public buses. He caught several vocational school students, and had they not had their school badges on, I bet he would’ve dragged them back to the No. 1 Middle School office."

"Amazing, what is No. 1 Middle School, a prison? So strict."

They chatted as they walked along.

Arnold touched the lighter in his pocket absentmindedly.

None of the group noticed Hannah following behind them all this time.

Quiet as a mouse, she tread without making a sound.

It was only when they were about to cross the street that Francis Evans spotted her.

Among a group of boys who were all over 1.8 meters tall, Hannah appeared particularly petite, especially in her school uniform and with a backpack on her shoulders, looking even more obedient.

Her eyes were as pure as the first snow.

Francis, encountering this situation for the first time, didn’t know what to say and could only pat Arnold on the shoulder, "Arnold, is she looking for you?"

Arnold, who had been irritably staring at the road ahead, turned around with an undisguised chill in his demeanor, "You... what are you doing here?"

Her tone shifted abruptly, and the others around didn’t catch on immediately.

Hannah bent her lips into a sweet smile, but there was a touch of grievance in her eyes, "I came to find you. Didn’t you see me from across the street just now?"

Arnold choked, lying without a change in his expression, "Didn’t see you."

The young girl seemed to breathe out in relief, her face wearing an ’I knew it’ expression.

"Are you guys going to hang out?" she glanced at the few people around Arnold.

This street was never bustling to begin with, and it had become even quieter once the students left. Even the few shops on the street had closed their doors, leaving only the dim yellow streetlights reluctantly illuminating the empty road.

Under the dark light, Arnold could clearly see her bright black eyes, "No, we are heading home."

"You all live together?" Hannah was surprised.

Arnold cracked a half smile, "Not exactly, we just happen to live on the way."

Hannah nodded, asked no further, and started fiddling with her backpack strap, "Then I won’t disturb you guys. I’ll head back."

She waved to the others.

The guys were momentarily stunned, until Francis was the first to snap out of it and nudged the person next to him who was still gazing in a daze, "Goodbye, goodbye."

Arnold only thought for a few seconds before stepping forward to grab Hannah’s backpack strap.

He seemed to particularly enjoy holding onto her like this.

"I’ll walk you home." The boy said nonchalantly, one hand in his pocket.

He walked ahead, and after a momentary pause, Hannah followed his steps.

"Why did you suddenly decide to walk me home?"

"No good?"

"Sure, it’s just that I’m worried about how you’ll get back by yourself later," she said, a bit concerned.

Arnold was almost amused by her worry, "How will I get back? I’ll walk back with my feet."

The two walked off into the distance.
