No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1644 Arnold Simmons Extra (10)
"I live alone, my family is all in Capital City."
After saying that, she released the hem of Arnold Simmons’ clothes she had been holding onto.
Turning left and right down the street, a little further in was the noodle shop Hannah had mentioned. There weren’t many people in the noodle shop at this time, and they didn’t even have to queue.
Hannah looked up at the sign.
The sign was the same as two years ago, even the prices hadn’t changed.
"One bowl of beef noodles," she said, taking out her phone to pay.
Suddenly, a shadow cast over from behind, the young man’s tall figure just blocking the QR code mounted on the wall.
"Weren’t you supposed to treat me to lunch?" He stepped forward, also looking up at the sign as if seriously choosing.
Hannah put down her phone, remembering what she had just said, feeling a bit embarrassed, "Then you choose, and I’ll pay together."
Arnold Simmons smiled, walked to the front window, and bent down to speak to the chef inside: "One bowl of beef noodles, the same as hers."
The chef inside responded, "Okay, that’ll be 36 yuan."
Hannah then took out her phone again.
But this time, before she could scan the code, Arnold Simmons had already paid, "This one is on me."
The shop wasn’t very spacious, with only four tables by the wall. Fortunately, no one else was there at this time, so Arnold Simmons chose a seat near the entrance, his loosely slung backpack tossed to one side.
It felt soft, as if it were an empty backpack.
Hannah walked over, thought for a moment, and still chose to sit opposite him, "Shall we add each other as friends?"
Arnold Simmons looked up at her, smiled lazily, "To pay me back?"
"I said this time it’s my treat." Hannah took out her phone, opening the "Add as a friend" QR code.
Arnold Simmons looked down, didn’t move, "This time let me treat you, as an apology."
Hannah touched her nose, her voice muffled, "Apology for what?"
"Just now," Arnold Simmons thought for a bit, leaned back against the chair, smiling casually, "I think I made a little girl angry."
"Did you?"
Hannah pretended not to understand, her smile innocent and guiltless, even more dazzling than the sunlight outside. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Arnold Simmons was about to speak again when the chef cooking the noodles called out, "Two students, your beef noodles are ready."
Hannah hurriedly got up and walked over.
Though the noodle shop wasn’t very large, it had been open for a long time and the food tasted really good. Usually, many students and nearby residents would come here to eat.
Arnold Simmons ate elegantly, hardly making a sound, but his speed was not slow, and he quickly finished his bowl of beef noodles.
Seeing him eat so quickly suddenly made Hannah anxious.
Swallowing two bites quickly, she didn’t manage to swallow properly and instead started choking, coughing till tears almost came out.
Arnold Simmons laughed, stood up to buy her a bottle of water, and loosened the cap before handing it over to her, "What’s the rush? No one is competing with you."
The cold water soothe her throat, and she finally calmed down a bit.
But her eyes were still red, looking as if she had been bullied.
Arnold Simmons, in a rare good mood, teased her deliberately, "Is it that delicious that you’re about to cry? If the chef saw this, he might just reward you with another bowl."
Hannah coughed twice, unable to speak, just staring wide-eyed at him.
Arnold Simmons said amusingly, "Eat slowly, I’m not leaving."
Caught seeing through her little intention, Hannah was stunned for a moment before lowering her head and quietly eating her noodles.
