No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1639 Arnold Simmons Extra (5)
Just like the one this morning at the podium.
Cute and innocent, piercing straight into people’s hearts.
Arnold Simmons took his eyes off her and, without reacting, turned and left immediately.
Tessa Thompson’s heart skipped a beat as she patted her chest, "You scared me to death, I thought he was going to hit me just now."
"Is he very fierce?" Hannah was curious.
Tessa Thompson shook her head and then nodded, not quite sure herself.
To say he’s not fierce, nobody in the class dares to provoke Arnold Simmons, sometimes his glance alone is more effective than the teacher’s.
If you say he’s fierce...no one has really seen him fighting.
So, he must be pretty fierce, right?
For the next few classes, the seat behind Hannah remained empty; Arnold Simmons did not return. It seemed like everyone, even the subject teachers, treated his absence as though he wasn’t there.
The last class was Chemistry.
Probably because Oscar Evans had given a heads-up, the Chemistry teacher called on Hannah first.
One reason to get to know her, and another to see if Hannah, who had won first place in the national Chemistry competition, was really as outstanding as said.
The blackboard featured the grand finale question discussed today; less than ten people in the entire grade got the correct answer.
Seeing Hannah called upon, Tessa Thompson was somewhat worried and silently asked her: "Hannah, can you handle it?"
The teacher was watching, Hannah couldn’t speak, but just gave her a smile and nodded slightly.
Be assured, how could a woman say she can’t.
Somehow, that sentence popped up in Tessa Thompson’s mind, but it didn’t really match Hannah’s demure appearance.
She couldn’t help but lower her head and chuckle.
The next second she looked up, just in time to meet the "death stare" from the Chemistry teacher, Tessa Thompson quickly bowed her head and took a paper to cover herself.
Emily Jones sat at the first desk near the podium, and seeing Hannah walk up, she scoffed disdainfully.
She did not have any good feelings towards the transfer student who had taken her place as the "class beauty" within just one morning.
On the blackboard, the last big question required some time to compute and during this process, other students also tried their hands at it.
Of course, many had already chosen to give up and merely watched the board.
On the podium, the young girl held a white chalk in her right hand, and when writing at the farthest position on the blackboard she slightly tiptoed. Her writing was neat but with her own unique style.
From a distance, she did not seem as meek and harmless as she looked.
"Emily, do you think she can solve it?" a girl whispered.
Emily Jones didn’t even spare a glance, her pen leaving a thick mark on the scratch paper, "Who knows, isn’t she the first prize winner at the Chemistry competition? She probably can."
Although she said so, her tone was dismissive.
Seeing Emily Jones in a bad mood, the other girl did not press further.
About five minutes had passed, and the previously empty blackboard was now filled with densely packed solving processes.
The Chemistry teacher watched and satisfactorily nodded his head.
Seeing this, the displease in Emily Jones turned into irritation.
Hannah’s solving process was detailed and flawless, and during the subsequent explanation, the Chemistry teacher did not hide his satisfaction with her, "Everyone should learn from Hannah in the future on how to solve problems: clear handwriting, detailed process. Don’t just pile up formulas messily every time, it’s unreadable; are you testing the teacher or the teacher testing you..."
