No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1637 Arnold Simmons Side Story (3)
"The girl from before, is she a transfer student?"
"Ye... Yeah, I think so?" The boy wasn’t quite sure, after all, there was a whole building of second-year students between seniors and freshmen, so news didn’t travel that fast.
If they hadn’t followed Jimmy Simmons here to settle a score today, they wouldn’t have come to the senior side.
Jimmy Simmons glanced at him and commanded, "Go check it out."
The boy didn’t dare to be sloppy and immediately nodded, "Right away."
When Oscar Evans led Hannah to class, everyone had just quieted down. Seeing the new face behind the homeroom teacher, dozens of pairs of eyes turned to look simultaneously.
Her beauty was instantly stunning.
Smooth black hair, neat school uniform, clutching newly issued textbooks in her arms, with smiling crescents under her eyes, and the corners of her mouth curved gently. She looked very well-behaved.
Oscar Evans was afraid she might be nervous and consoled her with a few words, "Don’t worry, go up and introduce yourself."
Standing on the podium and among the orderly seats, the first thing Hannah saw was a boy sitting alone in a corner, isolated amidst a sea of noisy discussions.
She averted her gaze and smiled, "My name is Hannah, I just arrived in Sea City, and I hope to get along well with everyone, learn from each other, thank you."
Her voice was very sweet, soft and light, as if floating on clouds.
In the back row, the boy who had been slumping over his desk for a while seemed to be awakened by the noise and lifted his head briefly.
Just for a moment, then he lowered his head again, continuing to sleep.
As if he was disinterested in everything.
Hannah had barely finished speaking when thunderous applause erupted from below the podium, especially from a few boys in the front rows, clapping vigorously and excitedly.
"I told you the new girl was pretty, now you believe me, right?"
"With those looks, she can compete for school beauty, not just class beauty, right?"
"I heard the new girl’s grades are good too, ah! Feels like I’m in love again!"
The noise in the class died down, and discussions quieted as Oscar Evans pointed out a seat for Hannah.
It was the second to last seat in the last group, her deskmate a ponytailed girl with dimples when she smiled, who, upon seeing Oscar Evans point to the seat beside her, eagerly waved at Hannah.
Her round eyes were filled with excitement and happiness.
Hannah barely sat down when the girl eagerly reached out for a formal handshake and greeting, "Hello, new deskmate, I’m Tessa Thompson."
Tessa was excited about finally having a deskmate for the whole morning, wishing she could mention it even when drinking water, and enthusiastically invited Hannah to get water with her after class.
Hannah’s water bottle was slow, but she did not refuse Tessa’s kindness.
Others from her class joined, all very warm and easy to get along with.
As soon as they gathered, they started to find various topics to talk with Hannah.
"Hannah, Hannah, which school did you come from before?"
"The homeroom teacher said your grades are good, you just won a national competition prize, can I come ask you if I have problems I don’t understand?"
"The weekend is in a few days, we planned to go to the library together, do you want to come?"
Though the questions were many, none were meant with ill intent.
Hannah answered them all.
She transferred during her senior year because her previous school had moved to a new campus and enforced boarding for all students. Not comfortable with that atmosphere and environment, she chose to return to Sea City in the end.
She was born in Sea City, and from kindergarten to junior high, she studied here. Sea City was more familiar to her.
