Chapter 1613: Chapter 1613: Keep an Eye on the Person

In ancient times, emperors would lead the army into battle themselves to stabilize the military’s morale, but now, the grand First Princess, the future heir to the Empire, their guardian deity, had actually abandoned her own team and taken off.

This was simply a disgrace to their Empire.

And now, the Empire’s disgrace, Emma, was trussed up and thrown on the ground.

Even with a piece of cloth stuffed in her mouth, she was still unable to calm down, mumbling curses as if she were cursing someone, her face flushed red from effort, eyes glaring fiercely at the wanderers nearby.

Sixth Hoffman rubbed his head, "Nicholas, what do you think this princess is saying?"

"What else could she be saying." Nicholas looked thoroughly unconcerned, with a pipe hanging from his mouth, "What else could she be saying, it’s just some nasty cursing."

Upon hearing this, Sixth Hoffman was surprised.

"This princess can curse?"

Nicholas chuckled, "Someone who comes out of the Imperial Palace, how many of them can you expect to be normal?" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Sixth Hoffman pondered over this and found it made sense.

Leaving aside those dazzling power struggles, what’s most hilarious is the royal family’s propaganda about themselves, just like celebrities from the past, they create all sorts of personas for themselves.

When it comes to gossip, Gregory Lawrence was quite the expert, "This First Princess, she created the persona of a guardian deity, the propaganda said that she’s the future of the Empire, that only she can lead the Empire to new heights."

While saying this, Gregory Lawrence stepped onto a nearby stool, gesticulating with his hands as if giving a speech, perfectly imitating the speech given by the royal king a hundred years ago.

"Of course, all these are just lies to fool children, and I stopped believing them decades ago." After finishing, Gregory Lawrence jumped off the chair with a mischievous act.

Sixth Hoffman kept applauding, "Well said, well said."

Gregory Lawrence gave a gentleman’s bow, expressing his gratitude.

Hannah stood aside, hugging her sword, watching the back and forth between the two, turning her head away with speechless annoyance, but she couldn’t help curling the corners of her mouth.

"Alright, jokes aside, we still need to listen to the boss on how to deal with this princess." Nicholas tapped his pipe and summoned two men, "Go call the boss out, even if those lovebirds are so engrossed in their romance, they should watch their health and not stay in the tent all day."

The two who were summoned left, and Gregory Lawrence immediately came over with a face full of curiosity.

"They’ve been together all this time?"

Nicholas glanced at him sideways, "If you want to know, go ask the boss."

"I wouldn’t dare." Gregory Lawrence waived his hands quickly, "Even if Hannah won’t say anything, Arnold Simmons won’t let me off the hook."

Sixth Hoffman stepped forward and patted Gregory Lawrence’s shoulder, "You’re so concerned about our boss’s personal affairs, don’t tell me you’ve fallen for her too?"

Gregory Lawrence had a look of shock on his face, "Sixth Hoffman, don’t talk nonsense, if Arnold Simmons hears it I’m done for!"

Sixth Hoffman laughed at him, "Coward."

Gregory Lawrence was not to be outdone, "If you’re not a coward, go have a fight with Arnold Simmons."

"Enough, what’s all this noise." Nicholas interrupted the pointless bantering of the two, "Keep a good eye on this princess, don’t let her escape."

On the ground, Emma had gone from passionate cursing to weary defeat, yet those eyes were still filled with resentment, dense malice almost seeming to flow out like black water.

Perhaps because she’d heard Hannah’s name, she became agitated again, struggling ceaselessly.
