No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 156: You are Good
Hannah had no idea what was going on in Roy Yarn’s mind. She stood up and walked over to the boy, urging him, "Come on, hurry up."
Roy stammered, "I might step on your foot."
Hannah frowned, "Why are you talking so much?"
With that, she took the boy from his chair and led him to the dance floor, grabbed his hand and placed it on her waist, and then looked up at the shy-faced boy, "Follow my steps; understand?"
The boy obediently nodded, feeling the warmth in his palm, his face grew even redder.
Fortunately, the lighting at the ball was not bright enough for anyone to see.
Throughout the dance, Roy didn’t know where to focus his gaze. His hand on Hannah’s waist was as stiff as a piece of wood, frozen with fear of moving yet stubbornly maintaining a certain distance.
Hannah laughed at him, "You don’t seem to be dancing; you look like you’re getting punished."
All Roy did was shake his head, "No, no, we have to respect girls."
He stubbornly held onto his gentlemanly conduct to the very end, and Hannah just went along with him.
But she couldn’t help but quip, "Anyone who doesn’t know better would think I kidnapped you, and that you’re utterly annoyed with me."
The reserved boy thought she was angry and hurriedly explained, "No... I don’t... you’re very nice."
The softer his voice got, the more Hannah couldn’t hear him, only he was talking to himself, even muttering, "You’re pretty; I don’t dislike you."
Her character was just like the white cat at home, Elizabeth: lazy and prideful. If something doesn’t go its way, it might just reach out its claws and scratch you, leaving you bleeding, and then nonchalantly groom its own fur nearby.
But what can you do if it’s just too beautiful to admonish?
The more Roy thought about it, the more he couldn’t help but see the person before him and his cat as one and the same, especially her eyes when she’s angry...
While lost in thought, the boy made a careless mistake—
"Ouch!" Hannah drew a sharp breath, her eyes wide in surprise, she looked up at the boy in front of her.
Roy quickly bowed his head and meekly apologized, "Sorry, I will be careful."
Hannah pouted, choosing not to make a fuss.
Two minutes later, Hannah stormed off the dance floor, a few grey footprints still visible on her high-heeled shoes, closely followed by a boy profusely apologizing.
"Hannah, Hannah, I really didn’t mean it. Listen to me... don’t walk so fast, you might twist your foot."
As soon as he finished speaking, Hannah, who was walking ahead, stumbled and fell straight towards the ground.
Fortunately, Roy was quick to react. He rushed up to steady her and even managed to mutter, "See, I told you not to walk so fast, you..."
Hannah looked up at him, full of resentment.
Roy covered his mouth, waved his hand, and stopped talking.
Only after a while, when he had helped her to a seat, did he timidly say, "I’ll go find you a pair of flats."
After that fall, her high heels were no longer wearable.
This was undoubtedly Hannah’s most embarrassing day.
Hannah said irritably, "Go ahead."
Roy hurried away. Hannah bent over, rubbing her ankle with a tightened brow. The skin on the top of her foot was starting to turn red. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
She complained, "That guy really stepped hard. And to think I was kind enough to teach him to dance, and this is how he repays me..."
