Chapter 120: Chapter 120 Remember to Miss Me

Hannah furrowed her brows, a layer of dew forming in her eyes until they resembled clear pools. She looked pitiful as she argued, "My foot really does hurt. Whether you believe me or not, I can’t walk."

She clung to the man with a playful stubbornness, hands wound tightly around his waist. She refused to let go, and her tears fell onto his chest.

Arnold simply let her act up in his arms, not stopping her when she wiped her tears on his shirt. Only after she was done venting, crying herself out, did he bend down to lift her from the bench. "Just this once."

Breaking into a teary smile, she nestled herself into his chest, her arms wrapping around his neck. "Yes, just this once," she agreed softly.

Of course it was just this once now, but there could be many more in the future.

Only when she got in the car did Hannah realize the backseat was piled high with folders. Fortunately, the car was spacious and didn’t feel crowded.

It seems the President of Arnold’s company was really busy as he began dealing with paperwork once he got in the car. Hannah quietly played with her phone, not disturbing him.

Arnold dropped her off at school.

After getting out of the car, Hannah took a few steps before noticing that it hadn’t moved yet. She quickly ran back and knocked on the car window.

The car window opened, Arnold having moved to Hannah’s previous seat, the distance between them instantly closed.

Resting her head on her arms, she bent over and got closer. Her warm breath and soft voice fell murmuring words into his ear.

"Mr. Simmons, remember to think of me."

The next second, warmth tinged a light, gentle kiss on his stern face, reminiscent of a stroll through the outdoors where a soft petal lightly brushes one’s cheek.

A soft, slightly moist sensation.

He watched as Hannah giggled with a hand over her mouth, with a shy voice she said, "This is my gratitude."

Before he could react, she ran off.

She waved him goodbye, then disappeared as she dashed towards her school.

So much for her complaint about her foot hurting and not being able to walk.

She ran faster than a rabbit.

Watching her disappear, his eyes expressed depth while his soft smile was barely noticeable. A faint smell still hung in the air, mildly intoxicating. He could still feel the gentle kiss on his cheek.

He let his finger gently touch his cheek, his smile deepened.

He thought, if this is just out of gratitude, then it was hardly enough.

After all the help she received from him, how could this be enough?

The driver who had witnessed all this through the rearview mirror wished he could bury his head in the sand. He had never expected this to happen in his lifetime.

Arnold had been cold and indifferent since childhood, even towards his own family, his emotions barely changed. As he grew older and things happened, he developed a darker and deeper temperament that was hard to read.

While outsiders labeled him as uninterested in romantic relationships due to his apathetic nature, Arnold himself knew that he had a strong obsession. He wouldn’t settle, and would go to extreme lengths to have someone he desired, ensuring they were tightly within his grasp.

Being the Second Young Master Simmons came with great power and influence. There was a saying that anyone favored by Second Young Master Simmons was extremely precious, even a single strand of their hair. Yet, the driver wondered whether being favored by such a man was a blessing or a curse.
