Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts-Chapter 5783: Entering the Altar
Long Chen remained calm in the face of the elder’s sudden eruption. As the elder’s claw shot toward his head, he didn’t even bat an eye.
Just as the claw was about to touch Long Chen’s head, it stopped.
Old ghost, who are you trying to trick? Long Chen sneered internally.
If it were anyone else, their guilt might have made them look half-dead with terror. However, Long Chen could tell there was no true killing intent behind the elder’s overwhelming murderous aura. It was nothing more than an attempt to intimidate him. How could he possibly fall for such a cheap trick?
The elder's eyes flickered with the slightest astonishment when he saw Long Chen staring back at him fearlessly. He was merely testing Long Chen to see if he harbored any ulterior motives.
However, even if he wasn’t scheming, in the face of impending death, shouldn’t he at least show some panic?
“Brat, tell me the truth. Where did you get this tablet? This is a life tablet, not a tablet used for carrying out someone’s orders. Why would Yu Mo give this tablet to you? And why would you appear here?!” barked the elder.
So that was the issue.
This type of tablet was something they kept close at all times, not something handed out to subordinates.
Long Chen calmly replied, “You’ll have to ask Mistress Yu Mo yourself. She ordered me to come here and said that you’d understand once you saw it.”
He simply tossed the question back at the elder. The elder’s gaze sharpened as he studied Long Chen for a long moment before realization struck him.
“She wants to use your rainbow wing essence blood…” He abruptly shut his mouth, his expression hardening.
After a brief hesitation, the elder continued coldly, “Such a thing is against the rules. Why should I let you in just for her descendant? Hmph. I must admit though. You’re quite capable—to have won over both the senior and the junior. Go back and tell her that as long as I’m here, she has no chance of making this happen.”
Hearing that, Long Chen understood. The elder assumed that Long Chen intended to enter the altar to secretly pass the rainbow wing bloodline to someone inside.
That person had to be Yu Mo’s descendant. For them to be allowed inside the altar to absorb violet blood essence, they had to be immensely powerful.
From the elder’s words, it seemed that Ying Wudao was also connected to Yu Mo’s descendant. If Ying Wudao could pass his essence blood to that descendant inside the altar, it would allow them to absorb it far more efficiently. They might even awaken the rainbow wing race’s innate divine abilities or trigger some kind of mutation.
In reality, Long Chen had said nothing of the sort. He simply let the elder jump to conclusions on his own. At the very least, he now knew the elder did not doubt his identity.
Since Long Chen wasn’t sure if the elder would let him in, he started to think of another plan. If he were to launch a sneak attack and stab the energy storage dagger into the elder’s chest, he was sure the elder would comply.
Furthermore, considering Ying Wudao’s connection to Yu Mo, this elder would definitely take revenge on Yu Mo, not a mere Heaven Saint like him.
Realizing this, Long Chen smirked.

The elder’s expression darkened instantly. Just as he was about to speak, Long Chen cut him off.
“This response is within Mistress Yu Mo’s expectations. She said that as long as you let me through, she’ll agree to any of your conditions. Remember—anything.”
As he spoke, the dagger slid into his sleeve, but the elder, engrossed in his own thoughts, didn’t notice.
“Hmph… In that case…” The elder seemed to waver.
Then his eyes sharpened, and he snapped, “Why are you getting so close to me?! Scram!”
Long Chen had been inching closer, preparing to strike, but immediately pulled back.
Did it actually work?
Long Chen hadn’t expected the elder to actually agree. It seemed this elder indeed wanted something from Yu Mo.
Long Chen smiled as he retreated. “Sorry, this is just how close I am to Mistress Yu Mo. It’s a misunderstanding.”
The elder shivered and then bellowed, “Shut your mouth! And stop smiling! I’ll give you only an incense stick’s time. Once you're done, you have to leave immediately!”
Then, as if recalling something, he added, “Swear on your devil soul not to mention this to anyone else.”
Swear on his devil soul? Long Chen had no idea what that was, but it hardly mattered.
Long Chen replied, “Do you feel like such a thing is possible? Don’t mention it to anyone? What about Mistress Yu Mo? Other than that, her life tablet is in your hands. Do you really need some dogshit oath?”
The elder found that reasonable. Without another word, he pressed his palm against the stone gate. Runes swirled across its surface, forming a vortex.
The elder instructed, “Get in. And remember, you only have an incense stick’s time!”
Before Long Chen could step forward, the elder grabbed his shoulder and flung him inside.
The space around him twisted. When his vision cleared, he stood atop the altar he had previously observed with his divine sense.
However, this time, thousands of smaller sacks lay across it. The large one in the center remained, but dozens of others had been added around it.
The smaller sacks had likely been placed there afterward. The devil race had probably noticed that the violet blood race had plenty of cannon fodder, so they felt like there was enough violet blood energy to strengthen more heavenly geniuses.
The largest batch lay ahead—undoubtedly the earliest and most powerful members of this tribe.
Long Chen sensed the elder’s divine sense locked onto him and sighed. With so many sacks here, how was he supposed to know which one was Yu Mo’s descendant?
“Straight ahead, the seventh one on the right. Hurry up.”
The elder’s voice rang out.
He must have a record of everyone’s positions. Only he could pinpoint them with such precision. It was only natural that Long Chen wouldn’t know who was where. If he had gone straight to the right one, that would have been suspicious.
Long Chen swiftly reached the seventh sack and placed his hand on it, releasing the aura of Ying Wudao’s tablet. At the very least, it would look convincing.
At that moment, Long Chen felt the elder’s divine sense fade. It seemed the elder only cared about getting him here—whether Long Chen succeeded or not had nothing to do with him.
Just as Long Chen was examining the altar’s structure, Evilmoon’s delighted and greedy voice echoed in his mind.
“Oh, what dense Blood Qi!”
