The mystery and question of which creature was the first to arrive on earth rose as conflict seemed to slip in? Perdita internally questioned herself.
If this first creature and the second one were a vampire and witch respectively, were they the first to walk on Earth, and also where did that leave the humans? How were they created? And most importantly, where did these two creatures come from?
Questions swirled in the head of Perdita, questions that did not help in getting to the root of everything. But regardless of these puzzles which were yet to be solved, Perdita went ahead to read more.
The second Chapter with the title, THE BIRTH OF CONFLICT, read thus; In the very first beginning of the world, there existed different realms, realms filled with supernatural beings, both good and evil, accounting for seven realms in total.
In all these realms were rulers with great powers, welding magic like armor. These realms had lived separately without interfering with each other until one day, the rulers of two realms, the realm of Witforia and Vamdolone came together with one agenda in mind. To create another realm formed by the union of both realms through the process of mating and birthing new beings, and thus, they set out the goal in the secrecy of other realms.
For many decades, the rulers of these two realms crafted a new realm that would accommodate them when they would move over there to reproduce beings born from the mixture of them both who would in turn live in the new realm they called Earth.
The sole purpose of their agenda was their mad thirst for more power. Initially, the ruler of Witforia and the ruler of Vamdolone had thoughts of conquering the other realms and ruling them as their own, but this feat was not possible until they thought of creating another realm. To do this, they decided to mate and reproduce.
The realm of Witforia was a realm for the witches, and the coven in power then was the coven of the green-eyed witches. And it was ruled by a female witch. Whereas the realm of Vamdolone was the realm for vampires, and the ones in power were the pureblooded created vampires. Those who were the first to be created followed by those that were born from this created vampires.
In the realm of Witforia, where the sun dipped into the horizon and painted the sky with hues of crimson and gold, the history of witches began. It was a time when magic was common and owned by everyone, where they were free to use their magic as they wished. A time of great sorcerers and powers.
In the dawn of Witforia history, the first witches emerged, born from the primordial forces of nature. These early witches were guardians of the land, weavers of the elements, and keepers of ancient secrets. They harnessed the power of the land, air, water, and fire to maintain balance and harmony within the realm.
As Witforia evolved, so did the craft of witchcraft. The witches formed covens, each with their own unique traditions and specialties, and one of the significant differences among these covens was the different eye colors of each coven. The witches who had the same eye color came together and formed a coven. And in each coven, the darker the eye color, the greater the power of the witch. However, in the history of witches, the coven with the greatest power was the green-eyed coven family.
But with great power comes great danger. The green-eyed coven fueled by ambition and darkness, sought to exploit the craft for their own gain. However, these thoughts and power hunger were the doings of the ruler of the Witforia realm alone.
Throughout Witforia’s history, witches have played a crucial role in shaping the realm’s destiny. They have battled against darkness and evil, protecting the innocent and upholding the balance of nature, but when those known for protecting the balance of nature were the cause of an imbalance that affected all other realms, history was bound to change.
On the day when the two rulers of both realms fueled by their ambition and darkness to exploit more power through their magic, crossed over to the new realm which they had created, were not aware of the consequences of what their actions would lead to. As they crossed over from their original realm, they lost memory of who they were, how they came to live in that realm, and everything their brains had known. It was only the language they spoke their brain was able to retain.
As fate would have it, these two beings though separated initially during their transmigration later found their way back to each, other and thus, finished their earlier agenda, though they never knew about this or what they had planned initially.
Their union was a successful one as the result was the two beings they had birthed. The two birthed creatures a male and a female possessed the green eyes of the second creature who is the female ruler of the Witforia realm.
That same day unknown to the pureblooded vampire and the witch, the birth of the newborns in turn had caused an imbalance in the history of both vampire’s and the witch’s realms. And not only in these two realms but also among the other five realms as their union was a forbidden one. A union never heard before or witnessed.
This imbalance caused the earth to open and it led to the appearance of more creatures on this new realm called Earth. Following the appearance of these unknown creatures, a dispute arose amongst them as everyone wanted to covet the newborns of the vampire and the witch because they were seen as powerful beings who could control all seven realms. This was because the powers of both the ruler of the strongest and greatest green-eyed coven and the powers of the created pureblooded vampire were transferred to both newborns.
A great fight ensued between the seven realms, the pureblooded Vampire and the witch as they fought to protect their offspring from being snatched by other power-hungry supernaturals, but nothing they did could keep all of them safe. The worst of it all that had them at an absolute disadvantage was the fact they couldn’t remember anything from their past. The sole purpose now was to protect their newborns made from the union of them both.
During this conflict, the pureblooded vampire and the witch while fighting for the lives of their offspring also fought to know the reason why the other creatures wanted their offspring dead. When finally, the realization and their memory came back, everything had turned chaotic leaving no room for redemption.
The fight for the birthed vampire-witch and the rulers of the other realms caused a great war that unfortunately didn’t favor anyone, as each creature held powers of their own undefeated by the other. However, the use of too much magic and powers combined with the imbalance that had already been caused brought damage beyond repair to the world of supernatural beings.
It was recorded that the ruler of the Witforia witch realm of the green-eyed coven had weaved into her magical elements, harnessing the power from the new realm, Earth, and the powers of land, air, water, and fire which were once used to maintain balance and harmony to conjure a spellstorm that caused a magical cataclysm to happen.
This magical cataclysm had reshaped the world then, collapsing everything that led to significant changes in the balance of power thereby bringing rise to threats. Among all these coupled with the threat was unleashing the rise of a powerful entity who had suddenly emerged.
Left from the seven realms were few who were fortunate to have escaped the fatal blow, and to shield themselves, they all went extinct.
After the incident, the only remaining realms that were not destroyed totally were the Earth, water, air, and fire realms, and so rebuilding started which was orchestrated by the powerful entity that was unleashed.
This entity through the incredible powers he owned had brought the remaining four realms as one under the name Earth. The air realm which was once inhabited by creatures in possession of wings was placed above while the water realm once inhabited by creatures of the seas and oceans was taken below. The fire realm was placed at a point in the Earth’s surface where it would be most hard to venture into, and this place was later renamed hell.
It took several years for this entity to plan everything and rebuild the destroyed world, and when everything was found to be perfect, he caused the creatures who had once gone extinct to take their desired places. Some went under the water, some to hell, and the creatures of the air also maintained their initial habitat of the air.
In the water realm now were creatures known as mermaids, mermens, sirens, and several other creatures. And the ones in hell were the demons, vampires, witches, elves and so many others. The air realms held mostly the fairies.
This entity saw that all was settled and no more dispute would arise between the supernaturals, he then introduced and brought his own being crafted and made by him into the Earth. They were the humans. He commanded them to live on land. But before this entity left, he laid curses on these supernatural beings for causing harm to the world.
For the sea creatures, he cursed them to be ripped off their feet to be replaced by tails. The witches, he cursed with scarred skin that was hideous to look at. He also ripped off their abilities to conjure magic easily and replaced them with potions, signs, and markings as a means of tapping into their magical elements.
And for the demons, he cursed them never to step foot outside of hell, and the only food available to them would be blood. For the vampires, he caused them with the sun. The sun would melt their skin each time they stepped out unless it was dark, and so did the name night creatures associated with them came about, because they only dwelled in the dark. He also cursed them that their food would only be blood.
For the fairies, he cursed them to be attracted to light as this would always lead to their death once humans saw them outside. Therefore, to avoid this predicament, the fairies retired, only to be seen at night when the humans had gone to sleep.
This entity saw that all was done, and he too retired and was never seen again.
As Perdita continued to turn page after page, she deeply exhaled when she read to the last page.
"This is an incredible history," She muttered under her breath feeling her eyes now heavy with the amount of time she spent reading.
Just in time, Emily walked right in and placed the tray of food on the table with a smile still on her face. She announced, "Your afternoon meal, My Lady."
"Oh, thank you, Emily." Perdita expressed and set the finished book aside. She beckoned to Emily, "Sit down and eat with me, Emily. No arguments," She added when Emily made to refuse.
Just as Perdita was about to pick up her fork, her eyes caught a piece of paper that had slipped from the book she just finished reading. She picked it up and read its content,
It is I who have written the book you might have read. If you are opportune to read this little piece of writing, then I must say you are lucky.
Time will not permit me to go into detail, but I must say this, the siblings are coming back. The vampire-witch siblings born from the union between the witch and the pureblooded vampire are coming back with their powers intact. I don’t know how, but I must warn you of the nearest future as I was blessed with the ability to tap into ancient history and also see the future.
You must be doubting me but if you hear "Till the broken age and time. When the Hallows of the Nights invades the earth." know that they will be back. These were the last words spoken by the ruler of the realm of Witforia, the great green-eyed witch ruler before she breathed her last. Beware!
