The group had more discussions. Other than Wei Jingting, the others had a peaceful night. They couldn’t help but glance at this unlucky bastard. In the end, it was Liu Guo who said, “It’s getting late. We should follow up on our existing clues. We’ll reunite here before dark.” He warned, “Be careful of this mysterious woman. If our guesses are not wrong, this is most likely a crime of passion.”

Walking down the street and in the crowd, Fatty felt much better. Chu Jiu followed them with her eyes shining with determination. Fatty felt bad because he knew the determination came from the Doctor’s lie. He had no idea how Chu Jiu would react when the lie was exposed. Hopefully, he wouldn’t be there to see it when the mission ended.

He shook his head and cut to the chase. “Doctor,” He asked Jiang Cheng, who walked ahead. “Do you think the woman Wei Jingting mentioned is real?”

“She should be real.” Jiang Cheng turned around as if looking for someone.

Fatty worked his stiff neck. He hadn’t had a good night's sleep in days. The moment he closed his eyes, the ghost would appear to snap his neck. This was what he had to deal with after offending the Doctor.

“Wei Jingting sure is lucky.” Fatty sighed, “He encountered the ghost twice, but he survived both times.”
