Hidden within the depths of Emvita were the subterranean Hives of Scarlet Logic. Overfilled Monarchs laid in wait for the order to release the swarm. Though, few Monarchs had already begun.
The 10th Branch was one of the victims in Scarlet Logic’s warpath.
Meanwhile, within the Upper Sanctums of the Nexus, three figures stood in front of the Door of Wrath. All three were children, and they had identical faces to Frost. The Star Child, the Little Frost, and the Fragment of the Captured Star stared at the door, as though someone was knocking behind it.
“Brrr?”
“… I’m not sure why we stopped here.” The Fragment answered Snap, who ferried the three on its back.
The Star Child drew an equation in the air. Its meaning was lost to the Fragment, but she seemed to vaguely understand what she was trying to convey. At the same time, the Little Frost nodded childishly and waved at the door.
“Is someone in there?” The Fragment asked.
The Star Child answered with another equation, whilst the Little Frost replied with a toothy grin.
It was at this exact moment where Nav, who remained alone in a secluded section of the Eternal Library, dropped her cupcake. She pried her eyes away from a picture book detailing the human anatomy. As she bent down to pluck it from the ground, her hands moved to her throat, and then, her eyes glanced back at the book which showed a cross section of the esophagus.
She trailed a finger down her neck, flicked to the next several pages, and brought that finger down to her heart.
“A heartbeat constitutes life.” She recited a line from the book. “… What would change if I were to gain just one?”
She stumbled unexpectedly. When she regained her footing, she reached down for the cupcake once more, not realizing she had crushed it beneath her shoes.
“… Tch… It’s broken…”
Crumbs spilled between her fingers. The pink icing stuck to her nails. A soft glow filled her golden eyes, illuminating the dim room. But this light disappeared as quickly as it appeared, and so did the strange, longing sensation in her heart.

“Two halves meshed.”
“So that the stars of the new age may be born.”

At a Sect of Gears Heart of the City, well beneath the layers of Elysia, was a machine that spanned two hundred kilometers. Countless interlocking gears spun as the sounds of grinding metal dominated the air. So loud were these sounds that humans who were brought into this place to become Gears began bleeding out of their orifices.
If they were closer to the larger gears, then their lungs would rupture.
That being said:
“Upon the last clockwise turns, when the ratios match mine as the Astrolabe, then may we be finally attuned to the cycle of the cosmos.”
A Sky Disk, which was held in the hands of a Clockwork Prophet, flickered as it recited a speech. The mechanical voice belonged to Orloj, the leader of the Sect of Gears.
Behind the Clockwork Prophet were the Orbis Impuritas, including Iscario. Each Impuritas figurehead gathered at the edge of a cliff face to witness the single largest prediction of the Sect of Gears.
“Let the heaven’s fall at a ratio of 1:6.”
The world trembled. The ceiling cracked as a pale gear with a circumference of fifty-five kilometers descended. A halo of blue light encased it.
“Let hell rise at a ratio of 1:66.”
Then, the ground swelled before a black gear rose from the earth. It collided with the pale gear. The friction caused the gears to instantly fuse, becoming a single, deranged gear. Unimaginable heat radiated from it, and it incinerated Sect of Gear members, unturned humans, and any semblance of life within a ten-kilometer range.
“Our Brightest Star shall lead us to prosper as Stars in our fated Act.”

Beholder Marionette stared at the illustrations Lachesis had drawn in the air. War, an emotional turbulence, and finally, the confluence. The meaning was not universal, since the illustrations were unique to everyone.
But the message, nevertheless, was the same.
“Amalgam. Her companions. Friends. Enemies. Peers. The Tenth Act begins when the first crack forms along that seal.”
A seismic crack split the seal in half. Blue light gushed from the broken seal. The glowworms that were caught in the rays were raptured into the light. Lachesis instinctively avoided this light, as she too would suffer the same fate if the light grazed her.
Marionette brought a hand into a ray of blue light and smiled.
“All strings lead to one point. My final prediction, Amalgam, of the Tenth Act: at its tail end to conclude our stage play: is the War in Heaven. Follow me, O’ Venerated Amalgam. I shall take you to my Whitelight Apparatus–
–And may you create weapons to surpass those of the last War in Heaven.”
