Chapter 375: This brother... don’t you know it is important to negotiate first when invading another planet?

The other experts immediately began piling their criticisms onto Lia as well.

"Did you even spare a single thought for the rest of the planet?"

"Are you going to take responsibility when we all get slaughtered?" a burly 4th Rank man, a renowned expert of the north, roared at Bai Yue and Lia. "I never thought your foolishness would get this out of hand!"

"If I knew things were going to become like this, I would have stopped your movement myself!"

"And do not play games with me. Who is this Lord Grey fellow? Is he in the room with us? Why do I not see him here? We already gathered information about him in the southern region. He is just a weak 2nd Ranker that is trying to assimilate with a Lesser Heaven. Even if he succeeds, he will just be one of the many 4th Rankers. Bai Yue, I have no idea why you were listening to him!"

Lia and Bai Yue both fell completely silent upon hearing the onslaught of blame.

What the crowd said was not necessarily wrong.

They had strictly been acting under the orders of Grey. However, he had mysteriously gone missing for the past few months, and the World Will itself refused to reveal anything to them.

They didn’t know whether the assimilation was successful or not. And even if it was successful, there was not much he could do right now against a 5th Ranker if he came back.

Despite that, Lia had stubbornly continued breaking the chaos seals from the other side of the Blue Star. With each successful retrieval, she had gained a massive opportunity from the World Will, eventually pushing her to the 4th Rank.

She listened to her man’s words and what others said didn’t matter to her.

One way or another, she was a proud goddess after all.

Just as Lia was about to retort back, the 5th Rank expert watched their internal bickering. He was slightly stunned for a moment before throwing his head back and bursting into loud, mocking laughter.

"This is just great. To think the Blue Star would be so ununified."

"You, the man with a screw loose. You called yourself the ruler, didn’t you?"

"You are a weakling!" the 5th Rank being coldly spat. "You cannot even control your own people, and you do not even have unity. Is this what you call ruling?"

"You are just one of the many dogs that my people can easily crush."

Immediately, chuckles and laughter rang among the experts of the Crimson Core Planet.

They all looked at the experts with a sneer and mockery.

Then, the 5th Rank being’s expression suddenly turned serious.

"Since that is the case, I will show you the true strength of a 5th Rank being!" His voice echoed like thunder.

"All this drama, all these talks you pitiful creatures just made... they amount to absolutely nothing in the face of the absolute power of a 5th Ranker!" he loudly declared as power erupted from him.

The instant his power erupted, all of the native people paled in fright. Right now, the 5th Ranker’s presence covered the entirety of the Blue Star.

For a split second, all of the experts present felt a profound sense of dread. Luca was looking at the 5th Rank being with an ashen face.

Just as the seed of dread planted itself into the hearts of all the experts, a voice rang out.

"This brother... don’t you know it is important to negotiate first when invading another planet? Or else, who knows, someone else might come from the planet and then conquer yours in turn."

The voice was light and casual. It was not too loud, but everyone heard it perfectly.

All at once, everyone turned their gazes toward the source of the voice.

A man stood not too far from the 5th Rank being. He wore a casual black robe, and his striking white hair and black robe fluttered in the wind.

The instant they placed their eyes onto the person, all of the battlefield fell dead silent.

"G-Grey!" The instant Lia saw the man, she recognized him in a single glance even though he looked profoundly different than before.

All sorts of emotions welled up in her heart. A look of profound relief washed over her, but panic rose to her face just as quickly.

"Grey, stay away from him! He is at the 5th Rank!" Lia voiced her desperate concern.

"This is Grey?" The native experts all turned to look at the newcomer, and their gazes immediately turned hostile.

So, this was the man behind the movement to strip away the Chaos Seals. This was the man who had assimilated with a Lesser Heaven and plunged their world into a global crisis.

They scanned his aura. They could clearly sense his life level. He was, without a doubt, only at the 4th Rank, just like them.

"You are that Grey bastard?!" Luca’s expression twisted into pure, unadulterated anger the instant he laid eyes on him.

Seeing the hostility from their own side, Bai Yue and Lia exchanged a quick glance. Without a second thought, they blinked through space, positioning themselves directly in front of Grey with resolute looks on their faces.

Grey was slightly surprised by their protective stance, and then he chuckled, didn’t minding it.

"What do you plan to do, Luca?" Bai Yue inquired, her Sainthood bursting forth in full force. She was a 4th Ranker at the 9th Level, and Luca was at the 10th Level. If they fought, it would undoubtedly end in a bloody stalemate due to his unending spear of heaven.

The other native experts, on the other hand, did not take a single step to help Grey. They simply glared at him with naked killing intent. First, he was assimilated with a Lesser Heaven, making him a mutant in their eyes. Second, he was the sole reason their perfect, sheltered world had gone to absolute shit.

Just then, the Grand Polarity Master stepped forward, joining Lia and Bai Yue.

"The man that Werner calls his master. I hope I am not making the wrong decision here," he said, glancing back at Grey with a weary but determined sigh.

"Grand Polarity Master, do you actually plan on siding with him? He is a Lesser Heaven!" Luca spat, his face contorted in disgust.
