Necromancer: I Am A Disaster-Chapter 682: The Will God Awakens; The Sakura Kingdom Is Finished
Antares sent Lin Moyu away with a mix of “anger” and “frustration.”
He had revealed only a sliver of information, yet Lin Moyu had unraveled it into a sweeping analysis, deducing an astonishing amount from it.
Worse still, though half of it was speculation, he had been right practically every time.
To Antares, every extra minute spent with Lin Moyu felt like an assault on his own intelligence.
…
War raged across the Human World.
The air reeked of blood. Countless humans had fallen, and many small factions had been wiped from existence.
The human race had not faced a war of this scale in centuries. In just two days, casualties had reached staggering levels.
The battlefield was no longer confined to the Dimensional Battlefield. It had spilled directly into the Human World.
The Shenxia Empire activated the Eternal Great Wall, achieving the lowest casualty rate among all nations.
On the Dimensional Battlefield, its nine fortresses stood linked like an impenetrable wall of steel, holding the defensive line firm.
God-level experts entered the fray one after another, clashing in brutal combat against Demon Kings and Dragon Kings.
As long as this defensive section held, the Demon Dragonkind allied forces could not directly breach the Shenxia Empire in the Human World.
But the small factions were not so fortunate. Their defenses collapsed quickly. Fortresses were overrun, strongholds reduced to rubble.
Through the ruins surged the Demon and Dragonkind allied force, pouring into the Human World and appearing at the very gates of these factions.
The Human World became a slaughterhouse.
Lives were cut down like grass. Casualties were beyond count.
One small nation after another vanished into the flames of war.
Class users scattered and fled in all directions.
With every nation fighting for survival, there was nowhere left to seek aid.
The Shenxia Empire sealed its borders completely. Every city activated its defensive formations, forming a protective net across the entire nation.
Once the Eternal Great Wall was raised, no one was permitted entry.
Even Shenxia people were barred.
No one could be certain whether those who came in might be Dragonkind spies, or connected to the Demon Worship Society.
A single mistake could invite catastrophe.
There was no room for mercy. Only cold calculation.
Yet no matter how powerful the Eternal Great Wall was, it could not stop Antares.
With point teleportation, he sent Lin Moyu directly to the White God Courtyard.
Outside, war raged like a tempest. Inside, the courtyard remained serene—a hidden sanctuary untouched by chaos.
Lin Moyu released Meng Anwen and the other two from the Demon Extermination Tower.
After half a day within, their injuries had significantly improved.
“We’re back?” Bai Yiyuan stared in disbelief.
Yan Kuangsheng snorted, “Obviously.”
Though neither feared death, both felt the relief of surviving disaster.
Meng Anwen, calmer than the other two, looked at Lin Moyu, “Moyu, are you alright?”
Lin Moyu shook his head, “I’m fine. I can’t defeat the Dragon Emperor, but protecting myself isn’t a problem.”
Meng Anwen gave a small nod. He understood Lin Moyu’s abilities better than the other two.
In particular, with Antares behind him, survival was never the issue.
Meng Anwen had entered the Demon Extermination Tower earlier simply to avoid becoming a burden.
Bai Yiyuan glanced at the sky. The sunlight appeared distorted by the activated formations.
Meng Anwen immediately understood, “The Eternal Great Wall has been activated. My prediction was correct; the Dragonskind and the Demons have launched an invasion.”
“They’re attacking on three fronts, killing three birds with one stone.”
Yan Kuangsheng’s voice was cold, “They waited for the perfect moment to strike. The Demon Emperor and the Dragon Emperor are truly ruthless.”
Lin Moyu asked, “Teacher, what’s the situation now?”
Meng Anwen summoned the Shenxia Tower, “Let me check.”
The Shenxia Tower rotated in midair, releasing countless runes.
The Eternal Great Wall was a colossal formation. It not only linked the nine fortresses on the Dimensional Battlefield but also connected the entire Shenxia Empire.
Its scale surpassed even the Soul Fusion Grand Formation.
The Eternal Great Wall was the culmination of over a century of effort—generations of Shenxia people pooling their strength to create a final bulwark.
Since advancing to a God-level Formation Master, Meng Anwen had overseen its maintenance. No one understood it better.
Through the formation’s feedback, he assessed its condition.
The Eternal Great Wall remained largely intact. Only a few minor breaches had formed, insignificant in the grand scheme.
Meng Anwen let out a slow breath, “The Eternal Great Wall still stands.”
Relief rippled through the group. As long as the Eternal Great Wall remained intact, the Shenxia Empire would not fall.
Bai Yiyuan clenched his teeth, “Old Meng, send us to the battlefield. I’m going to spill some blood.”
Frustration had been choking him for days—first imprisoned against his will, then nearly causing Lin Moyu’s death.
He needed release.
Yan Kuangsheng stood beside him, the fury in his eyes burned just as fiercely.
Meng Anwen spoke calmly, “Fortress No. 9 and Fortress No. 8 are under the heaviest assault. You two will go there. Old Bai, Fortress No. 9. Old Kuang, Fortress No. 8.”
“Wait!” Bai Yiyuan barked, “Fortress No. 9? That’s where Ye Hao and Wang Lin are. Send me somewhere else.”
Meng Anwen’s expression hardened, “At a time like this, you’re still concerned about that? Besides, Senior Ye Hao has changed his stance. And now that the Demon Extermination Tower is in Moyu’s hands, what exactly are you holding onto?”
Bai Yiyuan shot him a glare, “You’re doing this on purpose.”
“Think what you like.” Meng Anwen snorted.
The Shenxia Tower resonated with the Eternal Great Wall. A beam of light descended, and Meng Anwen released a thread of law, forming a formation in an instant.
Before Bai Yiyuan could protest again, he vanished, teleported straight to Fortress No. 9.
Yan Kuangsheng followed, sent to Fortress No. 8.
Those two fortresses bore the greatest pressure in the Dimensional Battlefield, where fighting raged the fiercest.
But with Bai Yiyuan and Yan Kuangsheng reinforcing them, Meng Anwen had no doubt they would hold.
Lin Moyu asked, “Teacher, where are we going?”
Meng Anwen looked toward the distant horizon, “Not the Dimensional Battlefield. We will guard the nation’s border.”
The Shenxia Tower flared once more. A formation unfolded in midair, and the two disappeared.
A roar of crashing waves greeted them as they arrived at the empire’s far northeastern frontier.
Meng Anwen led Lin Moyu beyond the coverage of the Eternal Great Wall and continued flying another 100 kilometers.
Behind them lay the border of the Shenxia Empire.
War was best kept outside one’s gates.
Through the Eternal Great Wall’s formations, Meng Anwen had already gathered much intelligence. Lin Moyu asked nothing and simply followed.
Meng Anwen pointed northeast, “Do you know which nations lie in that direction?”
Lin Moyu nodded, “The Sakura Kingdom. The Bongja Kingdom. And several minor island states.”
Meng Anwen nodded, “Then watch closely. The show is about to begin.”
Less than five minutes later, an immense surge of energy erupted.
The energy carried a law aura, though the law felt rigid and inflexible.
Far in the distance, a colossal figure manifested between heaven and earth.
Though hundreds of kilometers away, its form was clearly visible. It towered thousands of meters high, as if holding up the sky itself.
Lin Moyu narrowed his eyes, “The Sakura Kingdom’s Will God?”
Meng Anwen smiled and nodded, “Exactly.”
Understanding dawned on Lin Moyu, “If they’ve summoned the Will God… they must be on the brink.”
That was indeed the case. The Will God was the Sakura Kingdom’s final trump card. Its appearance meant desperation.
Heaven and earth shook.
Also about 100 kilometers away, a towering mountain tore free from the land, rose into the sky, and reshaped itself into a powerful warrior.
The Bongja Kingdom’s Will God had awakened as well.
