National Guardian's Gone and We're Done-Chapter 90: Is There Anyone Stronger Than You? Perhaps Even Stronger
Chu He’s eyes were locked on the three dazzling words on the system panel: God-Beating Whip.
This was the second physical reward he had received from the system, after the Xuanyuan Sword.
"The God-Beating Whip. This whip is three chi, six cun, and five fen long, coiling like a dragon-serpent. Its body has twenty-one segments, each engraved with four sigils for a total of eighty-four, symbolizing the number of heavenly spirits and earthly fiends."
Chu He softly recited the description of the God-Beating Whip.
In a distant manor, Chu He’s true self was leisurely basking in the sunlight while his Primordial Spirit Avatar had quietly taken control of Xiao Cangqing’s body.
The phone call had provided Xiao Cangqing with a response.
"The organization has agreed to your request. However, you must pass an internal assessment to become a truly trusted member of our New World Organization."
"Rest assured, the organization holds you in high regard and sees you as a seed of limitless potential."
The person on the other end of the line continued, "If you pass the assessment, I hope you’ll look out for me in the future."
Xiao Cangqing held the phone, but it was actually Chu He controlling his body to communicate.
After the call ended, a car soon arrived.
After getting in, Xiao Cangqing was taken directly to an airport in Green Forest City.
A small plane was waiting quietly there.
He got out of the car and boarded the plane.
The plane sped down the runway, took off, and soared through the clouds, disappearing into the azure sky.
All the windows were sealed shut, but Chu He could still feel the plane gradually moving away from the lands of the Great Jing Empire.
He didn’t bother trying to sense their destination, simply sitting quietly in his seat and enjoying the thrill of the flight.
After a five or six-hour flight, the plane finally landed smoothly in an unfamiliar land.
Chu He, controlling Xiao Cangqing’s body, disembarked from the plane and got into a car that was already waiting.
The car drove along desolate country roads, and the surrounding scenery became increasingly foreign and novel.
Before long, they arrived at a seemingly ordinary, unremarkable town.
Judging by the architectural style, this was clearly a foreign country.
The afterglow of the setting sun cast a peaceful light over the buildings.
Accompanying Xiao Cangqing was a middle-aged man—the contact from Green Forest City.
Although his strength was only at the peak of a Ninth Grade Martial Artist, for him, such a level was more than sufficient.
He smiled at Xiao Cangqing and said, "Don’t be nervous. The personal assessment is very simple. Some people might only need a few minutes, and some even come out in a matter of seconds."
"Next, you will meet the true Deities of the New World Organization."
’Deities?’
’Do Deities really exist in this world?’
Chu He pondered the question.
The true destination was hidden deep within a vast, continuous old-growth forest.
The middle-aged man clearly knew the terrain like the back of his hand. He led Xiao Cangqing into a church that looked ordinary but exuded a mysterious aura.
Chu He’s Spiritual Power silently unfurled like fine threads, instantly detecting a vicious aura hidden deep beneath the earth.
It was the breath of an Evil Spirit from the abyss—powerful, terrifying, and unlike anything Chu He had ever sensed before.
Even while controlling Xiao Cangqing’s body, Chu He couldn’t help but reveal a flicker of astonishment.
’Could this be the true core of the New World Organization?’
The middle-aged man led Xiao Cangqing to an elevator.
Inside, all the buttons were negative numbers, glowing with a sinister, cold light.
He pressed the button for the -30th floor, and the elevator began its slow descent, as if it were an entrance to another world.
As the elevator descended, the surrounding temperature dropped, and the frigid air seemed to pierce to the bone.
The elevator doors slowly opened. The middle-aged man stopped and didn’t step out with Xiao Cangqing.
Standing inside the elevator, he said calmly, "From here, you just need to walk straight ahead along the path."
Xiao Cangqing nodded and stepped out of the elevator.
The moment the elevator doors closed, his body suddenly went limp, completely losing all its strength.
’He Transformed and Free Great Method!’
Chu He recited the name in his mind. A distorted figure appeared out of thin air, gradually solidifying into Chu He’s true self.
Using the Primordial Spirit Avatar he had left behind, combined with this miraculous Magic, he had successfully transferred his main body to this mysterious place.
With a flicker, Chu He’s figure appeared before a massive monster.
This monster had the head of a goat, the torso of a human, the lower body of a deer, and the cloven hooves of a goat.
Even stranger, it had the tail of a scorpion.
A green flame burned at the tip of the tail’s stinger, emitting a ghastly chill.
SWISH!
The moment Chu He appeared, the monster’s goat head snapped its eyes open, a vicious light glinting within them. "Such audacity! A human dares trespass here!"
Chu He’s expression was calm. "To be able to speak human words, you truly are extraordinary. You must be the High-level Evil Spirit lurking beneath this land, and also the strongest Evil Spirit I have ever seen."
The air was thick with the stench of blood. The ground was covered in a dense pile of human bones, resembling a small hill.
Chu He didn’t need to guess to know these were the atrocities committed by the New World Organization to venerate this goat-headed Evil Spirit.
"Just another tasty morsel."
The goat-headed Evil Spirit let out a mocking sneer, its scorpion tail whipping violently behind it.
The green flame instantly split into countless streams of fire, raining down on Chu He like a meteor shower.
The fire contained a potent venom and destructive power, threatening to swallow Chu He in endless darkness.
Chu He didn’t retreat. He shot backward while simultaneously clenching his right hand into a fist and punching forward.
His True Qi, refined by his Golden Core, surged out like a torrential flood, instantly turning the subterranean space into a vacuum.
With a deafening "BANG,"
the rampaging green flames were extinguished as if by a torrential downpour.
The goat-headed Evil Spirit’s massive body also shattered under the impact, sending fragments of flesh flying everywhere.
Then, its body, originally over ten meters tall, began to convulse violently and shrink.
It finally transformed into a panting, goat-headed Evil Spirit about the size of an average adult human.
This was its true form, and it looked utterly wretched.
"You... you’re not human! How could a human possess such power?"
The goat-headed Evil Spirit’s voice was filled with clear shock and terror.
The confidence and pride it had built up over so long were utterly shattered in that one moment.
In a single instant, the goat-headed Evil Spirit had suffered an unprecedented blow. The power it had recovered by devouring members of the Human Race was stripped away in a flash, sending it back to square one.
Noticing the human-like emotion flickering in the goat-headed Evil Spirit’s eyes, Chu He was struck by an idea and asked, "Submission or death?"
"Submission," the goat-headed Evil Spirit replied without a hint of hesitation.
The gap in their power was too vast; it knew it had no room to resist.
"What is your name?" Chu He asked.
"Bafumie," the goat-headed Evil Spirit answered truthfully.
At that moment, the system’s notification sound echoed in Chu He’s mind. "Ding! Mission successful. The God-Beating Whip has been delivered to the host’s personal inventory and can be retrieved at any time."
Chu He continued his conversation with Bafumie. "You must know a fair bit about the human world outside, or you couldn’t have established such a large organization."
"I’m quite curious about you. What is your rank among the Evil Spirits?"
In their brief conversation, Chu He had already discovered that this goat-headed Evil Spirit’s intelligence was far from ordinary.
Its thoughts were as meticulous and its logic as clear as a human’s.
The last time he had felt this way was with the Evil Spirit in the Great Jing Empire known as the ’Rotten Man’.
However, compared to Bafumie, even the Rotten Man seemed much inferior.
The Bafumie before him possessed nearly all the cognitive traits of a human.
Bafumie pondered for a moment before answering, "Among Evil Spirits, I suppose I could be considered upper-middle tier."
"Are there others stronger than you?" Chu He pressed.
Bafumie nodded. "Of course."
"For example, the Lighthouse Empire, which you humans are familiar with, is controlled by a group of Vampires."
"How strong are those Vampires?" Chu He asked.
Bafumie answered seriously, "If we’re talking about their Ancestor Level Vampires, they might be even stronger than you."
"Those beings possess power and intelligence far beyond that of ordinary Evil Spirits. They are not beings I would dare to provoke."
